His tomb had treasures of all sorts!! It

45. Fact #4 How did King Tut die?
King Tutʼs cause of death is natural causes, nothing like
being murdered. The cause of his death is that he died of
gangrene, which was caused by a broken leg. It was
nothing life-threatening when he was wounded, but because
it left an open wound, it could have been dangerously
infected. Since King Tut liked to hunt, it couldʼve happened
when he was hunting. Another cause with the broken leg is
that he had malaria. Before this info, King Tut was believed
to have been killed by a blow to the back of the head. But
because of recent medical imaging, we know that is not
true. The hole at the head is thought to be made from the
embalming process.

A system of government that directs and controls some actions
of the members of the society.
King Tut was part of a system of government because he was king. He had a vizier
named Ay who helped him rule Egypt. He is believed to be related to Akhenaten in
some way which means he was born in a royal line. He restored Egypt’s old religion
which means he took control of the religion in Egypt too.
A religious system, which might include priests and temples.
King Tut restored Egypt’s original religion, which was worshipping Amun and other
gods. Before that, Akhenaten declared that all of Egypt must worship Aten. Of-
course, the people of Egypt denied and among those people were powerful priests.
King Tut’s original name was a name worshipping Aten, but he changed it to

60. King Tut and today?
Being King is kind of like being president. They both lead their country.
Both need to prevent wars and keep the citizens in order. They also
manage trade with other countries and make sure the country grows
enough food for the people.
Apart from that, I don’t think King Tut really relates to the society...
61. So...King Tut...
Is important to history because...(what I
think)
1. Historians learned more about the Egyptians because of the things in
his tomb.
2. Historians learned more about the royal line he was born in.
3. Because of scanning the mummy of King Tut, they could learn a little bit
more about the embalming process that took place after a pharaoh
died.
But really, he is only famous because
of his tomb...
