1. Task 6: Recce
Being students at school we are lucky to
be able to have chosen to record our
audio advertising adverts in the RSR
studio. This is at Parsonage Barn Ln,
Ringwood, BH24 1SE. You will find the
RSR Studio in the school Geography
block. This is a good location as it is
easily accessible and has all the
equipment in it which we may need.
This is a small, quiet room which is ideal
to record an audio advert as there will
be no interference of any background
noise. This is very important as if we were to hear any
background noise then it would be difficult to record
the perfect audio as we would be distracted. The
availability of the room is already set as we have
asked the head of the radio station if we could use
this space. Also we will need to take into
consideration when the school radio station will be
live and steaming, as obviously we will not be able to
use the studio at this time. As I will be located in the RSR Studio where there are many
power sources to supply all of the equipment I will only use the equipment that we may
need as I do not want to risk my health and safety and the people in the room with me at
that time. From the photos you can see that there is lots of equipment on the floor, some in
boxes and some not. As this is a studio there is also lots of wires in the studio which may be
a tripping hazard. I am going to make sure that all of this equipment and the wires are kept
safety away in the boxes so that nobody trips over them and hurts themselves. Also, if no
one is using the spare chair then this will be moved so that nobody trips on the legs. Having
all of the equipment and other items tucked away or moved will give the small room more
space to record the audio adverts and will reduce the chances of any risks.
