•Font- mainly capital letters, the celebrity featuring their name is big and bold to stand out.
•House style- it’s more simple than any other magazine.
•Picture- there is only one main featured picture.
3. Kerrang magazine template
Masthead- all magazines have the same masthead stripped across the page.
Cover line- stands out from a distance which draws you in.
Main cover line- they are either black, white or yellow.
Banner- the banners at the bottom for an added extra, to give that emotive language to
persuade you to buy the magazine.
Pictures- a band member from a band is the main feature, lots of mini pictures of what the
magazine actually contains are on the front covers.
Colour scheme- the most common colours that occur are black, yellow and white but on some
magazines there is green and red parts.
Sell lines- these are consistent throughout every issue.
House style- all carefully laid out on every issue.
4. NME Magazine template
Masthead- the masthead is nearly in the same place is just depending
on the sell line.
Colour scheme- black, white and red for the writing and yellow mainly
for box outs to make text stand out.
Font- mainly capital letters as that’s what attracts the reader, big and
bold writing.
Pictures- the main feature is a close up shot of who the main story is
about.
Cover line- the quotes from articles that appear in the magazine.
