A teenage boy encounters a strangely dressed man dancing alone on the sidewalk at 2am. As the boy tries to avoid the man and continue on his way, he realizes the man is following him. This leads to an intense chase between the boy and the smiling man that ends with a jump scare. The short film analyzes uses Todorov's narrative theory of equilibrium, disruption, recognition, and return to equilibrium. It aims to convey messages about not trusting strangers and not wandering alone at night through conventions of horror and thriller genres like an unusual time, the man's strange behavior, and an escalating chase filmed with changing shots focused on the boy's perspective.
