Film poster and interview evaluation essay
My film poster appeals to my target audience because it is eye catching. The colours are
bright and the masthead is big and clear. It includes the names of the actors who are well
known so fans of these actors will want to watch this movie. The target audience is aimed
at teenage girls and the film poster is mostly pink which co notates love and girls normally
like the colour pink. The star rating appeals to the target audience so they know it’s a
good movie. The tagline also appeals to the target audience so that they would have an
idea what the movie is about. My film poster shows that the film is out on Valentine’s
Day, this will attract the target audience because they will be able to know what to do on
Valentine’s Day, and that is to watch the film. My interview appeals to my target audience
because it is informative; it includes lots of information about the film so that the target
audience will know the institutions of the film poster. My interview interviews the stars of
the film so that they can tell the target audience all about the film. It also shows clips from
the film to give the target audience an idea of how it’s like.
I would place my film poster in public places like the underground stations, on buses, as
part of TV adverts, on the sidebars of popular websites like facebook, youtube and
twitter, shopping malls and cinemas to promote it and so that more people can see it. I
would do my interview in a popular channel like MTV or T4 so more people will watch it. I
could also get other famous celebrities that are popular with the target audience, to
watch the film and then tell the target audience how it was like through the interview.
Other forms of promotion for my film would be on the adverts on the TV and cinema
trailers so when people watch a movie they can see what movies will be out in the future.
I would also promote it using competitions in magazines, cereal boxes, on food items and
on TV. I could also promote my film by using it on advertisements on DVDS. Another way I
can promote my film poster is using social media, so there can be fan pages on facebook, I
can get the well known actors to tweet and write on facebook about their new upcoming
movie so that their fans and people who follow them will be able to know about it.
