Mental Attitude: See a Doctor if You Suspect You Have a Head Injury! After calling 2,701 random Colorado residents,
researchers found that nearly 40% of those polled had experienced a traumatic brain injury in their lifetime. Perhaps their most
important finding is that those who failed to seek care following their head injury were twice as likely to report present day activity
limitations when compared with those who did. These types of injuries most commonly occur when the head is struck during a fall,
motor vehicle collision, a sports-related collision, or during a physical assault.

Health Alert: Sleeping Disorders Associated with Increased Heart Attack and Stroke Risk! If you have sleep difficulties, taking
steps now to improve your sleep may reduce your risk for future cardiovascular events such as a heart attack or stroke. A 14-year
study that followed 657 men found that those with sleeping disorders were 2-2.6 times more likely to have a heart attack and 1.5-4

Diet: Mediterranean Diet May Reduce Endometrial Cancer Risk. Adhering closely to the Mediterranean diet can cut a woman's
risk of endometrial cancer by up to 57%. The Mediterranean diet consists of a healthy intake of fruits, vegetables, whole grains,
legumes, nuts, and olive oil, while limiting red meat and dairy consumption. This combination of foods is rich in antioxidants, fibers,
phytochemicals, and unsaturated fatty acids. Lead author Dr. Christina Bosetti writes, "Our research shows the impact a healthy
balanced diet could have on a woman's risk of developing womb cancer. This adds more weight to our understanding of how our

Exercise: Wearable Performance Enhancing Sensor Coming Soon? Scientists at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow,
Scotland have developed a wearable device that can provide real-time analysis of fluid loss during exercise. This small transdermal
sensor attaches to the body and analyzes the electrolytes present in sweat. It then sends this information to a smartphone to alert a user
to rehydrate in order to maintain optimum performance. This is important as water regulates body temperature, lubricates joints, and
plays an important role in the transport of both nutrients and waste in the body. Insufficient hydration can lead to fatigue, muscle

Chiropractic: Seizures & Developmental Delay Respond to Chiropractic Adjustments. Recently, a two-year-old male with
seizures, behavioral issues, and cognitive developmental delay following a head trauma presented for a trial of chiropractic treatment.
A thorough examination revealed a spinal joint fixation in the boy's upper cervical spine. The child received a series of three
adjustments performed over a period of five and a half months to correct the fixation, and over the course of treatment, his parents
noted both a cessation of seizure activity and an improvement in his behavior and cognitive development. This case study suggests
that chiropractic care may benefit patients with a similar history and symptoms.
