False Christian Teaching
Many people can teach the Gospel, but few can present it in a way of compelling and authentic manner. Through his teachings to the Ephesians, Ignatius
provides beneficial concepts for Christianity that are crucial for the Church to pursue. He commends the Ephesians to live in unity and communion with
God, respect the authority placed over them, and stray from false teachings. His thought–provoking ideas are absent from believers today and should be
more vividly displayed in the lives of Christians.
"For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form
one body, and each member belongs to all the others" (New International Version, Romans 12:4–5). Christians ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Ignatius praised the Ephesians for staying strong in their faith when false teachers came to cripple their beliefs. "Beware of false prophets, who come
to you in sheep's clothing, but inward they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits" (New International Version, Matthew 7:15). It is
difficult when a convincing person attempts to change your hopes and beliefs because they can be so sly and can twist thoughts. However, sticking to
what is true, holy, and pleasing to God is the only way to dodge the destruction of the Christian mind. False prophets and teachers have no place in the
lives' of Christians and should not be able to sway strong beliefs and claims. The Church today is victim to fictitious instruction and must remain
faithful to what they know is true in God the Father.
Ignatius' teachings to the Ephesians will ultimately benefit the Church if they are lived out everyday. He instructed them to live as one in Christ Jesus, to
respect the authority over them, and to stray from false prophets who seek to corrupt their minds. If Christians today began to pursue these ideas, the
world as a whole would benefit greatly because Christ would shine so brightly in and through them. Ignatius' teachings not only left an impact on the
Ephesians, but continue to impact the Church as they are applied to Christians' everyday

My Teaching : Teaching, And More Effective Collaboration...
Change is a part of life and I view myself as a life–long learner. I have frequently been called on to change. Once again new ideas are presented on
being an effective teacher and I will discuss how my teaching will change as a result of this course. There are five areas of interest that I found will
elevate my teaching skills. I will briefly describe them as structure, groupings, instructional strategies, the concept of linking assessment with teaching,
and more effective collaboration with my peers. The concept of differentiated learning is appealing to me and while going through my internship, I
experienced a differentiated kindergarten class. Children worked in different groupings at the same time as the teacher worked with small groups or
individuals. The students were given and taught how to be responsible for their own learning at this young age. They worked on problem–solving skills
and were guided to think critically about themselves and what was happening around them. It was delightful to be helping in this classroom. This
experience coupled with this course, EDU 570, has given me much information to ponder with respect to how a differentiated music class would look
like. I can see a performance based class, such as a grade three general music classroom, look like this: Some students would work on rhythmic games
to develop basic rhythm reading, while others would already be composing with more complicated rhythms, and in addition, other individuals would be

Christian Teachings On The Righteousness Of God
There is a lot that could be said about the righteousness of God. Simply put, righteousness is the life of God. It is a pure or undefiled state of
existence. Everything about God is righteousness, and everyone who has been born of God through the cross of Calvary has been given this nature of
God. This is the nature of life and purity. God is a spirit and when He birthed us, He recreated us in spirit so that we may once again be like Him.
When we were born again in the spirit, the Lord gave us His pure nature that is against anything that is filthy. Sin is the dirtiest thing in the sight of
God. Anyone who is born again has been born again in the righteousness of God. Those who believe in Jesus are born into a new spiritual kingdom of
righteousness. God is righteous and his kingdom is the kingdom of righteousness. The number one enemy of the kingdom of righteousness is sin.
Those who are born again are born against sin. Everything about our new kingdom is against sinfulness, and we ought to walk in the testimony of our
salvation. We were born again because the power of sin... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To live in faith is to live in the spirit. When you live in the spirit, you are no longer controlled by the world. Anyone who lives in the spirit does not
care about what the world is doing or saying, he is mindful of what God says. He has separated himself from the poisonous influence of the world.
Faith is a spiritual power or ability that connects those who love the righteousness of God to the spiritual realm of existence. It makes it possible for us
to comprehend and touch the spiritual things. Through faith, we understand that the Spiritual is more real than the physical. It is only through faith
that we could understand the mysteries of God's existence. Furthermore, it is through faith that we understand that the spiritual powers have created the
physical entities, and due to that, what is physical must be subordinate to the

Essay about Christian Teachings on Wealth and Poverty
Christianity teaches us that wealth is not what you need to enter heaven. To enter heaven you must be caring and share your riches with the poor and
needy. As a result of Jesus' teachings, the early churches shared all they had to make sure no one was in need. Jesus taught us that the pursuing of
wealth could lead you into temptations. He said that we will be judged not on the size of our bank balance, but on how we have helped those who are
less fortunate. A well–known Christian teaching goes as follows: "It is harder for a rich man to go to heaven than it is for a camel to go through the
eye of a needle". This means it is impossible for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This quote is telling us that being rich, having power or fame, or having any human achievements is not true happiness. True happiness comes from
helping your fellow man. Therefore the Catholic Churches view is clear that they think being self–centred and narrow minded is the wrong way to go
about life. Catholics believe that you be able to realise the suffering of the other people around you and help those people. To summarise,
Christianity teaches us that we must share our riches with the poor and needy if we want to go to heaven. Greed and selfishness is unchristian.
Christians today still follow Jesus' teachings by doing the following things: В· Giving clothes to charity shops such as Oxfam. В· Donating money
to charity. В· Doing voluntary work to collect donations to charity. В· Islamic teachings on wealth and povertyFunded races and other activities.
The Islamic religion teaches its followers to base their lives around the five pillars. One of these pillars is called Zakah, Zakah is meant to purify the
money you leave so it cannot harm you in the future. Muslims have very strict rules, one of which is not to gamble. The reason being is because it is
a sinful temptation and is against what the Islamic Religion teaches. Muslims are also encouraged to help the poor by refusing to charge interest on
loans and by changing

The Role of Children's Books in Education Essay
From the time a child is born, the task of the parents and society is to educate that child. If a child has no learning they will not survive. Parents are
responsible for give a child the learning that they need. Since no one parent or person can correctly show children all things and since children need

From parent seminars, to books and movies, to even games consoles, children are not only being taught the basic concepts of the world, shapes, colors,

Most children's material used Bible stories and life lessons to give children the lessons of life. Books like Aesop's Fables2 and Children's Stories of
the Bible3 children are taught things such as perserverance, hard work, patience, and obedience. Aesop's Fables teach children important lessons
about how to live their lives. The stories vary from The Hare and the Tortoise, to Briar Rabbit, and The Ant and the Grasshopper. each of these
stories are presented to children to teach them the lesson of perserverance by seeing how the tortoise never gave up and because of the haughtiness
and pride of the hare, the tortoise won the race. The child that hears or reads this story may not realize that they are being taught lessons, but they
will still begin to learn that pride and haughty attitudes will cause them to lose things that are important, while perseverance will lead to gain.

Islamic And Christian Scripture : Teaching Of Religious...
Forgiveness is well established around the interpreted teaching of religious figures like Jesus, to be essentially concerned with desire to serve others
through action, mind and spirit. Religious sacred texts have continually formed interesting perceptions throughout history, spurring on the interpretation
of new meanings of the traditional concept of forgiveness through the application of contextual information, first historical, and more recently in the
form of literary discourse. Both Islamic and Christian scripture have introduced a diversified outlook on the importance of forgiving or being forgiven.

The word forgiveness has several meanings and has the potential to ultimately cleanse someone's life of past remorse. According to John O. Reid,
"forgiveness is one of the chief characteristics we must have if we are to become literal children of God in His Kingdom" (Reid, 2015). This
understanding of forgiveness is seen through God's Divine teaching and authority in John 14:2; therefore, this interpretation is that forgiveness comes
from merciful will and pardon of mistakes. Furthermore, a prominent Gospel analyst from Forerunner Commentary, construes the power of forgiveness
through "one of the keys that Jesus taught for healing" (Forerunner Commentary, 2015). This articulates forgiveness of sin as an ultimate custom of
healing such as in Matthew 6:12, "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors," and "forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned
against us" (Luke 11:4).The essence of forgiveness in Christianity is a diversified matter, however; it is the ongoing implementation of forgiveness
into the midst of our lives is what makes a faithful follower. "Jesus taught that forgiveness is central to the relationship between God and humans, and
between humans" (Rsrevision, 2015). This instils that to receive forgiveness from God you must be a living embodiment of a remissive follower.
Hence, a slighter significance is imparted on a divine pardon, the true meaning of

Christian Teachings Concerning Racism
Racism can be defined by the formula prejudice + power = racism. Racism is when racial prejudice is turned into action that harms others. Racism is
the belief that one race of people is superior to another because of their colour or race. Racism is simply based on the colour of a person's skin. Racism
is destructive and it disembowels people by shattering their identity. It destroys community cohesion and creates divisions in society. It is the opposite
of the democratic principle of equality and the right of all people to be treated fairly. Racism is an enormous problem in society today; it is causing much
conflict in many parts of the world.

It is estimated that there are 140,0002 racist attacks in Britain every year purely due to the colour of someone's skin. Many of these attacks were
not reported to the police. The reported racist attacks rose 107%3 in 2000. Beatings, firebombing, and excrement pushed through letterboxes, are just
some of the actions that having a different colour of skin can lead to. Government figures and statistics show that people from ethinic minorities are
more likely to have a worse experience in the criminal justice system and that 43% 1 of the people that the government surveyed felt that there was
more racism now than five years ago. The statistics also showed that black people were eight times, and Asians three times more likely to be stopped
and searched than white people in 2001/02. The Church of England Board for social responsibility also said in relation to this
" Young people from ethinic minorities fear the police. They do not respect them. Their fear springs from experience; they are often stopped in the
streets questioned and searched; many are racially abused; some are beaten in police custody."
The figures also show that black people were four times more likely to be arrested than white people or any other minority ethnic group. There have
even been brutal murders. In 2001, Shiblu Rahman,

with student–centered education a variety of teaching methods are used (Blumberg, 2008). People all learn in different ways and at different levels and
using just one standard teaching method does not always work for everyone. Learner–centered education is beneficial to both the teacher and the
student in that it provides the perfect environment for hands on learning. It allows for the instructor to tie the material to real work examples and
situations while allowing the learner to relate the learning to their own experiences.

I Have Learned Through Teaching
One of the many things that I have learned through teaching young people is that time goes by a lot faster. In reflecting from my field teaching
lessons, I realized that there were many things that I was pleased with, but I also realized that there were many things I know I need to work on.
Watching a video of you teach a class is the absolute best way to self–evaluate yourself. We are most critical of ourselves when we can see our work
played back to us. This experience has not only been helpful in my teaching methods, but it has helped me to establish a more professional and
authoritative essence in the classroom. Before students had even seen the writing assignment, students picked up a half sheet of paper when they

When I began the lesson plan on verbals I had students write freely about a significant incident in their lives in which you were taught a meaningful
lesson. Students had complete freedom to write on a topic that had happened to them, or someone they knew. When students are given the opportunity
to write about their lives, that is when we empower students with their own words. The students were able to choose what incident they wanted to write
about from their lived experiences. After my minilesson on verbals I wanted students to incorporate these into their own writing to add action and
precise details about their significant incident. During this lesson plan I wanted to keep in mind the one ELL student at field placement. I had gotten to
know her very well through interviewing her, and knew from previous conversations that she really struggled to understand grammar. When students
were working individually on their writing assignment, I made sure to visit this one student in particular to be sure that she understood the concept
fully. This student works very hard, and I know she is doing twice the amount of work as every other student due to the language barrier. Through
giving this student extra time to process the new information I was able to then check for understanding when students were working independently.

I Designed My Lesson Plan
a.) I designed my lesson plan to be used in first and second grade. This lesson plan was designed to be a cross curriculum lesson about spiders that
incorporates the following subject areas: Science, Language Arts, and Visual/Performance Arts. This lesson will be taught during the month of October
after students have gained prior knowledge through an insect unit that was taught the month before.
(b.) The content object that I used in this lesson was for students to be able to identify important information about spiders. I think that providing
students with background knowledge prior (teaching a month long unit on insects) would assist students when it comes time to do a unit on spiders. I
think that the most challenging aspect for this lesson would be the vocabulary words. The vocabulary list that I have complied varies in difficulty and
I believe that some of the words would be more challenging to some of the students. I would ensure that these words were taught previously in the
insect unit in order for students to become familiar with these words. I would also have prior knowledge of my student's abilities and provide
individualized word lists that match the student's ability. In addition, I would stock the student library with a variety of books about spiders that
contain the vocabulary words, and utilize various center activities to reinforce the lesson objectives for this unit. The content object that I created is

Teachings of the Bible and the Christian Church About Human Responsibility for the World
The Bible contains many teachings about our human responsibility towards the created world. It talks about the start of creation in Genesis. Here it
is made clear that human beings are made in the image of God so that they can continue his good work. At the outset they are given power over the
rest of creation and now if all humans work together to make the world a better place they will be more powerful so it will happen, but even if just a
few people are not willing to help then all will fall apart (see poster).
The other implication here is that the power comes with responsibility. The role of human beings... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately, the people most affected are those who are poorer. The greed and pollution of people in the Northern Hemisphere is having a serious
impact on global warming and the worst effects f this are experienced not by us in the Northern Hemisphere but by those in the Southern Hemisphere.
These people, already living in great poverty, then suffer even greater problems in terms of severe droughts, famines, flooding etc., which leaves them
even poorer. The Bible makes it quite clear that in terms of looking after the world, we have a duty not only to look after the environment but also to
look after our fellow human beings. Hence the most important teaching, "Love thy neighbour as yourself". Jesus made it quite clear in the story he told
about the Good Samaritan that our neighbour is anyone and everyone who is in need, even our enemy, irrespective of their race/colour/religion.
Another important teaching, called one body many parts, makes it clear that human beings physically make up the body of God here on Earth. We
are therefore his hands; his feet etc and therefore we should do what he would do himself if he were physically present. What we should do is look
after our neighbour. Furthermore, if just some of us, (one tiny bit of the body) does not do what it is supposed to do then everyone else will be
weakened. We must work together in

Graduation Speech On Teaching And Learning And Interactive...
I enrolled in the Certificate in the University Teaching (CUT) program in spring 2014 right after completing the FUT program in winter 2014. Through
the GS901 workshops, I learned about students' traits and attitudes toward learning and interactive teaching through active learning. With regards to
course design, I learned the importance of having an organized, yet flexible, course plan that is designed in equilibrium with course objectives and
assessments. Teaching observation practicum, provided me with an opportunity to assess my teaching from the perspective of an experienced educator.
Below, I will discuss the elements and strategies that I have experimented with based on the comments and suggestions I received.
COLLECTIVE LEARNING:
One of the key elements in teaching undergraduate classes is to create a learning environment that cultivates critical thinking and mastery of concepts.
As an instructor, I have experienced with various active learning methods to keep my students engaged and motivated. Within the pedagogy toolbox, I
found the element of discovery to be the most effective way of teaching. In my classes, before even explaining a new concept, I usually pose a
question to class and ask my students to find a solution. I ask my students to work in pairs (and sometimes groups) to come up with a solution without
them knowing the new concepts. The idea is to assist them to discover the new concepts by thinking out of the box and trying different approaches.

Planning Commentary
My college students were between the ages of 20 and 25. The class had prior knowledge of what occurs in a Health & Physical Education classroom
and some had even played a sport before. Moreover, my students had a high maturity level and knew to wear appropriate athletic wear. The
prerequisites for this class was balance, coordination, leg strength, physical abilities, and developmental readiness. They were learning to play a variety
of sports such as pickle ball, soccer, volleyball, and shot put.
My students' everyday experiences consisted of some form of physical activity being that they were majoring in Health & Physical Education. All of my
students were born in America and spoke English. Majority were either Christians or Catholics, however, religious was never discussed in the
classroom setting. Likewise, majority if not all had a love for the games of football, basketball and badminton. The sports football and basketball is a
part of their culture based on their geographical location.
In order to plan my lessons, I used resources like PE Central, Openphysed.org, Teaching Physical Education for Learning, and YouTube. I identified
my planning needs by using a lesson plan template. If I were to plan a curricular unit, it would be essential for the students to either have an interest
or prior knowledge of the sport. The central focus would be being physically active while learning and improving on the skills. Notably, in my

Elementary Social Studies Methods Tina C. Denning
Final ELED 424 – Elementary Social Studies MethodsTina C. Denning
At the beginning of this term the beliefs statements were as follows:
1) Social Studies is a social relationship in a number of studies (history, geography, etc.). Noting a past of memorization of dates and names, and no
relevance therefore, nothing was memorable or had any importance.
2) How I want to teach social studies? Taking information and making it fun so students can remember it longer and using groups not limiting ourselves
to textbooks.
3) Dates are important and dates are not important. History has importance but not every date and in an age of instant information knowing how to find
the needed information and correct information is vital.
4) Find Relevance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These 4 beliefs are more important now because of the short amount of time that was spent in a 4th grade classroom. Combining the two sets of beliefs
will be shown in a new social studies belief statement.
1) Meaningful & Relevance: In practicum the lesson was citizenship and the three branches of government. To make this meaningful to the students
and then relevant was impressive. Mrs. Anderson asked the core of the lesson plan on the first three days to give the basics. This was relatively easy
and the students made it easier by doing their "jobs" and learning. On day four, Mrs. Anderson walked the students through the process of how a bill
becomes a law. She divided the students into the House of Representatives, Congress, and a President. She provided "bills" that lobbyist wanted to be
a law. She guided them through a bill becoming a law and a vetoed bill. The students were 100% actively engaged and enjoying the lesson. She knew
the students and how to divide them up and how to both engage them, keep them engaged and still teach a meaningful/relevant lesson.
This is the top of the belief list because it is something that is also not limited to just social studies. Attempts were made to include this in practicum but
it is something that will take some time. The engagement part may be easy but maintaining the energy takes more than just showing up with an activity
but making it meaningful for the

Intercultural relationships remain an enduring and a fundamental necessity within the lives of young people. The group comprising of Alven, Antanita

promote the positive perceptions that the children had already gained through the appreciation of cultural diversity. The aim was for students to

However, this class was linked to year eleven, comprising of 16 and 17 year olds. This gave rise to considerable discussion, as the group believed
that the ideal time to learn values is more appropriate during adolescence, such as years seven or eight. After a considerable reflection it was deduced
that to a degree it is true that in partying knowledge and values upon younger students is both more effective and easier, as at this age they are more
impressionable and accepting of new ideals. However, learning is not a an end product and the intent of the lesson was more about nurturing the ideas
that the students have already subconsciously gained, whilst aiming to foster and enhance these values, in order for them to emerge consciously
enriched. The teachings of Sankey and Kim (2013) under the umbrella of the Dynamic System Theory greatly influenced these decisions, were they
stress a non linear and highly variable process of development, and thus, signifying an older age group does not quantify the need to disenfranchise
themselves from moral development.
The makeup of the lesson was divided into two interrelated activities that were designed towards the developmental needs of the students as well as the
importance of multicultural relations. The activities also did not shun away from their own significant pedagogical issues, specifically deducing ways
in which to achieve an

Context for Usage: The grade levels this text is designed to prepare educators for teaching is evidenced first in its overall discussion of properly
preparing students to be able to write on demand for state assessment tests. Given that such tests do not regularly take place until students are out of
elementary education it is apparent that this text is directed towards teachers working with a higher age bracket. This is also further revealed in
instances where teachers are directed to help students think backwards, a skill that is not highly promoted in elementary education as most children
at this age level have not yet developed the capacity to think backwards. The process described for enabling students to analyze prompts is also one
that would be dominantly used beyond the beginning years of education. Considering each of these factors, the aim of this text is to be utilized by
teachers working with a middle school to high school age bracket.
Learning Objectives: Learning objectives promoted in the college level class on teaching writing that this text was handed out in, strongly emphasize
the importance of group work, as revealed in the writing theory handout and the scholarly overview handout (see attached).

aiding someone to die, instead of letting nature take its course. There are four main types of euthanasia these are: Voluntary, Involuntary, Active and
Passive.
Euthanasia is currently illegal in the UK, but is legal in the Netherlands and the state of Oregon however; it is still a widely discussed topic, which
raises many moral questions. In this essay I will be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also the Roman Catholic Church opposes euthanasia because of the strongly taught commandment: "Thou shall not kill." To add to that: the Roman
Catholic Church regards the sanctity of life as an extremely important teaching and places the highest value on human life and suffering and pain do not
stop life being valuable and is not a reason for ending life, therefore the Church believes that people should leave the dying process to God, not to
humans who by allowing euthanasia are, for Roman Catholics, devaluing human life and making it seem disposable. Instead people should die with
dignity and let them be loved unconditionally by God until the end of earthly life. Therefore Roman Catholics oppose euthanasia, this is an absolute
view.
The Church of England's report in 1975 on "dying well" and the Methodist Church's statement in 1974 both oppose euthanasia. They emphasise the fact
that human life is sacred.
However Christian views today vary with most Christians not accepting euthanasia.
A Christian teaching that can be used for euthanasia is the sanctity of life. Christians believe that all life is given as a gift from God:
" God made man in his own image, male and female he created them." Gen
Therefore because God gave life, it is a gift and it is valuable because humans are made in God's image:
"God made man in his own image." Gen.
Because God created humans

Christian Life And The Teachings Of The Bible
I have been participating in the Korean language class on Monday and Wednesday from August 10 to now. Last Sunday, I participated in the 1st
annual golden harvest 5k marathon. First, I'd like to discuss the spiritual concepts/values from text that relate to personal beliefs. I am a Christian
since birth. So all I'd like to talk about is Christian life and the teachings of the bible. Throughout my whole life, I have learned about spiritual things
and what kind of spiritual things are in my ego. The spiritual values that I always have is love, hope, and trust. Love is an element that Christians value
and have in their Christian mind and the bible says to love each other. I am doing my best to understand this word throughout my whole life and it is
the reason why I chose my major Nursing. The dictionary meaning of love is an intense feeling of deep affection or feel a deep romantic or sexual
attachment to someone. The bible states that Christian love is selfless and a giving love. I realized something when I went to Africa for doing some
volunteer work. I felt what it meant to be selfless and what it was to give love through volunteering and now I keep this in mind through my life too.
The second value is hope. All of religion is based on hope, just like forgiveness, and going to heaven and waiting for God to give them something that
they want. But in the bible it says, "set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ"(Peter

Children 's Development And Their Learning
There are various areas within the teaching role that are important in order to aid children through their development. There are three key principles;
Planning, Teaching and Assessment (Education Scotland, 2011).
Throughout this essay I will focus on how these principles affiliate children's development and their learning. Two English Lessons completed during
the introductory placement will underpin this evaluation.
Planning
At the core of any planning lies the National Curriculum. Before Planning can even begin a teacher must know what the children need to learn. When
the teacher gave me my topic's I went straight to the National Curriculum. It is also important in order to plan for progression to know what they have
previously covered so I arranged a meeting with the class teacher. Once all this information had been established I collated my planning.
Denby, (2012) claims starting a lesson with what children already know lends itself to the importance of planning. He believes lessons must be planned
to accommodate progression. It is important that teachers feel confident about what their pupils know or can do. Once this has been determined their
next challenge is to plan lessons that allow children to collectively move forward.
There are three key areas of planning that are covered within schools, Long–term planning, Mid–term planning and Short–term planning (Lesson
planning).
The school initially sets out an overall curriculum framework that fits in the schools aims,

Christian Teachings on Warfare Essay
Christian Teachings on Warfare For a war to be right in Christian teachings or for a war not to be wrong in Christian teachings it must follow the
just war theory. This would be the first and main subject I would include in the booklet. The just war theory states that 'for a war to be called a just war
it must' · Be declared by a proper authority. · There must be a just cause for the war · The war must be of good intention (i.e. to do good or
to over come an overpowering evil) · The war must be a last resort (i.e. every non–violent way of solving the war must have been tried first) ·
The good the war will do must outweigh the harm · The war must be possible to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are many references in the bible that have a certain, war related meaning, or at least you can relate them to war. The reference 'thou shalt not
kill' (exodus 20) says that obviously 'you should not kill'. There is rarely a war where anyone is not killed, so again you could say that wars in
which people are killed are wrong. According to this, it would be near impossible for nuclear war to be right, as you would find it near impossible
to use nuclear weapons without killing anyone! It is known that the blast from the Hiroshima bomb spread radiation for 36miles around, and today,
the power of one bomb has increased 750,000 fold from that of the Hiroshima bomb. The results from the use of such a lethal weapon are horrifying.
The loss of life would be unimaginable. 'Thou shalt not kill', well… my point is obvious. 'Do unto others as you would want done to you'.
Another bible reference (from the book of Matthew in the New Testament) maybe not directly referring to war but it can be related to a war situation.
Do not do anything that you would not want doing to yourself, take for example killing. Would you want to be killed… the chances are that you
don't, so don't kill if you don't want to be killed. This could be slightly turned around, as in a war situation you may kill people, but those people you
may kill would most likely have killed

Teaching of Discipleship on a Christian of Today.
AO2: Explain how this teaching about discipleship might affect the life of a Christian today.
Christian discipleship involves faith and commitment to God, self sacrifice, service to others, using your time, money and energy, as God wants you to
not as the world tempts you to. It also involves belonging to God's own family, the church, and daily commitments with God. Modern day disciples like
Ghandi, (even though he was non–Christian) acted as true modern day disciple with his total commitment, self–sacrifice and energy he put into leading
India to independence by inspiring movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. We can see that they acted... Show more content on

And example of this would be my 'Granda' who risked his life to save a mother and child from a house that was burning to the ground, an almost
certain death situation. He put his needs before his own and renounced–self.
To take up cross is probably one of the most challenging commands of Jesus. Mark was writing his gospel at a time when many Christians were dying
for their belief in Jesus. Crucifixion was a real possibility. There have been times since then, even to the present day, when Christians have been
persecuted for their beliefs like Nelson Mandela, who believed in the rights of different races, whatever their colour and was imprisoned for 27 years
in which he only saw his wife three times.
To follow him means accepting the Christian way of life and treading in the footsteps of Jesus, following his examples as closely as possible.
Obedience to the will of God and putting others first may lead to suffering as it did for Jesus. However, the invitation to "Follow me" also holds the
promise of sharing in Christ's resurrected life.
I believe that modern day influences can cast a certain cloud over Christianity. Yet there are still those people who fight back to the discrimination and
racial prejudice in our societies. Those are the true disciples of Jesus Christ. He who hears the message should carry out the message. People should
stop thinking about what they take out of the world, but instead what they put back into

To what extend did Christian teachings affect the creation of human rights
Human rights are basic to humanity. They are supposed apply to all people everywhere. Though in our modern society, we acknowledge the
importance of human rights, it took a long time for mankind to set down the human rights that we all deserve and to reach to where we are now. In
this essay, the focus will be on how much Christian teachings and traditions influenced the creation of human rights. It's possible to see the influence
based on different written laws made toward creation of equal rights. Such as, the US's "Declaration of Independence", the French "Declaration of the
Rights of Man" or the UN's Declaration of the Human Rights. Christianity's biblical notions support many of the articles found in those declarations.

The bible says that man is created according to the image of God, thus, the murder of another man is of the highest offense. "Whoever sheds the
blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for in the image of God, has God made man". The Mosaic Law also continues to give a lot of examples
on how God expects us to treat each other humanely. Ten Commandments also forbids murder, stealing, adultery, lying and crave certain things. These
rules help us treat each other morally and equally. Other examples would be to treat immigrants well (Exodus 22:21; Leviticus 19:33–34), help the
poor with their needs (Leviticus 19:10; Deuteronomy 15:7–8), specifically give loans to the poor with no interests (Exodus 22:25) and to allow

Christian Teachings on Poverty and Wealth Essay
Christian Teachings on Poverty and Wealth
Ever since the beginning of the Christian faith, poverty and wealth have been a big issue. Before Jesus was born, the rich would use religion to keep
the poor away from them. The wealthy thought their riches were a blessing from God and that their faith and dedication was a reason for God
bestowing them with wealth. They believed that the poor were not true followers of God and therefore suffered with poverty. They thought that the
poor were not as important in the eyes of God. However, Jesus himself was born in a poor family and he was born in a stable where the animals were
kept. "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This was what Jesus was particularly against and believed that this was what would prevent a select few from reaching heaven. "Blessed are you who
are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God." "But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort." Luke 6: 20 and Luke 6:24. He
believed that, "You cannot serve both God and money." Luke 16:13. All men and women were equal in God's eyes regardless of status and wealth:
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:26.
In the Bible, Saint James said that the most important people in heaven were the outcasts of society making them one of the most loved people of
God: "Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love
him?" James 2:5. In 1Timothy 6:10, Saint Paul said that "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." Through this quote, Saint Paul
emphasizes that monetary problems lead to most wrong doings such as stealing, corruption and gambling. Saint Paul did not condemn money or
wealth and neither did Jesus but said that the love of money was wrong and this is what kept a rich man from entering heaven. He also said that,
"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."

Corner Stone: Christian Teachings
God set up an order and rules in the Church in order for all Christians to live their Christian life steadfastly. Also, God gave each one his or her duty
and position and poured down grace to fulfill them. Teachers are those who appointed by God to teach the words of God. (Ephesians 4:11–12) In the
verse, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers are all in position to teach others. Being tied together with pastors, teachers do have a
crucial role. because of that, teachers have lots of responsibility. It is not teacher's purpose to simly teach students, but help them to grow in God. Of
course all teachers are fully aware of one's duty as a teacher, but it is difficult to carry it out. That's why teachers suffer. > Salvation... Show more

And we are the fellow workers, companions of God. >Conclusion "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive
a stricter jugment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body"
(James 3: 1–2) This does not mean that teachers get judged alot so do not become a teacher. The verse is actually indicating that do not be a teacher
who only serves with mouth without action. We all have many mistakes in speaking. 'If anyone does not stumble in word' means that taking an
action complies with spoken words. If a preacher only speaks without showing any action, no listener will be moved or receive an inspiration. This
is very true to teachers too. Teachers need to act as they speak. Of course, we have a flesh and cannot be perfect, but we need to strive to be like
that. Only then our students will learn from teachers and become a worker of God. It is indeed a huge responsibility but do not be burndensome
because it is a holy burden. When a teacher is timid and discouraged, then the power of words also decrease. A teacher must be serious and bold to

Abstract
For a country to be technologically developed there is need for efficient handling of mathematics at levels of education. The perennial low performance
of pupils in mathematics has been attributed among other things to inadequate knowledge of subject matter content by teachers and poor instructional
techniques. This paper highlighted the basic principles for effective teaching and learning of mathematics in primary school which is a fundamental
stage of child education. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The teacher may acquire mastery of the contents but lack skills in the appropriate methods. This may affect the students understanding of the subjects.
There are many approaches to teaching of mathematics. These include: * Problem solving * Discovery Approach * Expository * Laboratory *
Questioning skills * Individualization group work * Demonstration, etc. (Johnson & Rising, 1972)
All these methods are good but no teaching method could be regarded as superior to the other. In application, combination of these methods will be
desirable. It all depends on the content, objectives and the nature of the learners.
BASIC PRINCIPLES OF EFFECTIVE TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS 1. Basic stages of teaching and learning
Fakuade (1981) identifed three significant stages of learning topics in mathematics. These are: * Concrete materials and demonstration of real life
situation stage * Semi–concrete or pictorial studies stage * Abstraction stage Pupils in the primary schools have the age ranges between 5 and 12. This
is the age period that coincides approximately with the Piaget's concrete operational stage. This is a transitional stage between the pre–operational
period (a period when the child cannot yet perform any serious operation, a period of intuition when the child's reasoning is not yet quite logical) and
the formal operational stage (a period when the child thought process

Co Teaching Is Like A Professional Marriage Because
A)First, complete this sentence with at least 4 ideas– "Co–teaching is like a professional marriage because......"
1)Communication is vital in keeping a marriage and collaboration together. There has to be clear communication on both parties. Thoughts and ideas
should be address. In doing this there needs to be face–to–face interaction. Both parties need to make good eye contact, face their partner and discuss
their ideas or problems they are having. Just like in a good marriage communicate what are the responsibilities of each person.
2)Listen is another component of how marriage and collaboration go together. Everyone in the marriage and team needs to active listen to each other.
This builds trust and shows your partner that you care and are interested in what they have to say. Some great strategies for active listening are to use
reflection statements for instance; "paraphrase what the speaker said and responding to underlying feelings" (Tindall, 2000).
3)Co–teaching and a marriage have to display the same philosophy and values for any relationship to work. It is a give and take situation. There
should be a great deal of respect for each other. Both people view each other as equal with the same attitude and expectations.
4)Finally co–teaching and a marriage shared the load, have fun, and problem solve together. When you have another person helping you out with your
work that needs to be done whether it is housework or assignments for your job you have more time for

Using Peer Tutoring And Peer Assistance
Introduction
After taking the survey, I now realize I wish I was doing more differentiated instruction in my classroom. I chose a lot of "somewhat agrees" and that
means that I sometimes implement differentiation but not always. Reading through all of the questions really had my thinking on how I use them in
my classroom. For example: one of the questions I had trouble with was: I make frequent use of peer tutoring and peer assistance in my classroom. I
do not do any of that in my music classroom. I could try and have students help me hand out instruments or papers when we use them. Peer tutoring is
what I struggled with the most and know for a fact that I do not use that in my teaching. I could however, when teaching quarter and ... Show more

I will sometimes jot down by their name on the seating chart who needs help with what. Doing more formal assessments is a must in my classroom.
One example of a formal assessment that I did this past year was teaching the second graders the song "Rocky Mountain." Once the song was
memorized the students would come to the front of the room and sing "Rocky Mountain" for everyone to hear and I would grade them on their singing
ability; if all words were memorized, sang each note on the correct pitch and if they sang in the correct key throughout. I found this to be very
helpful with their personalities and interests because I found out who really liked singing and who did not really enjoy it. I also found out who was
shy and who was more outgoing. This helped me prepare some of lessons for the next few times and I knew who I could call on to sing for everyone.
Another strength that I have is helping students set individual learning goals. I recently helped a student who usually has a hard time concentrating and
staying on task create a GPAR (Goal–Plan, Action and Result), to help him get through his classes more focused. It worked very well and the student
got a great result and therefore I know I will be doing this more next year to help a lot more students become successful.
Improvements
Some of the improvements that I need to make in my classroom is taking inventory of my students' learning preferences before I

Early Christian Teachings
It's no question that Jesus played the biggest part in the forming of Christianity. The question is how much of Christianity is based off of his teachings?
For starters, there are a lot of his teachings that are not used in modern day. Christianity is built off of a whole lot. Namely the Pharisee tradition of
Judaism and all that comes with it (the old testament, the concept of heaven/hell, the resurrection, the devil, etc). Furthermore, Christianity is not based
solely off of the teachings of Jesus per say, rather it is based off of the story. Namely the crucifixion and resurrection. As far as how we should live, we
get a lot of that from Jesus, Paul, John, Peter, and the early church. Unfortunately, denominations, churches, and theologies tend to give principals and
rules rather than equip the average believer to actually walk with and know God. As far as doctrines such as the trinity, and general Christology we get
this very much from the early Church. So ultimately you have the Old Testament through the lens of the Pharisee's, the life of Christ, the teachings and
histories in the new testament, and then the doctrines found to be truth by the early Christians. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the New Testament the lessons of Jesus are introduced as far as his "words and works". The expressions of Jesus incorporate a few sermons, in
addition to parables that show up all through the account of the Synoptic Gospels (the gospel of John incorporates no parables). The works
incorporate the marvels and different acts performed during his ministry. The New Testament does not present the lessons of Jesus as merely his own
lessons, yet compares the expressions of Jesus with divine disclosure. The gospels incorporate several disclosures by Jesus on particular

Traditional and Alternative Teaching
Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION
THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND It is well known that children learn in various ways and have their own individual styles and strategies.
Some may enjoy group works, others individual works. Some may prefer teacher instructions with worksheets and firm direction, rather than
self–generated research projects. There are numerous ways children learn, but how does the surrounding environment, affects a child's learning ability
and influence the learning strategies that employ? Our society these days are divided into two different ways of thinking on the education. Some may
believe that alternative methods are better than the traditional methods of teaching but yet these two methods are both a successful ways. ... Show more

With the view of functionalist, Skinner (1953) developed his theory of learning on the concept of operantconditioning . He offer the organism operates
in the environment doing whatever it does. According to Skinner , while operating, the organisms encounters stimuli to which he referred as
reinforcing stimuli.
Cognitive Leaning Theory A founding father of Cognitive Learning Theory, GagnE (1985) contended that it is more realistic to assume that there are
different kinds of learning, arranged in a hierarchy, with one sortbeing the prerequisite for the next. For example, solving an algebraic problem depends
on understanding algebraic function, which depends on knowing basic mathematical skills and computations, which depends on recognizing simple
numbers and symbols. For GagnE, simple conditioning only provided the basis for more advance kind of learning. He built on the behaviorist model
by adding processing or cognitive component to Skinners' model.
Conceptual Framework For a better understanding of the study, the conceptual framework is presented in the paradigm below which consist of
independent and dependent variables.

The Principles Qualities Of A Good Teacher
In contrast, the type of inquire based approach that is taught in some of the SKE lessons at University of Sussex allows the student to understand
why a method works and encourage a comprehension of the mechanics behind the steps taken to solve a problem. Personally, I have noticed that as I
gain confidence in my mathematical ability, these sessions become more enjoyable. Still, to achieve confidence and be able to follow these lessons, I
need to familiarize myself with a method beforehand. For me this is most effectively achieved by solving series of example problems by a given
sequence of steps before embarking on a journey of understanding the reasoning behind each step. These inquiry–based lessons, therefore, are most
valuable when preceded by lessons with more direct instructions and teacher led demonstrations. Thus, this supports my vision that since all students
have their own preferred method for learning, even if they are not aware of it, the ability to explain a topic in a number of different ways is one of
the principle qualities of a good teacher.
Interestingly, as part of the SKE course I was given the opportunity to spend some time in a college, observing and assisting in lessons to students that
needed to retake their GSCE exams. The main method of teaching in these classes was purely instrumental, with the goal to equip the students with the
knowledge to pass their GSCE exams but without any deeper understanding of the methods. No emphasis was put on

Different Forms Of Co Teaching
Lauren Dursky and I decided that we would implement different forms of co–teaching for different subjects. It did not seem efficient to use the same
method for each subject, so we decided to vary the instruction. For math, we decided to use station teaching. This allows students to discover a true
understanding of each concept through different activities. This style of co–teaching also allows each teacher to incorporate his or her own unique
perspective into the classroom. This style could be challenging for math because it requires extra planning and you have to make sure both teachers
are teaching similar methods at the same time so movement from one station to the next is smooth. We then decided to use the teaming method for
history. The teaming method allows both teachers to present their own views to the class and bounce ideas off of each other (The Power of 2, 2005).
Instead of using textbooks to teach history, we decided to take a concept and explore its significance through events and debates. We would start off by
each presenting a different point of view on a single event and have students divide into two groups based on their initial thoughts. Each teacher would
then lead their portion of the class through research and constructing a debate. After a couple days spent learning about the situation and preparing an
argument, the two halves of the class would debate.
For language arts we decided to use the parallel teaching method. This method allows for small

Essay about Christian Teaching on Wealth and Poverty
Coursework
(a) (i) Outline Christian teaching on wealth and poverty.
Christians do not think money is a bad thing. However, they believe the way money is earned and used is the issue. Most Christians believe that
wealth is a gift from God to benefit others. Christians believe that all money belongs to God and he gives them stewardship of his money to use
wisely. The Bible teaches, "You cannot serve both God and money." (Matthew 6:24). For Christians this means that they must be careful not to replace
their love for God with the love of money. Christian teaching on wealth and possessions varies slightly regarding the amount of money and possessions
that should be given to the poor. Some Christians follow the teaching in (Mark ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Luke 10:25–37). Jesus taught this so that Christians would treat everyone the way that they would want to be treated. In Luke 6:20–26, Jesus said.
"That the poor were special to him and that their suffering would be rewarded in heaven." He also went on to say, "The rich who ignored the suffering
of the poor would be punished." One of Jesus' most important teachings on poverty was in Matthew 25:31–46. To the affect Jesus said "Whenever you
help anyone in need you are helping me." Christians believe that when they help someone they are helping Jesus and that they will be rewarded for it.
These are the main Christian teachings on wealth and poverty.

For my observations, I interviewed Penny who teaches gymnastics to children at a local fitness center. She teaches classes every Friday and Saturday
to children ranging from 2–14 years old. I observed her multiple times and recorded 6 hours of observations. After talking to Penny Lane, I found out
she did gymnastics as a child at her local fitness center. She was a student for there for about 8 years, while growing up. Then while she was in high
school she was asked to teach for students at her fitness center. She enjoyed it so much that when she moved up to Bellingham, she asked the fitness
center in town if she could teach some lessons. At the time, no one was teaching gymnastics and the fitness center said that she could teach. She was
able to create her own lesson plans and has been working at this location for 2 years. This is how she was able to get involved with this type of
work. She did mention a few struggles with the job such as the fitness center does not have a lot of funding and that sometimes hinders the lessons
and she explained that older students tend to drop out and go somewhere else. When I asked her how she felt about her work she said that it was
easy and fun. She really enjoys working with kids and feels comfortable teaching gymnastics. She wants to keep this job throughout her schooling
because she wants to be an elementary school teacher once she graduates from college. She doesn't make very much money so, I would say based off

A Description of Christian Teachings about the Roles of Men and Women
The family is our basic social unit. It is the smallest and most common group in our society. It is found in every country and in every age throughout
history. Sociologists often distinguish between two types of family.
The first is the 'nuclear' family which is where husband and wife live alone with their children.
The second is the 'extended' family, which consists of several generations possibly living in the same house and having relatives living in the
neighbourhood.
Christians believe that family is of great importance.
In Genesis it says: "Living as a family prevents loneliness."
Christians also belive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I mentioned earlier that caring for the needs of family members is very important. This includes children and looking after their spiritual and
emotional needs as well as their physical needs. The roles of men and women within families should be shared. The need for discipline should be
shared to and both parents should set codes of practice and examples. Parents need to enable their children to be responsible and expose them to
different situations. Children should be able to respect their parents and their decisions: Exodus 20:12, "Respect your father and mother, so that you may
live along time in the land I am giving you."
If parents create a stable background to bring a child into, then a sense of security and self–worth is also created.
There are three elements in family life and these are freedom, discipline and love.
Parents need to be consistent in terms of freedom and discipline and in doing so parents need to say what they mean and mean what they say, Proverbs
23:22, "Listen to your father; without him you would not exist. When your mother is old, show her your appreciation."
In terms of discipline parents should always be specific when the reprimand their children. This is important because it will enable the children to fully
understand why they should not do a specific thing. Above all families should show loyalty,

Christian Teachings On Righteousness And Helping The Poor

  • 1. False Christian Teaching Many people can teach the Gospel, but few can present it in a way of compelling and authentic manner. Through his teachings to the Ephesians, Ignatius provides beneficial concepts for Christianity that are crucial for the Church to pursue. He commends the Ephesians to live in unity and communion with God, respect the authority placed over them, and stray from false teachings. His thought–provoking ideas are absent from believers today and should be more vividly displayed in the lives of Christians. "For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others" (New International Version, Romans 12:4–5). Christians ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ignatius praised the Ephesians for staying strong in their faith when false teachers came to cripple their beliefs. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inward they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits" (New International Version, Matthew 7:15). It is difficult when a convincing person attempts to change your hopes and beliefs because they can be so sly and can twist thoughts. However, sticking to what is true, holy, and pleasing to God is the only way to dodge the destruction of the Christian mind. False prophets and teachers have no place in the lives' of Christians and should not be able to sway strong beliefs and claims. The Church today is victim to fictitious instruction and must remain faithful to what they know is true in God the Father. Ignatius' teachings to the Ephesians will ultimately benefit the Church if they are lived out everyday. He instructed them to live as one in Christ Jesus, to respect the authority over them, and to stray from false prophets who seek to corrupt their minds. If Christians today began to pursue these ideas, the world as a whole would benefit greatly because Christ would shine so brightly in and through them. Ignatius' teachings not only left an impact on the Ephesians, but continue to impact the Church as they are applied to Christians' everyday ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. My Teaching : Teaching, And More Effective Collaboration... Change is a part of life and I view myself as a life–long learner. I have frequently been called on to change. Once again new ideas are presented on being an effective teacher and I will discuss how my teaching will change as a result of this course. There are five areas of interest that I found will elevate my teaching skills. I will briefly describe them as structure, groupings, instructional strategies, the concept of linking assessment with teaching, and more effective collaboration with my peers. The concept of differentiated learning is appealing to me and while going through my internship, I experienced a differentiated kindergarten class. Children worked in different groupings at the same time as the teacher worked with small groups or individuals. The students were given and taught how to be responsible for their own learning at this young age. They worked on problem–solving skills and were guided to think critically about themselves and what was happening around them. It was delightful to be helping in this classroom. This experience coupled with this course, EDU 570, has given me much information to ponder with respect to how a differentiated music class would look like. I can see a performance based class, such as a grade three general music classroom, look like this: Some students would work on rhythmic games to develop basic rhythm reading, while others would already be composing with more complicated rhythms, and in addition, other individuals would be ... • 3. Christian Teachings On The Righteousness Of God There is a lot that could be said about the righteousness of God. Simply put, righteousness is the life of God. It is a pure or undefiled state of existence. Everything about God is righteousness, and everyone who has been born of God through the cross of Calvary has been given this nature of God. This is the nature of life and purity. God is a spirit and when He birthed us, He recreated us in spirit so that we may once again be like Him. When we were born again in the spirit, the Lord gave us His pure nature that is against anything that is filthy. Sin is the dirtiest thing in the sight of God. Anyone who is born again has been born again in the righteousness of God. Those who believe in Jesus are born into a new spiritual kingdom of righteousness. God is righteous and his kingdom is the kingdom of righteousness. The number one enemy of the kingdom of righteousness is sin. Those who are born again are born against sin. Everything about our new kingdom is against sinfulness, and we ought to walk in the testimony of our salvation. We were born again because the power of sin... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... To live in faith is to live in the spirit. When you live in the spirit, you are no longer controlled by the world. Anyone who lives in the spirit does not care about what the world is doing or saying, he is mindful of what God says. He has separated himself from the poisonous influence of the world. Faith is a spiritual power or ability that connects those who love the righteousness of God to the spiritual realm of existence. It makes it possible for us to comprehend and touch the spiritual things. Through faith, we understand that the Spiritual is more real than the physical. It is only through faith that we could understand the mysteries of God's existence. Furthermore, it is through faith that we understand that the spiritual powers have created the physical entities, and due to that, what is physical must be subordinate to the ... • 4. Essay about Christian Teachings on Wealth and Poverty Christianity teaches us that wealth is not what you need to enter heaven. To enter heaven you must be caring and share your riches with the poor and needy. As a result of Jesus' teachings, the early churches shared all they had to make sure no one was in need. Jesus taught us that the pursuing of wealth could lead you into temptations. He said that we will be judged not on the size of our bank balance, but on how we have helped those who are less fortunate. A well–known Christian teaching goes as follows: "It is harder for a rich man to go to heaven than it is for a camel to go through the eye of a needle". This means it is impossible for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This quote is telling us that being rich, having power or fame, or having any human achievements is not true happiness. True happiness comes from helping your fellow man. Therefore the Catholic Churches view is clear that they think being self–centred and narrow minded is the wrong way to go about life. Catholics believe that you be able to realise the suffering of the other people around you and help those people. To summarise, Christianity teaches us that we must share our riches with the poor and needy if we want to go to heaven. Greed and selfishness is unchristian. Christians today still follow Jesus' teachings by doing the following things: В· Giving clothes to charity shops such as Oxfam. В· Donating money to charity. В· Doing voluntary work to collect donations to charity. В· Islamic teachings on wealth and povertyFunded races and other activities. The Islamic religion teaches its followers to base their lives around the five pillars. One of these pillars is called Zakah, Zakah is meant to purify the money you leave so it cannot harm you in the future. Muslims have very strict rules, one of which is not to gamble. The reason being is because it is a sinful temptation and is against what the Islamic Religion teaches. Muslims are also encouraged to help the poor by refusing to charge interest on loans and by changing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Parents are responsible for give a child the learning that they need. Since no one parent or person can correctly show children all things and since children need some entertaining people have taken the opportunities to put together books and children's programs to aid in the education of the children. From parent seminars, to books and movies, to even games consoles, children are not only being taught the basic concepts of the world, shapes, colors, language, but they are also being taught the norms and values of a particular society. Most children's material used Bible stories and life lessons to give children the lessons of life. Books like Aesop's Fables2 and Children's Stories of the Bible3 children are taught things such as perserverance, hard work, patience, and obedience. Aesop's Fables teach children important lessons about how to live their lives. The stories vary from The Hare and the Tortoise, to Briar Rabbit, and The Ant and the Grasshopper. each of these stories are presented to children to teach them the lesson of perserverance by seeing how the tortoise never gave up and because of the haughtiness and pride of the hare, the tortoise won the race. The child that hears or reads this story may not realize that they are being taught lessons, but they will still begin to learn that pride and haughty attitudes will cause them to lose things that are important, while perseverance will lead to gain. obediences the other stories teach respect for others things, that disobedience will lead to trouble, and that hard work will take you further than laziness. • 6. Islamic And Christian Scripture : Teaching Of Religious... Forgiveness is well established around the interpreted teaching of religious figures like Jesus, to be essentially concerned with desire to serve others through action, mind and spirit. Religious sacred texts have continually formed interesting perceptions throughout history, spurring on the interpretation of new meanings of the traditional concept of forgiveness through the application of contextual information, first historical, and more recently in the form of literary discourse. Both Islamic and Christian scripture have introduced a diversified outlook on the importance of forgiving or being forgiven. Mohammed's divine authority in Islam teaches people that forgiveness is essentially conditional on the person's ability to repent, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The word forgiveness has several meanings and has the potential to ultimately cleanse someone's life of past remorse. According to John O. Reid, "forgiveness is one of the chief characteristics we must have if we are to become literal children of God in His Kingdom" (Reid, 2015). This understanding of forgiveness is seen through God's Divine teaching and authority in John 14:2; therefore, this interpretation is that forgiveness comes from merciful will and pardon of mistakes. Furthermore, a prominent Gospel analyst from Forerunner Commentary, construes the power of forgiveness through "one of the keys that Jesus taught for healing" (Forerunner Commentary, 2015). This articulates forgiveness of sin as an ultimate custom of healing such as in Matthew 6:12, "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors," and "forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who have sinned against us" (Luke 11:4).The essence of forgiveness in Christianity is a diversified matter, however; it is the ongoing implementation of forgiveness into the midst of our lives is what makes a faithful follower. "Jesus taught that forgiveness is central to the relationship between God and humans, and between humans" (Rsrevision, 2015). This instils that to receive forgiveness from God you must be a living embodiment of a remissive follower. Hence, a slighter significance is imparted on a divine pardon, the true meaning of ... • 7. Christian Teachings Concerning Racism Racism can be defined by the formula prejudice + power = racism. Racism is when racial prejudice is turned into action that harms others. Racism is the belief that one race of people is superior to another because of their colour or race. Racism is simply based on the colour of a person's skin. Racism is destructive and it disembowels people by shattering their identity. It destroys community cohesion and creates divisions in society. It is the opposite of the democratic principle of equality and the right of all people to be treated fairly. Racism is an enormous problem in society today; it is causing much conflict in many parts of the world. The origin of racism originated in the 18th ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is estimated that there are 140,0002 racist attacks in Britain every year purely due to the colour of someone's skin. Many of these attacks were not reported to the police. The reported racist attacks rose 107%3 in 2000. Beatings, firebombing, and excrement pushed through letterboxes, are just some of the actions that having a different colour of skin can lead to. Government figures and statistics show that people from ethinic minorities are more likely to have a worse experience in the criminal justice system and that 43% 1 of the people that the government surveyed felt that there was more racism now than five years ago. The statistics also showed that black people were eight times, and Asians three times more likely to be stopped and searched than white people in 2001/02. The Church of England Board for social responsibility also said in relation to this " Young people from ethinic minorities fear the police. They do not respect them. Their fear springs from experience; they are often stopped in the streets questioned and searched; many are racially abused; some are beaten in police custody." The figures also show that black people were four times more likely to be arrested than white people or any other minority ethnic group. There have even been brutal murders. The first is for the student nurses to be able to identify all the supplies necessary to change a sterile dressing and to be able to correctly assess when a dressing needs changed or reinforced. The biggest difference between student–centered education and traditional education is that with student–centered education a variety of teaching methods are used (Blumberg, 2008). People all learn in different ways and at different levels and using just one standard teaching method does not always work for everyone. Learner–centered education is beneficial to both the teacher and the student in that it provides the perfect environment for hands on learning. In reflecting from my field teaching lessons, I realized that there were many things that I was pleased with, but I also realized that there were many things I know I need to work on. Watching a video of you teach a class is the absolute best way to self–evaluate yourself. We are most critical of ourselves when we can see our work played back to us. The students were able to choose what incident they wanted to write about from their lived experiences. After my minilesson on verbals I wanted students to incorporate these into their own writing to add action and precise details about their significant incident. During this lesson plan I wanted to keep in mind the one ELL student at field placement. I had gotten to know her very well through interviewing her, and knew from previous conversations that she really struggled to understand grammar. When students were working individually on their writing assignment, I made sure to visit this one student in particular to be sure that she understood the concept fully. • 10. I Designed My Lesson Plan a.) I designed my lesson plan to be used in first and second grade. This lesson plan was designed to be a cross curriculum lesson about spiders that incorporates the following subject areas: Science, Language Arts, and Visual/Performance Arts. This lesson will be taught during the month of October after students have gained prior knowledge through an insect unit that was taught the month before. (b.) The content object that I used in this lesson was for students to be able to identify important information about spiders. I think that providing students with background knowledge prior (teaching a month long unit on insects) would assist students when it comes time to do a unit on spiders. I think that the most challenging aspect for this lesson would be the vocabulary words. The vocabulary list that I have complied varies in difficulty and I believe that some of the words would be more challenging to some of the students. I would ensure that these words were taught previously in the insect unit in order for students to become familiar with these words. I would also have prior knowledge of my student's abilities and provide individualized word lists that match the student's ability. In addition, I would stock the student library with a variety of books about spiders that contain the vocabulary words, and utilize various center activities to reinforce the lesson objectives for this unit. Teachings of the Bible and the Christian Church About Human Responsibility for the World The Bible contains many teachings about our human responsibility towards the created world. It talks about the start of creation in Genesis. Here it is made clear that human beings are made in the image of God so that they can continue his good work. At the outset they are given power over the rest of creation and now if all humans work together to make the world a better place they will be more powerful so it will happen, but even if just a few people are not willing to help then all will fall apart (see poster). The other implication here is that the power comes with responsibility. The role of human beings... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unfortunately, the people most affected are those who are poorer. The greed and pollution of people in the Northern Hemisphere is having a serious impact on global warming and the worst effects f this are experienced not by us in the Northern Hemisphere but by those in the Southern Hemisphere. These people, already living in great poverty, then suffer even greater problems in terms of severe droughts, famines, flooding etc., which leaves them even poorer. The Bible makes it quite clear that in terms of looking after the world, we have a duty not only to look after the environment but also to look after our fellow human beings. Hence the most important teaching, "Love thy neighbour as yourself". Jesus made it quite clear in the story he told about the Good Samaritan that our neighbour is anyone and everyone who is in need, even our enemy, irrespective of their race/colour/religion. Another important teaching, called one body many parts, makes it clear that human beings physically make up the body of God here on Earth. We are therefore his hands; his feet etc and therefore we should do what he would do himself if he were physically present. What we should do is look after our neighbour. Furthermore, if just some of us, (one tiny bit of the body) does not do what it is supposed to do then everyone else will be weakened. We must work together in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I enrolled in the Certificate in the University Teaching (CUT) program in spring 2014 right after completing the FUT program in winter 2014. Through the GS901 workshops, I learned about students' traits and attitudes toward learning and interactive teaching through active learning. With regards to course design, I learned the importance of having an organized, yet flexible, course plan that is designed in equilibrium with course objectives and assessments. Teaching observation practicum, provided me with an opportunity to assess my teaching from the perspective of an experienced educator. Below, I will discuss the elements and strategies that I have experimented with based on the comments and suggestions I received. COLLECTIVE LEARNING: One of the key elements in teaching undergraduate classes is to create a learning environment that cultivates critical thinking and mastery of concepts. As an instructor, I have experienced with various active learning methods to keep my students engaged and motivated. Within the pedagogy toolbox, I found the element of discovery to be the most effective way of teaching. In my classes, before even explaining a new concept, I usually pose a question to class and ask my students to find a solution. I ask my students to work in pairs (and sometimes groups) to come up with a solution without them knowing the new concepts. The idea is to assist them to discover the new concepts by thinking out of the box and trying different approaches. During ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To make this meaningful to the students and then relevant was impressive. Mrs. Anderson asked the core of the lesson plan on the first three days to give the basics. This was relatively easy and the students made it easier by doing their "jobs" and learning. On day four, Mrs. Anderson walked the students through the process of how a bill becomes a law. However, this class was linked to year eleven, comprising of 16 and 17 year olds. This gave rise to considerable discussion, as the group believed that the ideal time to learn values is more appropriate during adolescence, such as years seven or eight. After a considerable reflection it was deduced that to a degree it is true that in partying knowledge and values upon younger students is both more effective and easier, as at this age they are more impressionable and accepting of new ideals. However, learning is not a an end product and the intent of the lesson was more about nurturing the ideas that the students have already subconsciously gained, whilst aiming to foster and enhance these values, in order for them to emerge consciously enriched. The teachings of Sankey and Kim (2013) under the umbrella of the Dynamic System Theory greatly influenced these decisions, were they stress a non linear and highly variable process of development, and thus, signifying an older age group does not quantify the need to disenfranchise themselves from moral development. It is the act of purposely aiding someone to die, instead of letting nature take its course. There are four main types of euthanasia these are: Voluntary, Involuntary, Active and Passive. To add to that: the Roman Catholic Church regards the sanctity of life as an extremely important teaching and places the highest value on human life and suffering and pain do not stop life being valuable and is not a reason for ending life, therefore the Church believes that people should leave the dying process to God, not to humans who by allowing euthanasia are, for Roman Catholics, devaluing human life and making it seem disposable. Instead people should die with dignity and let them be loved unconditionally by God until the end of earthly life. Therefore Roman Catholics oppose euthanasia, this is an absolute view. The Church of England's report in 1975 on "dying well" and the Methodist Church's statement in 1974 both oppose euthanasia. They emphasise the fact that human life is sacred. However Christian views today vary with most Christians not accepting euthanasia. A Christian teaching that can be used for euthanasia is the sanctity of life. Last Sunday, I participated in the 1st annual golden harvest 5k marathon. First, I'd like to discuss the spiritual concepts/values from text that relate to personal beliefs. I am a Christian since birth. So all I'd like to talk about is Christian life and the teachings of the bible. Throughout my whole life, I have learned about spiritual things and what kind of spiritual things are in my ego. The spiritual values that I always have is love, hope, and trust. Love is an element that Christians value and have in their Christian mind and the bible says to love each other. I am doing my best to understand this word throughout my whole life and it is the reason why I chose my major Nursing. The dictionary meaning of love is an intense feeling of deep affection or feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment to someone. The bible states that Christian love is selfless and a giving love. I realized something when I went to Africa for doing some volunteer work. I felt what it meant to be selfless and what it was to give love through volunteering and now I keep this in mind through my life too. The second value is hope. There are three key principles; Planning, Teaching and Assessment (Education Scotland, 2011). Throughout this essay I will focus on how these principles affiliate children's development and their learning. Two English Lessons completed during the introductory placement will underpin this evaluation. Planning At the core of any planning lies the National Curriculum. Before Planning can even begin a teacher must know what the children need to learn. When the teacher gave me my topic's I went straight to the National Curriculum. It is also important in order to plan for progression to know what they have previously covered so I arranged a meeting with the class teacher. Once all this information had been established I collated my planning. Denby, (2012) claims starting a lesson with what children already know lends itself to the importance of planning. He believes lessons must be planned to accommodate progression. It is important that teachers feel confident about what their pupils know or can do. Once this has been determined their next challenge is to plan lessons that allow children to collectively move forward. There are three key areas of planning that are covered within schools, Long–term planning, Mid–term planning and Short–term planning (Lesson planning). Mark was writing his gospel at a time when many Christians were dying for their belief in Jesus. Crucifixion was a real possibility. There have been times since then, even to the present day, when Christians have been persecuted for their beliefs like Nelson Mandela, who believed in the rights of different races, whatever their colour and was imprisoned for 27 years in which he only saw his wife three times. And we are the fellow workers, companions of God. >Conclusion "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter jugment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body" (James 3: 1–2) This does not mean that teachers get judged alot so do not become a teacher. The verse is actually indicating that do not be a teacher who only serves with mouth without action. We all have many mistakes in speaking. 'If anyone does not stumble in word' means that taking an action complies with spoken words. If a preacher only speaks without showing any action, no listener will be moved or receive an inspiration. This is very true to teachers too. Teachers need to act as they speak. Of course, we have a flesh and cannot be perfect, but we need to strive to be like that. Only then our students will learn from teachers and become a worker of God. It is indeed a huge responsibility but do not be burndensome because it is a holy burden. When a teacher is timid and discouraged, then the power of words also decrease. A teacher must be serious and bold to preach the words of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

PEDAGOGICAL STRATEGIES FOR THE TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS IN NIGERIAN PRIMARY SCHOOLS FOR SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT BY AJILEYE, Adewole Mukaila Department of Mathematics Osun State College of Education, Ilesa E–mail: ajileye4ever@yahoo.com Abstract For a country to be technologically developed there is need for efficient handling of mathematics at levels of education. The perennial low performance of pupils in mathematics has been attributed among other things to inadequate knowledge of subject matter content by teachers and poor instructional techniques. This paper highlighted the basic principles for effective teaching and learning of mathematics in primary school which is a fundamental stage of child education. ... There are many approaches to teaching of mathematics. These include: * Problem solving * Discovery Approach * Expository * Laboratory * Questioning skills * Individualization group work * Demonstration, etc. (Johnson & Rising, 1972) All these methods are good but no teaching method could be regarded as superior to the other. In application, combination of these methods will be desirable. It all depends on the content, objectives and the nature of the learners. BASIC PRINCIPLES OF EFFECTIVE TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS 1. Basic stages of teaching and learning Fakuade (1981) identifed three significant stages of learning topics in mathematics. These are: * Concrete materials and demonstration of real life situation stage * Semi–concrete or pictorial studies stage * Abstraction stage Pupils in the primary schools have the age ranges between 5 and 12. This is the age period that coincides approximately with the Piaget's concrete operational stage. This is a transitional stage between the pre–operational period (a period when the child cannot yet perform any serious operation, a period of intuition when the child's reasoning is not yet quite logical) and the formal operational stage (a period when the child thought process

Co Teaching Is Like A Professional Marriage Because A)First, complete this sentence with at least 4 ideas– "Co–teaching is like a professional marriage because......" 1)Communication is vital in keeping a marriage and collaboration together. There has to be clear communication on both parties. Thoughts and ideas should be address. In doing this there needs to be face–to–face interaction. Both parties need to make good eye contact, face their partner and discuss their ideas or problems they are having. Just like in a good marriage communicate what are the responsibilities of each person. 2)Listen is another component of how marriage and collaboration go together. Everyone in the marriage and team needs to active listen to each other. This builds trust and shows your partner that you care and are interested in what they have to say. Some great strategies for active listening are to use reflection statements for instance; "paraphrase what the speaker said and responding to underlying feelings" (Tindall, 2000). 3)Co–teaching and a marriage have to display the same philosophy and values for any relationship to work. It is a give and take situation. There should be a great deal of respect for each other. Both people view each other as equal with the same attitude and expectations. 4)Finally co–teaching and a marriage shared the load, have fun, and problem solve together. I chose a lot of "somewhat agrees" and that means that I sometimes implement differentiation but not always. Reading through all of the questions really had my thinking on how I use them in my classroom. For example: one of the questions I had trouble with was: I make frequent use of peer tutoring and peer assistance in my classroom. I do not do any of that in my music classroom. I could try and have students help me hand out instruments or papers when we use them. Peer tutoring is what I struggled with the most and know for a fact that I do not use that in my teaching. I could however, when teaching quarter and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I will sometimes jot down by their name on the seating chart who needs help with what. Doing more formal assessments is a must in my classroom. One example of a formal assessment that I did this past year was teaching the second graders the song "Rocky Mountain." Once the song was memorized the students would come to the front of the room and sing "Rocky Mountain" for everyone to hear and I would grade them on their singing ability; if all words were memorized, sang each note on the correct pitch and if they sang in the correct key throughout. I found this to be very helpful with their personalities and interests because I found out who really liked singing and who did not really enjoy it. I also found out who was shy and who was more outgoing. This helped me prepare some of lessons for the next few times and I knew who I could call on to sing for everyone. Another strength that I have is helping students set individual learning goals. I recently helped a student who usually has a hard time concentrating and staying on task create a GPAR (Goal–Plan, Action and Result), to help him get through his classes more focused. It worked very well and the student got a great result and therefore I know I will be doing this more next year to help a lot more students become successful. • 34. Early Christian Teachings It's no question that Jesus played the biggest part in the forming of Christianity. The question is how much of Christianity is based off of his teachings? For starters, there are a lot of his teachings that are not used in modern day. Christianity is built off of a whole lot. Namely the Pharisee tradition of Judaism and all that comes with it (the old testament, the concept of heaven/hell, the resurrection, the devil, etc). Furthermore, Christianity is not based solely off of the teachings of Jesus per say, rather it is based off of the story. Namely the crucifixion and resurrection. As far as how we should live, we get a lot of that from Jesus, Paul, John, Peter, and the early church. Unfortunately, denominations, churches, and theologies tend to give principals and rules rather than equip the average believer to actually walk with and know God. As far as doctrines such as the trinity, and general Christology we get this very much from the early Church. So ultimately you have the Old Testament through the lens of the Pharisee's, the life of Christ, the teachings and histories in the new testament, and then the doctrines found to be truth by the early Christians. ... Traditional and Alternative Teaching Chapter 1 INTRODUCTION THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND It is well known that children learn in various ways and have their own individual styles and strategies. Some may enjoy group works, others individual works. Some may prefer teacher instructions with worksheets and firm direction, rather than self–generated research projects. There are numerous ways children learn, but how does the surrounding environment, affects a child's learning ability and influence the learning strategies that employ? Our society these days are divided into two different ways of thinking on the education. Some may believe that alternative methods are better than the traditional methods of teaching but yet these two methods are both a successful ways. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With the view of functionalist, Skinner (1953) developed his theory of learning on the concept of operantconditioning . He offer the organism operates in the environment doing whatever it does. According to Skinner , while operating, the organisms encounters stimuli to which he referred as reinforcing stimuli. Cognitive Leaning Theory A founding father of Cognitive Learning Theory, GagnE (1985) contended that it is more realistic to assume that there are different kinds of learning, arranged in a hierarchy, with one sortbeing the prerequisite for the next. For example, solving an algebraic problem depends on understanding algebraic function, which depends on knowing basic mathematical skills and computations, which depends on recognizing simple numbers and symbols. For GagnE, simple conditioning only provided the basis for more advance kind of learning. He built on the behaviorist model by adding processing or cognitive component to Skinners' model. • 37. The Principles Qualities Of A Good Teacher In contrast, the type of inquire based approach that is taught in some of the SKE lessons at University of Sussex allows the student to understand why a method works and encourage a comprehension of the mechanics behind the steps taken to solve a problem. Personally, I have noticed that as I gain confidence in my mathematical ability, these sessions become more enjoyable. Still, to achieve confidence and be able to follow these lessons, I need to familiarize myself with a method beforehand. For me this is most effectively achieved by solving series of example problems by a given sequence of steps before embarking on a journey of understanding the reasoning behind each step. These inquiry–based lessons, therefore, are most valuable when preceded by lessons with more direct instructions and teacher led demonstrations. Thus, this supports my vision that since all students have their own preferred method for learning, even if they are not aware of it, the ability to explain a topic in a number of different ways is one of the principle qualities of a good teacher. Interestingly, as part of the SKE course I was given the opportunity to spend some time in a college, observing and assisting in lessons to students that needed to retake their GSCE exams. The main method of teaching in these classes was purely instrumental, with the goal to equip the students with the knowledge to pass their GSCE exams but without any deeper understanding of the methods. No emphasis was put on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Different Forms Of Co Teaching Lauren Dursky and I decided that we would implement different forms of co–teaching for different subjects. It did not seem efficient to use the same method for each subject, so we decided to vary the instruction. For math, we decided to use station teaching. This allows students to discover a true understanding of each concept through different activities. This style of co–teaching also allows each teacher to incorporate his or her own unique perspective into the classroom. This style could be challenging for math because it requires extra planning and you have to make sure both teachers are teaching similar methods at the same time so movement from one station to the next is smooth. We then decided to use the teaming method for history. The teaming method allows both teachers to present their own views to the class and bounce ideas off of each other (The Power of 2, 2005). Instead of using textbooks to teach history, we decided to take a concept and explore its significance through events and debates. We would start off by each presenting a different point of view on a single event and have students divide into two groups based on their initial thoughts. Each teacher would then lead their portion of the class through research and constructing a debate. After a couple days spent learning about the situation and preparing an argument, the two halves of the class would debate. For language arts we decided to use the parallel teaching method. This method allows for small ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Essay about Christian Teaching on Wealth and Poverty Coursework (a) (i) Outline Christian teaching on wealth and poverty. Christians do not think money is a bad thing. However, they believe the way money is earned and used is the issue. Most Christians believe that wealth is a gift from God to benefit others. Christians believe that all money belongs to God and he gives them stewardship of his money to use wisely. The Bible teaches, "You cannot serve both God and money." (Matthew 6:24). For Christians this means that they must be careful not to replace their love for God with the love of money. Christian teaching on wealth and possessions varies slightly regarding the amount of money and possessions that should be given to the poor. Some Christians follow the teaching in (Mark ... "That the poor were special to him and that their suffering would be rewarded in heaven." He also went on to say, "The rich who ignored the suffering of the poor would be punished." One of Jesus' most important teachings on poverty was in Matthew 25:31–46. To the affect Jesus said "Whenever you help anyone in need you are helping me." Christians believe that when they help someone they are helping Jesus and that they will be rewarded for it. These are the main Christian teachings on wealth and poverty. She teaches classes every Friday and Saturday to children ranging from 2–14 years old. I observed her multiple times and recorded 6 hours of observations. After talking to Penny Lane, I found out she did gymnastics as a child at her local fitness center. She was a student for there for about 8 years, while growing up. Then while she was in high school she was asked to teach for students at her fitness center. She enjoyed it so much that when she moved up to Bellingham, she asked the fitness center in town if she could teach some lessons. At the time, no one was teaching gymnastics and the fitness center said that she could teach. She was able to create her own lesson plans and has been working at this location for 2 years. This is how she was able to get involved with this type of work. She did mention a few struggles with the job such as the fitness center does not have a lot of funding and that sometimes hinders the lessons and she explained that older students tend to drop out and go somewhere else. When I asked her how she felt about her work she said that it was easy and fun. She really enjoys working with kids and feels comfortable teaching gymnastics. It is the smallest and most common group in our society. It is found in every country and in every age throughout history. Sociologists often distinguish between two types of family. The first is the 'nuclear' family which is where husband and wife live alone with their children. I mentioned earlier that caring for the needs of family members is very important. This includes children and looking after their spiritual and emotional needs as well as their physical needs. The roles of men and women within families should be shared. The need for discipline should be shared to and both parents should set codes of practice and examples. Parents need to enable their children to be responsible and expose them to different situations. Children should be able to respect their parents and their decisions: Exodus 20:12, "Respect your father and mother, so that you may live along time in the land I am giving you." If parents create a stable background to bring a child into, then a sense of security and self–worth is also created. There are three elements in family life and these are freedom, discipline and love. Parents need to be consistent in terms of freedom and discipline and in doing so parents need to say what they mean and mean what they say, Proverbs 23:22, "Listen to your father; without him you would not exist. When your mother is old, show her your appreciation."
