Question 4Audiences
The audience of our film would be the
working-class youths of today.
Our target audience was 16-20 year
old males in the UK. We tried to
create the most urban feel of which
we possibly could when creating our
film.
We thought that, in order to make the
youths be able to relate to our film
best we would have to set it in the
present day, and portray the lives of
the working class teens.
In order to give the audience the most
urban feel we dressed the characters
in stereotypical teen clothing, e.g.
hoodies. This allows the audience to
quickly be able to identify the class
and hierarchy of the characters.
The audience would be in the UK as
the film was produced and would be
distributed here. It also shows the
lives of people in this country.
The age is 16-20 as this behavior is
stereotyped most with this age
bracket.
How do we attract the
Audience?
We Manage to attract our target
audience by following the lives of
our characters.
Because our story follows the
lives of our characters, it makes
the audience relate and have
feelings for our characters, for
example, as Arran is the
smallest and is getting told what
to do by the bigger guys, then
the audience may feel
sympathetic towards him.
Also, the audience should be
attracted to our urban feel and
the fact that we have produced a
‘home-grown’ film, about a
fictional situation, that could
potentially happen, in the urban
areas of the country.
Here we can see some of our actors.
This is not exactly what they wore on
shoot, but the clothing is of the same
style and era. These are clothes that
are stereotyped with the working
class of today and are very urban.
It shows our audience that the film is
set in the present time and the
audience can relate to the characters
as they are like he people of today
