Web technology, social media, and "smart phone" allow for a greater sense of independence and self–discovery. As Turkle (2012) suggests, there is a
contradiction between connection and disconnection that technology imposes on users. To be tethered is to be connected, but the connection is
beyond time and space, meaning being physically absent, but emotionally present. Likewise, Turkle (2012) argues that it is odd that individuals
participate in the collective activity while being somewhere else. Similarly, the self is invisible, and the ways in which the self can develop and
form are physically absent. Technology allows for a greater sense of control over one's conversation and interactions, yet, the control is illusive. The
relationship is contradictive, meaning as technology allows for a greater sense of control, but also becomes a source of obligation. Therefore, Turkle
(2012) suggests that web technology creates an overload of information, which is troublesome because we are constantly surrounded my information,
and we do not know how to piece information together or make sense of it. The instantaneous clicking of a button does not allow an individual to
analyze an issue. Thus, an instant response undermines our ability to think critically. While I do agree with Turkle that we do not know how to peace
or process the information available to us, I would argue that web technology is not the primary source responsible for our inadequacies. Being a college

It tested the market with the simple technology – PayPal text payment. The service was not widely accepted in the market due to its low performance.
The strategy of mobile market emerging was clearer. It emerged with the advanced technology – NFC immediately its standard was announced and
launched with its Android application. Moreover, when Square introduced a mobile credit card reader and mobile wallet, PayPal did not hesitate to
imitate its technologies and top up with other innovations, such as credit card image reader by acquiring
Card.io to prevent ruining of Square when its technology was widely adopted in the market.
New product development
The first product of PayPal, digital wallet on PDA; was a great radical idea of both inventors. The digital wallet technology was equipped with both
secured core technology and attractive interface for customer but the inventors were lack of consideration to the technology environment and
customers' needs. It was ahead of the time due to too little number of PDAs, its host technology. Ten years later, a mobile phone became popular and
much smarter than before by many great inventors in recent years – Steve Jobs and his team at Apple, Google's Android team and Samsung and even
the late inventor for a mobile phone Microsoft. A mobile phone became common thing for people.
When customer need came upon with technology capability, the technology gain a chance of
success.
