2. Analyze the Learner
• Teaching the parts of the digestive system to
4th graders.
• There are 20 students 10 girls and 10 boys.
• There are 8 African Americans, 2 Chinese, and
10 whites.
3. Main Objectives
My students will describe how the digestive
system works after looking at diagrams,
participating in class songs and dances, seeing
videos, playing games, and making posters by
the end of the week with 95% accuracy.
4. Day by Day Breakdown
1. On this day I will introduce the digestive system.
2. On day two my class will learn about where the
digestive system begins.
3. On day three my class will learn about the
esophagus.
4. On day four my class will learn about the
stomach and liver.
5. On day five my class will learn about the small
and large intestines.
5. Use of Technology
Students will use the computers in lab to get
pictures and information for their posters, and
they will use websites to learn more about the
digestive system.
