ad info, costchanges,store info. etc.
Instruct andcollectinternal/externaldataandperform analysis to support categoryplanning -makerecommendations
for changesasrequired.
Oversees the developmentof categoryplans.
Interacts with supplierstoensure goodinformationflowandto continuallybuildonour relationshipswithoursuppliers.
Plan, forecast, reporton sales andbusinessperformance,accordingtocompanyrequirements.
Controlcategorybudgets(Sales, Profitability, stocks managementandcontrolthelosses).
Maintainhealthystockturns. Develop ongoing liquidationplansforexcessanddormantstocksto keep stocklevels on
targets.
Maintain,developandimplementpurchasinginstructions,policies,andprocedures.
Plan, coordinateandimplementadvertisingandpromotional initiatives

2. Researchandevaluatesuppliers &brands basedon price,quality, selection,service,support, availability, reliability,

Negotiateandadministercontractswithsuppliersandotherrepresentatives.
Review catalogs,industryperiodicals,directories,tradejournals,andInternet sites, andconsultwithother department
personnelto locatenecessarygoodsandservices
Attend meetings,tradeshows, conferences,tonetworkwith potentialsuppliers.
Write and review productspecifications,maintainingaworkingtechnicalknowledgeofthegoodsor services to be
purchased
Monitorchangesaffectingsupplyanddemand,trackingmarketconditions,pricetrendsetc
Touringthesalesfloorregularly, talkingto salesassociatesandcustomers,andidentifyingor resolving urgentissues
