 Develop strong workingandstrategic relationshipswiththevendors.

 Work closelywith MarketingandtheMangersto developadvertising strategieswhichdrives salesand developsthe
growthof the Categories.
 Analyze andrecommendkeybrandandassortmentstrategies for in-store presentationdeliveringonthe overall
categorystrategy for stores.
 Support supplychainindevelopingkeylogisticsstrategiessupportingthe categorystrategies andstore requirements.
Lead, with the commercial Team thedayto day functionsofthe categories whenneed -Newitem selection,samples,
ad info, costchanges,store info. etc.
 Instruct andcollectinternal/externaldataandperform analysis to support categoryplanning -makerecommendations
for changesasrequired.
 Oversees the developmentof categoryplans.
 Interacts with supplierstoensure goodinformationflowandto continuallybuildonour relationshipswithoursuppliers.
 Plan, forecast, reporton sales andbusinessperformance,accordingtocompanyrequirements.
 Controlcategorybudgets(Sales, Profitability, stocks managementandcontrolthelosses).
 Maintainhealthystockturns. Develop ongoing liquidationplansforexcessanddormantstocksto keep stocklevels on
targets.
 Maintain,developandimplementpurchasinginstructions,policies,andprocedures.
 Plan, coordinateandimplementadvertisingandpromotional initiatives
 Maintainawarenessofmarkettrends inthe retail industry, understandingforthcomingcustomerinitiatives,and
monitoringlocal competition
 Researchandevaluatesuppliers &brands basedon price,quality, selection,service,support, availability, reliability,
distributioncapabilities,andthesupplier'sreputation
 Negotiateandadministercontractswithsuppliersandotherrepresentatives.
 Review catalogs,industryperiodicals,directories,tradejournals,andInternet sites, andconsultwithother department
personnelto locatenecessarygoodsandservices
 Attend meetings,tradeshows, conferences,tonetworkwith potentialsuppliers.
 Write and review productspecifications,maintainingaworkingtechnicalknowledgeofthegoodsor services to be
purchased
 Monitorchangesaffectingsupplyanddemand,trackingmarketconditions,pricetrendsetc

 Evaluating the offers & quotationsfrom suppliers

 Visiting competitors&discussingwithrespectivesuppliersforany issues
 Monitoringdailysales& stock
