Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
1. Explain aspects of a health assessment which should be included by nurses.
2. Identify abnormal findings from a health assessment.
3. State appropriate nursing diagnoses based on a client’s health assessment.
4. Correctly write a nursing diagnosis including evidence, cause, and diagnostic
label.
5. Correctly state an appropriate patient goal for a client’s nursing diagnosis.
6. Plan appropriate nursing interventions for client problems, including giving
rationale for their interventions.
7. Identify appropriate strategies for evaluation and follow-up of a nursing care
plan.
