5. Tutankhamen was born around 1341 B.C.E. His
name means “living image of Aten.” King
Tutankhamen—or King Tut as he is more
commonly known today after his death he was
mummified, according to tradition, and buried in
a tomb filled with artwork, jewelry, and treasures.
He was relatively unknown to the world until 1922,
when his tomb was discovered by Howard Carter.
His tomb contained thousands of artifacts,
a sarcophagus containing his mummy, and a now-
famous headdress. It took Carter and his team
almost ten years to catalog the contents of
the tomb. Since the tomb's discovery, King Tut has
become the world's most well-known
Egyptian pharaoh, fascinating generations of

X-rayed he found his breast bone and
front ribs were missing.

Tut’s mummy. Howard Cater was a British
Archeologist who discovered king Tut’s
mummy in 1922 after years of futile
searching. The mummy was covered with
richest royal collection of the pharaohs
legend along with gold's and lavished with
precious collars, inlaid necklaces and
bracelets, rings, amulets, etc all made up

thieves he decided to take off the mummy
from the coffin. But he was unable to do so
beacause the mummy was stuck to the coffin
with resins which cemented king Tut to thr
bottom of his gold coffin. He try to loosen
thr resins as he set the mummy outside in
blazing sunshine that heated it to 149degree
fahrenhiet but nothing happened. With no
way left, he cut the mummy to free from his
coffin.
