From Event to Action: Accelerate Your Decision Making with Real-Time Automation
Media eval 3
1. What have you learnt from
audience feedback?
Throughout the entire editing processes every couple of weeks we would
render what we had. This was called creating a rough cut. We would then
share this on our social media websites and show our focus group.
2. Once the first rough cut had been
exported we showed our focus group to
gain there opinions and gather some
feedback.
After they had watched the clip the
focus group condensed their feedback
and gave us a few notes on how to
improve the music video. The main
points of improvement were..
• Ensure the we synced the lyrics and
video correctly.
• Slow down the pace of the editing to
match the alternative genre
conventions.
• Sequencing of shots
3. Once we had gained feedback from our second screening we began to make improvements.
All green screen shot removed as we
felt this did for fit our genre
The shots from the new location showed
much more emotion
Shots were Tyler looks away from the
camera were removed
We filmed at new locations
4. Finally we also used social media websites to promote
and gain feedback. We used websites like YouTube,
Facebook and Twitter. He we posted the rough cuts and
final exports.
Post the video on these sites let users from all around
the world view and comment on the video. Were we
gained some useful feedback.
After making the improvements and fixtures from the
first rough cut we created another. Again we exported
the music video and this time we shared it via our social
networking sites.
Here I have screen captured somebody giving us
feedback on twitter.
5. After showing them the rough cut we also went thought a similar process with
the posters . Initially we created a selection of possible poster ideas and
showed them to the focus group and other students in the class.
6. After showing them the poster ideas we had and taking in there feedback. We began to
looking into and develop new ideas with there feedback in mind. This time we used the
comments from the focus group and tried to make the poster better with the music video.
