Twitter Assignment- #4
Michael Zimmer is a technology integration specialist. His tweets were mainly linked to
tools teachers can use to incorporate technology in their classroom. I did not find his
information as enlightening. There were multiple links to information on where to find these
tools but no information on how to really put these tools into action. I did like the tweet about
the science resources to make science fun. These resources were for children ranging from pre-k
through high school. This is important to incorporate to make learning fun and hands on. The
other tweet was about ClassCharts, a free resource that is utilized to make seating charts for
classes and track student behaviors. While this at first did not seem important, but as I read this
it was actually very cool. This tool could show patterns of behavior that student Y acts out when
they sit by student B, but does fine when seated by student D. By looking at this information it
could be a great tool to help a teacher have the best class setting possible. The tool also allowed
other teachers that come into contact with the students to enter information so the main teacher
could view the information and make deductions from the info provided. While this tool would
only be as good as the information entered in the system it could be very beneficial.
