2. How helpful was your analysis research on your
chosen theme ?
In the class work that we done for example; presentation of textual analysis or watching documentary. It was helpful for
me because I start understanding more about camera angles and what effects you can use in your film. I also found
helpful watching documentaries because it helped me realised what kinda sound effects people use in their films. Overall I
think that my analysis research was helpful because it made me understand more about editing like cut, fade or jump cut
also I got information about sound effects like diegetic, non-diegetic or narration. I applied a lot of my knowledge from my
textual analysis to make my movie better and more professional. From tv drama “Prison Break” I learned that
establishment shot shows the audience where the rest of the episode is going to be set and introduces the audience to
the area.
3. How helpful/successful was the pre-production
process ?
The pre-production process was successful to me as well as my group. We done pre-production like;
storyboard, call sheet and proposal for a story. The storyboard personally helped me with camera angles
and locations. The proposal for a story was helpful as well it let us to stick on the story. The call sheet
was not that helpful because we didn't had a lot props or any other mise-en-scene. Overall I think that
pre-production process is very important before filming.

4. How successful was your production (filming)?
The one of biggest weaknesses in my group filming was camera and camera angles to make
improvements we should practise by filming more and try to make our videos as professional as we can.
The group strengths was editing and sound effect. We done a lot of research to find bests sound effects
also we done editing like vignette or just shades and colours. My group role was main character on our
short movie also I was editing the movie and helping with storyboards and call sheets.

5. Which genre conventions did you follow?
We used genre conventions like sound effects because it was horror movie we
used intense sound effects to make audience jump. We also used darker colours
to make screen look darker and more scary. In our story we chosen to put a lot of
running to make movie more intense and interesting. We used a high camera
angle in order to make the character to look vulnerable.

6. Audience Feedback
Film
The effects was good like vignette.
The audience liked sound effects.
The music was needed.
The movie was short.
Poster
The audience liked dark colours
The audience liked that cover is simple
The title should be more outstanding
The audience liked spacing
The audience feedback that you can see on the left
page side. I have agreed with all the comments my
class group have said. But I don't agree with a
comments “the music was needed” because it was
short film not a music video so you don't need to put
music on every single scene. Overall i'm really
happy with audience compliments and criticisms.

7. What improvements could you have made?
Me and my group should work more on camera because the camera in the film
was shaky and not that stable. To make improvements we should try to film
more and film as professional as we can.
We also need to work on editing skills because while we edit we had a lot of
trouble with sound effects. I think in the future we should try work more on
Adobe premiere pro and ask for help if we needed.
I personally need to work on my photoshop skills how to make picture look more
realistic and try to use brighter colours. To make improvements I should try
watch tutorials on youtube and try photoshop at home.
