Trailer
The Descent is a horror movie it’s said to be “Bold and Brilliant”, and is also seen as
the best thriller since Alien. The descent trailer which can be seen using this link

this trailer can show you what is to come in the full movie, its gripping, freaky but
overall amazing even just the trailer is just as good as the film. In this trailer you will
see how they get to the caves location and the girls asking Juno if she knows where
they are going and if she is lost and she replies with “I never get lost”, but fails to tell
them that she isn’t using the map to get there and they will be exploring a
completely different cave. Also we when Sara has run and fallen into a pool of blood
where she finishes off a crawler by basically eating it or taking a bite out of it, in this
trailer they love coming back to this scene because of how affective it is on its viewer
and it adds in a heart beat throughout the movie to scream at the audience that
there isn’t something right here or to even
show the tension between the girls. But
however in this trailer it shows the girls being
animalistic when fighting the crawlers and
with just that one scene it makes you want to
find out how they became that way.
Poster
The movie poster for The Descent is a shot
of Sara in a pool of blood, with her mouth
still in the blood and she is completely
soaked in blood and, the most freaky part of
this poster is her acting very calm about it,
she isn’t screaming about being soaked in
blood and her face is suggesting like she is
in her element, in this cave fighting off and,
killing her friends and these crawlers that
are trying to kill them so they can eat the
girls, in the back ground of this poster on
the right side of Sara’s head is what looks to
be someone’s face that is probably face
looking up in the cave, and Sara isn’t
looking in that direction this could suggest
that this may be Juno because Sara stabs
her right through her calf because she finds
out about what Juno and her husband did behind her back.
2. Billboard
The Descents billboard is of a light
coming down on to Sara’s face as she
looks scared into the camera with
clear injury’s on her face, this gives
us the impression that she is scared
and that she is looking at us the
viewer for help and this will make
the viewer go to see this movie
because they may ant to see what
happens to Sara or to see what “ face
your deepest fear “ actually means
and to see how it affects the story,
also they will see what has been said
about the movie and will want to
watch it even more than they
already did.
Campaign changes
The descent have had to change their poster due to tragic accident that resulted
in a bus exploding with their poster on it because of respect to the people who
died, they did not have to change it but they chose to show their respect to the
people
