The document discusses adapting the video game Rainbow Six Siege into a television show. It will follow various counterterrorism teams around the world as they complete missions. Each episode will introduce new characters and their backstories before showing them work as a team. The show aims to feel realistic while including fictional elements from the game. It will appeal primarily to male audiences aged 16-26 who are fans of the action-packed first person shooter. However, there are opportunities such as a lack of existing adaptations, but also constraints like a need for a large budget and addressing sensitive subject matter appropriately.

1. The story & Genre
I will adapt the game into a television show that is action based and will be based on
events in the game so it will include fictional elements but will also include realism of
what real life Counter terrorist units experience on a daily basis.
A secret contact called ‘Six’ has reactivated a program to deal with counter terrorists
as they have increased in activity and are becoming more advance, creating a
chemical to wipe out thousands. The team are first sent on a mission where they first
come face to face with this chemical at Bartlett university in America.
As I have said throughout my previous documents I will introduce a team each
season, starting by introducing each individual character then two final episodes
showing the team working together. In the introducing of the characters will include
backstory and physical information from individual’s bios from the game. I could
include crossover of teams once I have introduced so many teams many as a finale.

2. What am adapting and what is it?
I will be adapting a computer game called Rainbow Six Siege. The game is a first person
shooter and allows you to play as different counter terrorist teams around the world.
Each individual character has their own unique piece of equipment or skill to use in
combat. The game is objective based people will either have to capture or secure an
objective or defend it, playing games that can last up to 9 rounds.

3. Cinematic
Costumes – These will have too look modern and casual as it is in todays time.
When in their gear it will be a lot like the game to identify each character
easier and people be able to tell they are going to see some action.
Editing – It will be edited to the highest quality making the effects realistic.
The fades and transitions will also be used and a digital title added on the
recording of the name of the Counter terrorist team such as FBI.
Camera – Some shots will be far away to set the scene and show where they
are. The rest of the shots will close up getting in the action showing every
second of it. It will also be a fast paced show keeping the audience
entertained.
Lighting – It will depend on the time of day mostly dark as their will be a lot of
controlled and stealth like actions. It may also depend on the area and scenery
around it. It may not always be at night that they are doing a mission,
therefore the lighting may be bright and have a warm feel to it.

4. Target Audience
The primary audience would appeal to those who are a fan of the video game, I think
that this will attract people to watch my show as there is a massive fan base of the game.
The majority of fans will be likely male of the age of 16 to 26 based from the game
because they are most likely interested in action packed films and games. The older
generation may not be able to spend money watching my show as they need to spend it
on bills and other items rather than a younger age group may be privileged who have
money from parents who have time to spend money on the product.
A secondary audience will be much older audience being 30+ and also male. This
audience will be focused on the storytelling and narrative more than the action. This age
should be working and have money to be able to watch the show, if they are interested
in the show they will pay to watch it. However being at this age you may be busy with
your life, for example: working, family and other hobbies they are interested in.

5. Opportunities & Constraints
The video game has never been adapted to anything else although there are books about
other games in the franchise. There are no visual adaptations of any of the games
although the game is rising in such popularity, this is why I think it is such an amazing idea
to create an adaptation of the game. The lack of in game character knowledge allows me
to go more in depth in the TV series. Hopefully people appreciate the narrative side of
the series. I may face legal issues from Ubisoft the creators of the game. They may
contact me about the adaptation but this will allow me to not face any copyright issues in
the future. Some people may also find the show disturbing as it will involve terrorism and
will be a focus in the show but letting people know before hand warning them from the
start may decrease the amount of people who may find it disturbing and unwatchable.
The opening to the series may include music so I will have to get permission from the
artist who made it. Some of the special effects I use for explosions and some scenery may
cost quite a bit because of the high quality of software however because it will excel it
should bring in money to pay back for this.
Overall the show will need a big budget because of the use of actors, booking venues
many of them being high end buildings and military bases which will cost a lot more than
regular places and software for special effects. I need to make sure I market the show
correctly in order to bring in a big audience as not everyone plays the game I need to
draw in people who are interested in the genre of the show. It may be hard to talk about
and go in depth about terrorist groups but once again, if its marketed correctly I should
bring in a large audience.
