2. Carl Jung (1875-1961)
A Journey Into The Mind Of…
Carl Jung was born in Kesswill Switzerland
(1875).
As a child he was interested in history,
archaeology, and philosophy.
He studied medicine at the University of
Basel and discovered he had a passion for
psychiatry. He became a psychiatrist as it
gave him the opportunity to study both the
spiritual and factual sides of the world.
For 9 years he was an assistant physician at
a Psychiatric Hospital
He studied Schizophrenia extensively

3. Jung was the detailing of the stages of
inner development and of the growth of
the personality, which he termed the
"process of individuation." He described
a strong impulse from the unconscious to
guide the individual toward its most
complete uniqueness. This achievement
is a lifelong task of trial and error and
identifying and uniting contents of the
unconscious. It consists in an ever-
increasing self-knowledge and in
"becoming what you are."
