The owl is a nocturnal bird that lives in wooded areas in Spain. It eats mice, rabbits, spiders, and sometimes fish and reptiles. Owls sleep during the day in trees to hide from predators. The Iberian lynx is the animal that represents Spain. It lives in Mediterranean forests and scrublands, eating ungulates, small mammals, and other birds. Adult male Iberian lynx can weigh up to 20kg while females weigh up to 9.3kg.
