2. Traumatic brain injury:-
• TBI also known as intracranial injury, occurs when an external
force injures the brain.
• TBI can be classified based on severity, mechanism (closed
or penetrating head injury)
• TBI can result in physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and
behavioral symptoms, and outcome can range from complete
recovery to permanent disability or death.

1. Open head Injury:- bullet , wound
2. Closed Head Injury:- slip and fall, motor vehicle crashes
3. Deceleration Injuries:- Diffuse Axonal Injury
4. Chemical/Toxic:- insecticides, solvents, carbon monoxide
poisoning, lead poisoning.
5. Hypoxia:- Lack of Oxygen
6. Tumors:- cancer can grow on or over the brain
7. Infections:- life-threatening diseases of the brain
(encephalitis) and meninges (meningitis)
