This document describes NetRacer, a multiplayer racing game for the Commodore 64. The game allows up to 8 players to race around a track in real-time over a network. A server coordinates the positions of players and updates clients 20 times per second. The client software, written in 6502 machine language, displays other players and controls the local racer. The developer aims to expand gameplay and eventually create a full MMORPG for the C64 platform.
