1. What have I learnt about
technologies from the process
of constructing this product?
From using a camera I have learnt that although it
may look very simple to pick up a camera and
record there are a lot of features of a camera that
must be controlled for it to work right.
Especially when it comes to filming
as part of your coursework you
must make sure you know the ins
and outs of how to use a camera.
I've learnt that a single camera cannot be
used to pick up the sound of the dialogue
in a scene a mic is needed for the speech
and other sounds to be clear.
Cameras need to be set up in a
particular way so that the framing
of the scene is perfect showing
the whole scene, i.e. a characters
head cannot be cut off.

2. Experimenting with the camera helped
me get an understanding of how it
functions in terms of zooming in and out
and using camera apparatus such as the
tripod.
Using the tripod I was able to figure out how to use it
well enough so that I could position the camera is the
most useful way to get the best shot.
Whilst filming I needed to ensure that the
camera was at the right angle for when
shooting a particular scene for example a
close up, establishing shot, mid shot etc. This is useful as it makes the film look more
professional which makes the audience want to
watch it. Using different shots makes the whole
clip flow in a way that the audience are able to
understand what is happening from scene to
scene.

3. The Editing Process:
Before we started with the editing we had to make sure that all the clips we shot
on the camera was saved onto the computer along with the sound clips that
went with it.
We used a programme called iMovie which we also used when editing and
putting our preliminary task together, however although I had used this
programme before I was still not so quite familiar with the different features it
had offer. Editing did take time as you had to ensure all the clips where put
together to make it look and flow like an actual film.
The arrangement of scenes is important as it has to be able to make sense for
the audience to understand the story.
I have learnt how to remove a scene that is not wanted and how to place it with
the correct scene. Matching the sound clips to the scene was not much of a
struggle as it was already in order but I just needed to make sure that it was
matched according to the clip.
