The myth of Dracula may be one of the most known myths in history. In fact,
American film, book or TV industries use Dracula’s image to create their products.
This myth isn’t false completely, because Dracula existed. His real name was Vlad
Dracula (born in 1431 in Sighisoara) and he was known as Vlad the Impaler. He
had that nickname, because his father denied the throne to him so, he became a
cruel warrior obsessed with revenge. His victims were impaled in enormous sticks
and people say that he drank his victims blood.

3. Myth of Transylvania; the Dracula we know
The Dracula we know was fictician character from the 1897 gothic horror novel
“Dracula”, written by Bram Stoker. The novel tells that Count Dracula was a
vampire that lived in the enormous castle of Transylvania and that he purchased
another castle in England just to try new blood.
Fact: Bram Stoker never visited Transylvania, not either Romania.
