Electrolytic solution :- It is a solution where molecules are
bound by an electrovalent bond.
Electrovalent bond :- It is also known as IONIC BOND,
i.e. a complete transfer of electrons.
Eg, NaCl
At anode :- ( +ve terminal )
A- → 1e- + A ( Half oxidation )
At cathode :- ( -ve terminal )
C+ + 1e- → C ( half reduction )
Overall reaction :-
A- → 1e- + A
C+ + 1e- → C
A- + C+ → C + A
