Studies repeatedly show a cost of 1.5-2.5 of annual salary
for any lost employee. (Josh Bersin, Deloitte; Center for
American Progress). We assumed an avg annual salary of
80k. The cost is incurred by: recruitment cost, onboard
cost, training cost, loss of productivity due to vacant
position, cultural impact on morale.
Gallup showed in a studay that top engagement leads to 20%
increase in revenue. Willis Towers Watson arrived at a similar
number – 19% increase in operating income for companies with
high engagement.
Three different studies have put the decrease of absenteeism at 40-
65% for high-engaged companies. Additionally, effects of high
engagement on higher customer satisfaction and brand perception
have been shown (but not counted in this case).
