2. What Do Your Peers Think?
• During my time making the magazine I had
three different groups of people assisting me
and giving me feedback and thoughts on how
they thought the magazine was going and
how good they thought it looked.
• Four of my peers were pleased with the
outcome and one peer wasn’t as pleased with
the outcome due to their personal taste
3. Does It Look Like A Real Music Magazine?
• The cover, contents, and Double Page spread
all follow the same conventions that normal
music magazines of the same genre and
aiming towards the same audiences do
• However due to it being created by someone
less experienced than most magazine editors
and with less years of learning, so I don’t
expect it to exactly replicate a magazine on
store shelves, however mine does look close
and most of my peers agree
4. What Features Do They Like Or Dislike?
• Most of my peers said they liked the magazine
overall, one noted that they didn’t like the lack
of color all that much, however they
understood why others might like it.
• Other commenters said they were fans of the
color scheme and noticed the glitch effect that
I used.
• Some people said they thought the model
used in the images was fitting
5. Bands Featured
• I made up “Rouge Oddity” for my models
pseudo name
• Bands featured include; Korn, Skillet, Muse,
Panic! At The Disco, Three Days Grace,
Armchair Cynics, The Animal In Me, Imagine
Dragons, Black Veil Brides, The Killers, these
bands are primarily featured in the contents
pages and the cover page.
6. Use of Colors and Font
• I primarily use the same font on most areas of the
magazine, as it’s easy to read and doesn’t seem
too unappealing to the eye.
• Helvetica Neue is the main font I used throughout
the magazine, occasionally I change the colour
from black to white with a black outline in order
to create an effect.
• I also occasionally use Orator Std on the front
cover for a similar effect
• I mainly used whites and blacks in the magazine
in terms of color but I also used a nearly
transparent glitch effect
7. Main Image
• The main image I used was taken of my friend
who offered to be a model for the magazine
• I figured he looked fairly well suited for the
magazine as it’s a sort of goth/punk/rock
magazine, he looks fitting for this due to his
clothing and long hair.
• He also had his own guitar to provide that I
thought was fitting.
• I made the main cover black and white to fit in
with the style of the magazine I went for.
