An Essay On The Senses
The senses
Kellymae, was in fact, no normal girl. I guess you can say that she had some sort of "gift". However,
she didn't necessarily like this "gift", she was always picked on as a kid for it. Even by her aunts and
uncles, they always told her to knock it off, that 'it's not funny, stop with these childish games'. But
she knew these things weren't funny, heck, she didn't ask to be able to see them. If it was her choice,
she wouldn't ever want this– this stupid, stupid gift.
She first realized her sixth sense, as she called it, when she was five. Her guardian, who was her
aunt, let her play outside with some neighbors. Kellymae saw a little girl, about her age standing
behind a tree, peeking at them. She had long black hair that ... Show more content on

" 'Miki'? That's such a cute name!" Kelly said excitedly, "It fits you well too! I have to go now, I'll
see you tomorrow Miki!"
She never got to though, her Aunt telling her she had to move in with another family, like she
always did. But moving wasn't the issue, the issue was that she never got to say bye to Miki, the
little girl in the pink sweater.
Kellymae moved out of her aunt's house that following night, and didn't get to see Miki or the others
again. Instead, she moved in with a childless couple into a whole different city. The couple was very
sweet and loving, unlike anything she got from her actual family. Kellymae was scared though, what
if they figured out she could see things ordinary people couldn't? Would they abandon her just like
the rest of her family? She decided from then on, she wouldn't let them know of her gift.
Now, as Kellymae enters her first year of high school, friends is a much more foreign word to her.
Seeming as she hasn't had one for so long, the only things that actually talked to her were the spirits,
though, she was irritated whenever they did. Speaking of spirits, there was one currently sitting on
her teacher's shoulder, like it belonged there.
She gave it an irritated look and sat in the back of the classroom, by the windows. The teacher
introduced herself to the class and then took roll. When calling out roll, Kellymae heard a familiar
name, like she

Legend Of Lillianna
"Daddy it's you! It's really you? I love you with all of my heart!" A beautiful girl cried to a tiny,
colorful butterfly. Once upon time in the mystical location of Fiji, there was a young girl named
Lilianna. Lilianna was a talented girl with great creativity. She would imagine all sorts of different
lands she had never been to, and their people she hadn't met. From all the things that she
remembered about her past, she could never remember a summer where she wasn't alone. Summer
was her favorite time of year, and she was never greeted by anyone to spend it with. The true family
of this young girl had never been around in Lilianna's life. Poor Lilianna just traveled the
magnificent island alone with no one to protect her from the madness ... Show more content on

Her father played a huge role in her life when she was just a small toddler. Her cared for her
immensely as if she was an expensive, polished diamond that he had just bought to propose to his
wife with. Lilianna remembered specifically that her father was apart of the national Fiji military
that was sent to fight off arriving pirates. She remembered with great recollection all the memorable
times she spent with her father as a toddler, playing in the mud and running around the house. They
used to have so much fun together until he went away. Lilianna had never met her mother, so here
father was the only person she ever knew. Her dad didn't want to leave her in order to go into the
military, but that was his only way of income. Her father left her behind, but he knew that she was
going to be able to survive on her own. All of a sudden, she made direct eye contact with the
butterfly. In a split second, the butterfly rested upon the young girl's shoulder. It was her father.
"Daddy it's you! It's really you? I love you with all of my heart!" A beautiful girl cried to a tiny,
colorful butterfly. "I'll never call you West again!" She laughed as tears rolled down her rosy cheeks.
From that summer on, Lilianna was never alone. Her strong father figure was constantly by her side,
only in the form of a butterfly. Her father was always protecting her from that day forward. The
girl's life was not perfect, but she lived on to be the

Essay on Alfred Hitchcock's Control Of What We See in Rear...
Alfred Hitchcock's Control Of What We See in Rear Window Alfred Hitchcock controls what we
see in the film by firstly controlling what the camera shows, he adds small details to the film to
provide reasons for various events happening, he also uses each of the characters to convey a
message to the public, includes some short but effective shots of some of the characters to stir
certain feelings within the audience, uses light humour and sometimes uses only visual aids to show
people what is going on in the film. Hitchcock controls what we see in the film by using the camera
to show only what he wants us to see, and shows us the scenarios from the eyes of L.B Jeffries the
photographer, his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The small gap which enables Jeffries to look at a small section of the main street is used so that
Jeffries sees various events (e.g Thorwald going and coming out of his flat with his suitcase at two
o'clock in the morning) and so that people can communicate with him (e.g Stella using hand
gestures to tell Jeffries that she didn't manage to catch up with the van) However Hitchcock has
used several details such as Jeffries camera, the gap and the distance from his flat to the gap to
disable from Jeffries communicating to anyone, and he can only be signalled to and has little control
over the situation. The Director has even inserted little details in the layout of the flat, such as the
stairs, which prohibit him from going out. In the film Jeffries is a magazine photographer (He broke
his leg by taking a photo of a moving racing car while standing right in front of it) this means that
he has equipment such as cameras that can zoom in. This is Hitchcock's way of showing the
audience only what he wants to. Jeffries only zooms in on Thorwald when Hitchcock wants to,
which means that he can gradually give the audience more and more clues regarding Thorwald and
his motives, which is how the majority of "whodunits" are written or produced.

My Dream Story
I woke again from the same dream that I have been having for weeks or months I don't remember
anymore. The dream was about two older people coming towards a young girl and taking her from
her bed while she was sleeping, they just took her, as they were taking her off the property she woke
up and started kicking and screaming. Then she says a bad man killed her. Than she would say both
of them were sick, very sick. It has been happening ever since we moved near Lidtke Mill. I went
out to go get the paper and the cover story was "Death at Lidtke Mill". I thought to myself "Who
was it? How did it happen?".
The rest of my family walked into the kitchen and sat down, mom and dad read the paper and
looked like they had just seen a ghost all through the cover story. We ate a almost peaceful breakfast
besides Scarlett singing Jack and Jill fell down a hill the WHOLE time, I don't know what is wrong
with her. Mama said that it was a little girl who died in the paper. Mama said she had been
kidnapped. Mama said by a bad man a very bad man. I asked Mama to tell me more about the little
girl and she said yes.
Mama started off saying "The little girl's name was Gretchen Keller, her and her family had just
moved near Lidtke Mill too. She was sleeping soundly in her nice warm bed, Her parents heard a
loud BANG, they ran to her room and when they got there she was gone and the room was a mess,
and her all of her clothes were gone. They looked all over the property because it was huge.

Eulogy For Emily
1. The daughter was beautiful and a happy baby. Emily was active, play, and full of life like the
other babies when she was young: She was a beautiful baby. The first and only one of our five that
was beautiful at birth. You do not guess how new and uneasy her tenancy........ She was a beautiful
baby. She blew shining bubbles of sound. She loved motion, loved light, loved color and music and
textures. She would lie on the floor in her blue overalls patting the surface so hard in ecstasy her
hands...... (292)
The praises and comments the mother talked about the baby proof to us the kind and the nature of
the baby she was. Joyfully and strongly was Emily when she was still a baby. However, the daughter

As the story ends I think the mother loves her daughter. Being a young mother, she tried to look for
money in order to provide for the daughter. Though Emily was stressed and depressed the mother
was still thinking how to help her to come out of this. When the mother acknowledged her gifts and
pointed it out to Emily, at last, this made, Emily realized her talents. My response and understanding
of the final line in the story: "Only help her to know– help make it so there is cause for her to know–
that she is more than this dress on the ironing board, helpless before the iron" (298). Emily's mother
is reflecting on how she will make Emily understand that she loved her like the other children.
Eventually, in the early childhood, Emily missed the parental care because the mother had to leave
her and go to work. Therefore, the daughter thought and knew that the mother does not love or care
about. Thinking of this, the mother wants the daughter to realize that she has value than the dressing

Her mom would read to her during sessions, and she would tell her what which colors combined
where what colors. Her answer to what is red and yellow together was Ketchup. Obviously.
A obstacle with battling Osteomyelitis is physical activity. She had a huge scar on my chest from
surgery, and her body took in a lot much radiation that year so she always was a step back when it
came to physical activity. The doctors told her mom to stay away from firefighter poles on the
playground, climbing equipment, and monkey bars because it would've stretched the scar she had.
That's why she still never go near these thing to this day. Also she got out of Physical Education for

The girl had some troubles in school that year however. She would space out often, cry, be hungry
because often because she couldn't eat, and this was one of the hardest parts. Her parents were what
made this thing so difficult to look back on. The girl would go home after school everyday, and
everything would be absolutely fine. However when she went to school the kids thought the girl was

scans, and surgeries to make this go away. Although it made her into the person today, and 7 years

I Run Away : A Short Story : Running Away
I ran away when I was ten years old. It was a small argument with my parents that provoked it. The
situation was contentious and furor. I wanted to have a sleepover with five girls from school, they
said that we couldn't fit five other girls in our apartment. I lashed out at them, throwing a full–
fledged tantrum, and then I left. Marched out of the door, ignoring their calls for me to come back.
My plan was to spend the night at my grandparents house and go back in the morning. It was a short
walk, only four blocks to my grandparents, but I didn't make it. On the second block the light was
about to turn red. I convinced myself I could make it and ran out into the middle of the street, only
to get struck by a car. Funny, I don't even remember dying. I don't remember what it felt like, or if I
saw God waiting for me. As soon as the car hit me, my eyes closed, only to be snapped open a few
seconds later. But I was no longer in the street, I was in my favorite park. I looked down to see my
wrinkled t–shirt and jeans had been replaced with a long, flowy white dress. I felt odd, almost
hollow. I broke out into a sprint, and ran in the direction of my house, but when I reached the front
gate of the park, I was thrown backwards by an invisible force. I hit the ground hard, and let out a
painful groan. I slowly got up, ignoring the pain in my side. I started to run out of the park when I
was thrown backwards again. I couldn't leave. Why couldn't I leave? Out of the corner of my eye I

Essay about A Home that I Can Point To
A Home that I Can Point To
We are moving once again. The new place is barely down the street, but we have to move again.
This is the fifth time in six years that I have moved from one apartment to another. Im glad we are
finally moving out of the old apartment, because the guy below us constantly banged on his ceiling
when I walked from one room to another. Its been awhile since I have had a place to call home, a
place I can grow fond of. I have hope that one day we will live in a house and not have to worry
about cranky neighbors or stairs to climb before I reach my front door.
As I read the short piece from Sandra Cisneross, The House On Mango Street, I began to appreciate
everything that I had in life. The story is narrated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The inside of the apartment was nothing special. Brown carpeting and peered off tiles made it feel
dead. The loud noise of the freeway right next door vibrated our home from time to time and
prevented us from keeping our doors open. From our balcony view all you could see was the
freeway and the tag writing on the neighbors fences.
I knew this place was not the greatest, but it was better than what we previously had. My mother
always knew how to make the best of things, so she and my stepfather decided to refurbish the
entire apartment. The best part about it was that we did it with our very own hands. Everything was
perfect. The tiles by the door, kitchen, and dining room were white with a splash of peach and gray.
The granite stone on the kitchen counter top matched perfectly with the tiles. The carpet and
couches were replaced to make the place look brighter and full of life. The wood on the wall
touching only the living room was also replaced with glass to make the room look and feel larger
than it actually was. The rooms were nicely decorated with the same granite, tile, and carpet. My
room was full of dcor of all my childhood memories; stuffed animals, books, and school awards
were dispersed throughout the room. Though we only lived there for four years, I keep the
memories and love that home gave me deep in my heart.
At the time, I thought where I lived was awful. But now, seeing this little girl suffer with bricks

A Narrative Essay On A Fair
"What should we get on first when we get there?" asked Becky. "I don't know. How about we get on
the ferris wheel first, it looks super fun." said Lisa as they were riding in her mom's car on the way
to the fair. They were so excited to finally be able to go to the fair since last year they had to shut it
down early. "I wonder why they shut it down last year because it wasn't on the news. Everyone said
that it was because someone died." "Yes, that's exactly the reason it shut down, how did you not
know that?" Becky said. FInally they arrived at the fair and got out of the car. "Don't forget you
guys have about 6 hours here then meet me by the theater parking lot at 8:30. So have fun and watch
out for weirdos because you guys heard about what happened last year at the fair. Just be careful."
Lisa's mom said, "Don't do anything stupid," she said as she began to drive off. After that Becky and
Lisa went to go purchase their tickets for the fair. They began to get very excited as they were
walking closer and closer to the big rides, amazing smells of burritos and pizza, and people
screaming of joy. "Hurry up I want to get on the ferris wheel before the line gets super long. And we
have to get on the that one ride that spins diagonally. We have to do so many thing while we're here

Descriptive Essay On A Baby
I used to think that dolls were nothing except perfect little pieces of glass. I didn't really care for me
as much as my mother did, but soon enough...every look, every word, every sound started to run my
life.
It all started on September 11, 1962 on a sweet seemingly perfect day, there were no clouds to be
seen and I was sitting inside in my little black and gold chair that I got for my birthday. I would sit
in the chair and stare out the window waiting for my mama to get home. I sat there for at least for
ten minutes every day and then that is when mama would pull up in the driveway. I ran to the door
and stood there waiting for mama to walk through it. Mama opened the door and I ran straight
towards her and gave her the biggest hug I good.
"Hi, mama!" The little girl laughed
"Hey baby girl, mama got you a gift!" Mother smiled
"What is it mama?" The little girl giggled
"Close your eyes Rin." Mother whispered
I could hear mama grabbing something out of her bag and her heels on the hard wood floor walking
back towards me "click clack click clack".
"Okay, Baby girl open your eyes!" Mama Smiled
I opened my eyes and saw this cute doll that had a china face, porcelain skin, rosy cheeks, heart–
shaped lips, and big brown round eyes just like mine. I smiled and gave mama a bear hug this time.
"Thank you, mama!" Rin laughed
"Your welcome baby." Mama smiled
I went outside and started to play with my new doll. I named my doll Archer because she

Sweden's Alternate Ending
Sweden is sitting in a blue chair in his living room in Stockholm, he received the news from Iceland
well over an hour ago. Yet, he still can't make himself stand up. He just stares down at his hands and
lets out slow, shaky breathes. He is trying to figure out what has just happened. He never would
have been too surprised to find out a country has committed suicide, what will all the wars and
everything else, but Denmark? He couldn't even begin to think why. He–, he can't help but blame
himself. Sweden thinks of the past they shared and he wishes he could have changed it, he realizes

His own fucking brother was dying inside all while keeping that stupid, stupid smile on his face. It
was their job to be there for each other and he failed Denmark. What kind of brother didn't notice
something as big as suicide clearly written on someone's face. Sweden doesn't deserve to call
himself Denmark's brother. He gets the sudden urge to rip his hair out or slam his head into the
counter, every single memory is playing in his head, every time he's screwed up, every fight
between him and Denmark, they are all playing and he can't make them stop. He slides down the
wall and slumps over, his head is in his hands, angry tears slid down his face, he knows it's his fault.
He is so stupid. 'Why did I just brush him off' he can't help but think and soon Denmark's last words
are playing over and over in his head, "Sweden, I just want you to know this is the last time I'm
calling," God, he was so stupid, how could he not understand that. Maybe, that was the reason he
couldn't grab the keys off the hook, he was suppose to grab them yesterday, the second after he
heard Denmark's words. He notices he is now fully crying, his cheeks have stream marks from the
tears, and his head throbs almost as loud as his heart

Summary Of ' The Unicorn ' By Dr. Wright
Jayna burst into the clearing on the back of the unicorn. Chaos recognized her immediately.
"You!"
Jayna demanded, "Let them go evil thing!"
She was a little disappointed her voice was back to normal, her goddess voice was much more
intimidating. Her heart thumped so hard with fear that she thought it would bruise her ribs.
"You 're the easiest of all," said the black thing in a voice she recognized. It was Dr. Wright 's.
Already Wright 's body was being deformed by the being that cohabited it, but when Jayna pulled
out her glowing sword, there was enough of him left that she recognized him. She shuddered when
she realized this would have been her fate if that thing was still inside of her. The thing extended its
hand in her direction and black tendrils rose up out of the ground and wrapped around the unicorn 's
legs. Then Jayna 's world faded away and she woke up in another.
Elmer was lost in the dark, he couldn 't keep up with Jayna and now Chaos had obscured his vision.
He had no choice now, he pulled his hat down over his third eye and headed back to the others.
Shaddrack saw his reflection in the glass shelf behind the counter, he was dismayed to see he was an
old man again. Older even than the man who had failed the first time around. There was nothing to

A Family Of Five Were The First Group Shot
A family of five were in the first group shot. A gray–haired elderly woman cradled a baby. The child
couldn't have been more than three months old. She was singing and tickling the little one to keep
her from crying. The baby cooed with delight. Everyone was standing around with tears in their
eyes.
A father holding the hand of his six–year–old spoke softly to him. The boy wept from fear. His
father stroked the boy's head and pointed to the skies. It was as though he was explaining something
to him. The machine guns opened up. They and others fell backward into the dry riverbed.
There was an elderly frail snow–white haired woman. Others helped her undress to the shouts of the
insurgent's to hurry up. Two young women helped carry her to her place in line in front of the
makeshift grave.
A young couple held each other tightly. Their wedding day was the following weekend. Looking
into each other's eyes, the man spoke tenderly to her. He told her about how their families had
arranged a nearby hotel for their honeymoon. Now they lay together in a cold, uncaring hollow in
the ground. About thirty people at a time they led to the slaughter.
When the little girl's turn, came. As she made her way to the pit, she saw a mound of bodies tightly
wedged together. In the distance, she heard screams from other people being killed a little way
away. The terrorists dragged their blood covered bodies over to the riverbed and dumped them in on
top of the others.

The Struggles I 've Had With My Name
The Struggles I've Had With My Name
I love my name. I haven't met one person in my whole life with the same name as mine. Just like
most of the kids from my religion, my name has a meaning that I can be proud of. My name,
Gurrose, means God's rose.
When I was born, my grandma and my dad wanted to name me Reea (some old indian actress I
think). My mom suggested the name Gurrose. My grandparents liked it, but they also had their pride
so they didn't let go of Reea. They ended up naming me Reea Gurrose Kaur Gahla (although Reea
was a part of my name, everyone called me Gurrose). Then, 3 years later, we came to Canada and
although my name was beautiful, a lot of people had trouble pronouncing it.
The first incident I remember regarding my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The average little diva I would say. On the camp counselor's suggestion, I asked the girl if I could be
her friend. She said sure and introduced herself. Then she asked me what my name was.
At the time, I didn't know that people would pronounce it wrong so I told her that it was Gurrose. Of
course she didn't get it so I kept repeating it and trying to explain how to pronounce it.
At one point, she blurted out and laughed, "Gross? Your name is gross? That's disgusting!"
I didn't really think much of it and just shrugged it off. I knew that she wasn't actually trying to
make fun of me and that it was only pure childhood innocence. She never actually apologized about
it but I didn't expect her too. Even though I merely just shrugged it off, I think the comment did
afflict my confidence a little bit. It was like a piece of confidence stripped away and replaced by
self–consciousness. And that was only the beginning of it.
Kindergarten came a month later. I met my very first best friend there, Jenna. Sadly we lost touch
when I moved to Barrhaven. Anyway, my classmates were nice and didn't tease me or make a joke
about my name at all. However, they were still saying it wrong and I was aware of that. For
whatever reason I didn't attempt to correct them, I don't know, but I do know that it was taking away
my confidence little by little. I was becoming more reluctant to tell people my full name. Finally,
one day I decided to do something about

What Is A Story To Write A Short Story
"Momma look!" This little girl was standing on hill, the wind blowing her dress and hair in all
different directions. This was the perfect time to do what she loved; fly her kite. "Good job sweetie,"
the mom replied. Her mom was sitting a distance away under an umbrella to keep the wind out of

above her head, she was in a state of pure happiness, thankful for something to do after the rainy
days. All of a sudden a giant gust of wind blew to hard for her seven year old hand to hold. Her kite
blew far across the rolling hills ahead of her. "Nooo!" She exclaimed in alarm. Her mom barley took
a glance at her daughter and kept her face buried in the book and her body faced away from her. The
little girl glanced around and didn't see anyone who might see her run after it. So she took off in her
bare feet, running towards the woods where she saw it fly. The little girl stopped at the beginning of
woods filled with thick trees and many leaves that had fallen to the ground sopping wet from all the
puddles. She took one step and then another. She got a bout a half a mile in when she could no
longer see the exit to this dense forest. It's like the trees moved so she couldn't see. The sky kept

We All Fall Down And The Permission Of Marina Mcduff
We all fall down

When Sarah's aunt told me this story I thought she was being silly. A long time ago Jane had a new
baby, a new house, and no husband. She was lucky when her sister Eloise offered to come stay with
her and help out, until her husband returned from working in Alberta. The sisters had almost
finished unpacking, but Eloise found one small box, labeled "for the baby," that sat alone in the dark
hallway.
"Jane, what's in here?" Eloise asked.
"I can't remember," Jane said, looking at the label. "Kate's got so much stuff. Open it, and have a
look."
Eloise got a knife and carefully sliced through the red packing tape, and lifted the box's lid. Inside

"Jane did you put on one of the tapes?"
No one answered her.
Eloise figured Jane had already gone back to bed. She crept into the room, and looked around for
the tape player. The music had already stopped, but Eloise looked around the room anyway.
Kate looked like a cherub asleep in her cot. Black curls fanned her pillow, and Kate pursed her lips
together in a little frown.
"I know," said Eloise, stroking Kate's cheek with her finger. "It's cold, but we'll get that sorted."
Eloise pulled a blanket off a chair, and lovingly covered her niece with it. She then went back to her
own room, and promptly fell asleep.
The next morning Eloise sat with her sister, while Jane fed the baby pureed carrots. Kate resembled
a jack–o–lantern, her face was caked in orange and she was smiling naughtily.
"Jane, did you put on one of the tapes last night?" Eloise asked.
"No, why?"
"I thought I heard music last night."
"You must have been dreaming," smiled Jane. "I wish I slept that well."
"I must have been, I thought I heard a little girl singing."
"Well, I generally prefer more adult dreams, but I guess any good dream will do. I only get pockets
of sleep these days."
"It didn't feel like a good dream," Eloise said.
"Was the little girl trying to kill you?" Jane teased, wiping the baby's mouth with a cloth.
"No, but it sounded odd. Too pretty."
"Well at least the kid wasn't crying," Jane said.
"Yeah," Eloise said, biting her bottom lip.

Neverland Research Paper
In today's society, there is a persistent belief that children and adults are fundamentally different.
Society has placed a gap between both generations that is evident throughout movies and children's
literature. In J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan and L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables, binary
oppositions come into play regarding childhood and adulthood, specifically the difference in
imagination and reality. This binary opposition is expressed greatly among the characters in both
novels. The children are introduced as possessing a wide range of imagination, however as the novel
progress, as do their age, their imagination gradually diminishes to a more realistic view of life.
The adults focus on the reality of life, so much so, that they do ... Show more content on

Since she is introduced in the novel as a young girl, she does not have many responsibilities and,
therefore, has time to reimagine her reality into something she desires. When Anne first arrives at
Green Gables she renames the avenue to the White Way of Delight, the lake to the Lake of Shining
Waters, and even her name to Cordelia, because these new names, according to her, give them
justice. "'Oh, I don't like that name, either. I shall call it–let me see–the Lake of Shining Waters. Yes,
that is the right name for it." (Montgomery 23) Anne also reimagines her religious belief to suit her
spiritual needs. When Marilla asked her to recite a prayer, Anne relied on her imagination alone to
create a prayer that will suit Marilla's prayer guidelines. Anne's version can be considered
untraditional because she imagines her prayers rather than memorizing them like Marilla did.
'Gracious heavenly Father, I thank Thee for the White Way of Delight and the Lake of Shining

Lizzy Biography
Lizzy
When I was 12 I dreamed of becoming the world's best doctor, me Dr. Warren Price, the one man
who could save all of humanity from their own minds. Such things have been accomplished before,
not by me, of course but by Dr. Henry Cotton. He has always been one of my biggest inspirations
ever since I learned what a doctor was. I want to be just like him, do everything that he did but
better. Let me backtrack a little to let everything soak in. Back in 2010 I became the main doctor at a
small hospital in a little town named Geelong off the coast of Melbourne Victoria, Australia. This
particular hospital has always been known in the area as "The Crazy House".I personally like to
think of it more as an "Experimental Hospital". When I started ... Show more content on

one hand she wields a knife that looks like it is from the kitchen portion of my room. In the other
she holds a heart that seems to still barely be beating. Shaking my head I back away to try and
escape but before I can make it to the door Lizzy lunges at me and before I realize it there is a knife

Edward Snowden Research Paper
Edward Snowden: Villain or Hero? "You can't have 100% security and then also have 100% privacy
and zero inconvenience. Society had to make choices" said President Obama. It has become a given
in society that it is on the government's agenda to procure its nation's safety in exchange of the
privacy or freedom of the people. Edward Snowden, a paladin of social justice, has now come to
light with outstanding facts as for what specifically it is that the National Security Agency (NSA) is
able and willing to do for the country's sake. Snowden, a 29–year–old NSA ex–employee, worked

A Short Story : The Story Of The Story?
Early in the morning, a little boy was playing in the sand. In the market, a little girl was running
around, slipping through people and pick pocketing them. They were both around the age of 9. The
girl was wearing a dirty white dress that went down to her ankles with no shoes on; her hair was
long and was a golden color like the sun. She sneaked out before anyone realized they were being
robbed and ran towards the beach. He did not see the girl who was coming up behind with a wooden
sword in her tiny hand.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!" screamed the little girl who was charging at the boy with a wooden sword in her
hand.
"You shall not hurt my kingdom." the boy said and grabbed his own wooden sword; then the two
started a duel. The little girl tripped and fell backwards and the little boy pointed his sword at her.
"Do you surrender?" asked Killian.
"Never..." said the girl. Killian dramatically stabbed the girl.
"Why are you not in the market today?" said Killian as he helped the girl up and they picked the
swords up. She ran in front of him and showed him bag full of coins and jewelry.
"Wow...Felicity you got a lot." said Killian who started going through the bag and saw a pretty
necklace and gave it to her.
"You should wear it."
"Can you help me?" she pulled her hair away and smiled as Killian put it on. She turned around and
hugged him, but then they heard someone coming.
"KILLIAN! Where are you boy?!" yelled an older man.
"Who is that?" Felicity whispered scared.
"It's my papa. I'll be right back...Papa! I'm right here." Killian ran towards him. That was the last
time Felicity saw her friend... Felicity went back to were she lived which was a little shack on the
top of a hill.
"Papa? I am home...Papa? Papa!!" she saw her father lying on the dirt ground him laying in his own
pool of blood.
"No...Papa..." she cried and ran to get help.

During the past 12 years, Felicity pick pocketed and worked at the tavern and it was a lot. She still

A Short Story Of Janina Revealed: A Narrative Fiction
Janina laid on the ground, next to the corpse of a Wizard who was barely twenty. There was a small
bullet–hole in the stomach of the dead boy, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. He
seemed small and vulnerable in death, with a puddle of dark blood beneath him. His clothes were
damp with his own blood, and the ends of his hair were slick with it. Janina could not be bothered to
move. Her left arm was bent at a position that seemed physically impossible, yet there it was. When
the guard broke it she had screamed, but now it throbbed, the pain as much a part of her as anything
else. She stared at the sky above her, for there was nothing else to look at. Janina had gazed at the
dead boy for an hour, but it had hurt more than arm. Corpses littered the field. After the magic left,
her soldiers had been slaughtered. With little weapons beyond their own abilities, they had been
defenseless. Janina also ignored the large gash across her stomach. She remembered its occurrence
vividly, though. It played over and over in her mind, overlapping her peaceful vision of the rising
sun. She had been pushing through the throes of warring people, desperate to reach that concrete
castle on the hill. The smell of blood had boiled in her nose, hot and steamy in the cold night, dark

rescuing they do. Additionally, I would also recommend to young teenagers about 13–15 who are
looking for a good book series to read. That way they would have books to read for a couple months
or so without stressing about finding a book. Finally, I would recommend this book to anyone who
has previously read any Percy Jackson books. This is because they are a little similar but different
when it comes to powers and adventures. That is who I would recommend this book too. I rate this
book a 10 because of the way it was written. Each page would have more and more details about
that part in the book. If they were in a cell, they would describe the cell. Another thing i really liked
about this book is how intriguing it was. When I reading one page it was so interesting I would want
to read the next on,then the next one, then the next one, then the I flipped the last page. The book
was so good i finished it in two days. This is why I would definitely rate this book a

Sparkly Tutu Essay
A Girl in a Sparkly Tutu "When I grow up I am going to be a ballerina, truck driver, who rides a
motorcycle," shouted the small girl in a bright pink tutu under the scorching lights at her
Kindergarten graduation. I was this small girl and I have always been the child who wanted to break

Ch.1
In a small village, far far way from here. There was a little girl named Azazel, who was going
through the worst hair day you could ever imagine. As she brushes and brushes her hair more and
more gets caught and tangled in her brush. So she flings it out her window in anger.
"Azazel, your mother grows weaker by the day, come say goodbye for I fear this is the end."
Her father says as he walks into the room and stands behind her
"Yikes. That's some head of hair you have there, you had better fix that before you go outside."
He continued as Azazel continued to fiddle with the tangle of hair on her cowlicked head. She goes
to visit her mother down the hall for what is supposedly the final time. Ch.2
Azazel's mother lays in her sick bed, dying from makeup poisoning. Azazel rushed to her mother
side. When her mother spotted the mess of her child her eyes widened in surprise,
"My child, my dear precious Azazel. You're such a mess. I have something that will help you, oh
dear... but it will be quite a quest."
The mother states wearily,
"Oh please mommy I'll do anything to look better on your last look of me."
Azazel exclaims excitedly at the prospect of taming her hair for her mother's final breath.
"Very well, you need to find the diamond hair tie, the silver hair spray, and the golden bobby pins.
Find the wise woman in the forest of fears to get the bobby pins, she will tell you where to go next."

Analysis Of The Story ' The Little Girl '
Cynthia was born on October 28, 1998: she has one older brother, afterwards a younger brother, and
then a sister came along. One may say the little girl was lucky to be born to two parents who loved
her very much to the point she was spoiled with endless gifts. The little girl was a gift from the
heavens, her parents thought since she inherited their traits and did not have the typical Mexican,
India looks. She had smooth porcelain white skin with pink blush on her cheeks, she had the most
beautiful thickest and darkest hair, her eyes were big and round they were chocolate brown. Her
eyelashes were naturally curly and black. Even the name place on her, Cynthia, meant the goddess
of the moon, it was as though the name was placed on her by faith. One may say this little girl was a
beautiful, gorgeous doll because she was treated like one. Her parents dressed her with the most
beautiful dresses and at a young age she learned how to walk in heels. Everyone would stop and
stare at this little girl to compliment her beauty, she even received modeling jobs. She was treated as
a Purépecha princess in which Purépecha was an empire that was the rival of the Aztecs in
Michocan, Mexico. As the little girl grew older and began to understand more things, she realized
soon enough, that everyone liked her for her appearance not for who she is. But, she also loved and
adored the attention she was getting from everyone, so she played the part of the doll. As a result,

Alaska Team Support
This year I was involved in numerous activities in support of the Booz Allen in Alaska. My three
primary areas of involvement were in the Junior Achievement program, the Air Force Airman
Financial Literacy program and in support of the Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson Wounded
Warrior rodeo. In addition to this, I also participated in the local Fun Times activities with the rest of
the Booz Allen team in Alaska.
I volunteered as a mentor and presenter to a local high school with Junior Achievement. I combined
my academic, military and business background in a program for high school to motivate and
encourage excellence in accordance with this program which focuses on developing leadership in
business amongst our youth.
I was also asked again this year to participate in the Air Force's financial literacy program. It is very
rewarding to see Air Force members who return to the program and share their stories of how they
have put the lessons they learned in the program to you. Majority of the participants in the program

of simple financial skills.

Farewell, My Darling Lua
–Lua– Prologue ––– Lua, my dear Lua. I wish I could be here with you now, but you will never see
me again. Do you remember the bad–men I told you about? Once you have read this letter, they will
have killed me. Please cherish this letter but, sadly, you will not remember me. Take this tablet, and
keep it safe. Make sure no one ever finds it. I love you, my darling son. Farewell. I will be watching

When all others would call him by another, he still remembered Lua. Kanalorla, that was the name
given to him, wasn't it? That was his name. Prince Kanalorla of Cadirawyn. Lua sat hugging one
knee to his chest as he passed the small, bronze tablet between his slender fingers. He stared intently
at the intricate designs that circled the edges of the rounded disk. He wondered what each symbol
meant. They were all different and all beautiful. Some looked like a raging fire, consuming
everything in its path; while some looked like a gentle breeze, delicately drifting through the air. He
could never fathom the meaning of this pointless slice of metal. The small boy held an age–worn
paper between his fingers of his other hand. This paper held the letter from a woman he knew only
as Mother. Whether or not this stranger was in fact his real mother, he did not know. No one seemed
to know who his mother was. Not even his half–sister, Dirala, knew the birthmother of her half–

My Best Friend
I knew something was wrong the summer my best friend walked through me. Katie was like any
other normal eight year old. She loved princesses, castles, and had an imagination like I had never
experienced. Katie and I had been friends since she was two years old and had always been
inseparable. Everywhere Katie went, I went. Our friendship was one of perfection, filled with
elegant tea parties, heroic missions, and sleepy bedtime ballads. Katie was my everything and I was
hers, at least until that day on the playground. It was a hot summer day in the middle of July and
Katie's nana said that it would do us all some good if we went down to the neighborhood park and
get some fresh air. Of course Katie and I were super excited, going to the park meant that we could
play on the big playground equipment. We all got into the car and after Katie was all buckled up in
her car seat, off we drove to the park. On the way there, Katie and I started talking about all the
things we wanted to play when we got to the park.
"I can't wait 'till we get there and we can play pirates. You be the first mate and I'll be the Captain",
Katie said jumping up and down in her car seat.
"Aargh", I said as I put my hand over my eye making a pirate eye patch.
Katie squealed with laughter which I had found was quite contagious, so I too started to laugh.
Once we pulled up to the park, Katie's nana opened the door and helped Katie out. I guess Katie's
nana forgot that I was in the car too because she

Symbolism In The Lost Thing By Shaun Tan
Within Shaun Tan's picture books 'The Red Tree' and 'The Lost Thing', surrealism is utilised to
deliver the themes of hope and rejection. Visual techniques and extended metaphors aid in the
transmission of these themes. Symbolism, colour, positioning, drawing styles, and cultural
referencing are techniques used to convey the messages. Tan utilises these techniques to help the
reader realise, and interpret, for themselves the overarching messages within in the picture books.
Throughout Shaun Tans surrealist picture books 'The Lost Thing' and 'The Red Tree' the overarching
theme of hope is explored. Both books implement symbolism and positioning to reveal the extended
metaphor of hope. In 'The Red Tree' Tan uses the symbol of a red leaf on every page to represent
hope, similarly, 'The Lost Thing' has the symbol of a white, curvy arrow on almost every page to
also symbolise hope. Tan uses the red leaf as a metaphor to the reader that hope is always present,
even if sometimes the person cannot see it at that moment. This is represented in the 'nobody
understands' picture where the little girl is seen in a glass bottle with a diving helmet on, the red leaf
is positioned behind her and she cannot see it; Tan also makes the leaf a darker tone so it blends in
with the background, further emphasising the notion of hope not always being noticeable.
Correspondingly, in 'The Lost Thing' the symbol of the white arrow is found on almost every page,
however, the protagonists do not

and what does he understand about himself? Support your answer with evidence from the text.
The creature learns that he is wretched, helpless, and alone. He understands that he is similar to
Adam. "Like Adam, I was apparently united by no link to any other being in existence." (Shelley,
118)
Why does the creature claim that Satan was better off than him?
The creature claims that Satan was better off than him because Satan had fellow devils and admirers
while the creature does not.
What does the creature decide he will do with the family in the cottage? Why does he think that he
will be successful? Support your answer with evidence from the text.
The creature decided that he will meet De Lacey when others are not around. He believes that he
will be successful because De Lacey is blind and won't react the same as others. "I revolved many
projects, but that on which I finally fixed was to enter the dwelling when the blind old man should
be alone." (Shelley, 121)
How does the creature's meeting with De Lacey turn out? How do Felix and Agatha react to the
creature, and why do you think the creature responds to them the way he does?
The creature's meeting with De Lace turned out well. Felix reacted by attacking him and Agatha
fainted. The creature reacts by leaving the cottage because he respects the family.

An Essay On The Senses

  • 1. An Essay On The Senses The senses Kellymae, was in fact, no normal girl. I guess you can say that she had some sort of "gift". However, she didn't necessarily like this "gift", she was always picked on as a kid for it. Even by her aunts and uncles, they always told her to knock it off, that 'it's not funny, stop with these childish games'. But she knew these things weren't funny, heck, she didn't ask to be able to see them. If it was her choice, she wouldn't ever want this– this stupid, stupid gift. She first realized her sixth sense, as she called it, when she was five. Her guardian, who was her aunt, let her play outside with some neighbors. Kellymae saw a little girl, about her age standing behind a tree, peeking at them. She had long black hair that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... " 'Miki'? That's such a cute name!" Kelly said excitedly, "It fits you well too! I have to go now, I'll see you tomorrow Miki!" She never got to though, her Aunt telling her she had to move in with another family, like she always did. But moving wasn't the issue, the issue was that she never got to say bye to Miki, the little girl in the pink sweater. Kellymae moved out of her aunt's house that following night, and didn't get to see Miki or the others again. Instead, she moved in with a childless couple into a whole different city. The couple was very sweet and loving, unlike anything she got from her actual family. Kellymae was scared though, what if they figured out she could see things ordinary people couldn't? Would they abandon her just like the rest of her family? She decided from then on, she wouldn't let them know of her gift. Now, as Kellymae enters her first year of high school, friends is a much more foreign word to her. Seeming as she hasn't had one for so long, the only things that actually talked to her were the spirits, though, she was irritated whenever they did. Speaking of spirits, there was one currently sitting on her teacher's shoulder, like it belonged there. She gave it an irritated look and sat in the back of the classroom, by the windows. The teacher introduced herself to the class and then took roll. When calling out roll, Kellymae heard a familiar name, like she ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Legend Of Lillianna "Daddy it's you! It's really you? I love you with all of my heart!" A beautiful girl cried to a tiny, colorful butterfly. Once upon time in the mystical location of Fiji, there was a young girl named Lilianna. Lilianna was a talented girl with great creativity. She would imagine all sorts of different lands she had never been to, and their people she hadn't met. From all the things that she remembered about her past, she could never remember a summer where she wasn't alone. Summer was her favorite time of year, and she was never greeted by anyone to spend it with. The true family of this young girl had never been around in Lilianna's life. Poor Lilianna just traveled the magnificent island alone with no one to protect her from the madness ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Her father played a huge role in her life when she was just a small toddler. Her cared for her immensely as if she was an expensive, polished diamond that he had just bought to propose to his wife with. Lilianna remembered specifically that her father was apart of the national Fiji military that was sent to fight off arriving pirates. She remembered with great recollection all the memorable times she spent with her father as a toddler, playing in the mud and running around the house. They used to have so much fun together until he went away. Lilianna had never met her mother, so here father was the only person she ever knew. Her dad didn't want to leave her in order to go into the military, but that was his only way of income. Her father left her behind, but he knew that she was going to be able to survive on her own. All of a sudden, she made direct eye contact with the butterfly. In a split second, the butterfly rested upon the young girl's shoulder. It was her father. "Daddy it's you! It's really you? I love you with all of my heart!" A beautiful girl cried to a tiny, colorful butterfly. "I'll never call you West again!" She laughed as tears rolled down her rosy cheeks. From that summer on, Lilianna was never alone. Her strong father figure was constantly by her side, only in the form of a butterfly. Her father was always protecting her from that day forward. • 3. Essay on Alfred Hitchcock's Control Of What We See in Rear... Alfred Hitchcock's Control Of What We See in Rear Window Alfred Hitchcock controls what we see in the film by firstly controlling what the camera shows, he adds small details to the film to provide reasons for various events happening, he also uses each of the characters to convey a message to the public, includes some short but effective shots of some of the characters to stir certain feelings within the audience, uses light humour and sometimes uses only visual aids to show people what is going on in the film. Hitchcock controls what we see in the film by using the camera to show only what he wants us to see, and shows us the scenarios from the eyes of L.B Jeffries the photographer, his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The small gap which enables Jeffries to look at a small section of the main street is used so that Jeffries sees various events (e.g Thorwald going and coming out of his flat with his suitcase at two o'clock in the morning) and so that people can communicate with him (e.g Stella using hand gestures to tell Jeffries that she didn't manage to catch up with the van) However Hitchcock has used several details such as Jeffries camera, the gap and the distance from his flat to the gap to disable from Jeffries communicating to anyone, and he can only be signalled to and has little control over the situation. The Director has even inserted little details in the layout of the flat, such as the stairs, which prohibit him from going out. In the film Jeffries is a magazine photographer (He broke his leg by taking a photo of a moving racing car while standing right in front of it) this means that he has equipment such as cameras that can zoom in. This is Hitchcock's way of showing the audience only what he wants to. We ate a almost peaceful breakfast besides Scarlett singing Jack and Jill fell down a hill the WHOLE time, I don't know what is wrong with her. Mama said that it was a little girl who died in the paper. Mama said she had been kidnapped. Mama said by a bad man a very bad man. I wanted to have a sleepover with five girls from school, they said that we couldn't fit five other girls in our apartment. I lashed out at them, throwing a full– fledged tantrum, and then I left. Marched out of the door, ignoring their calls for me to come back. My plan was to spend the night at my grandparents house and go back in the morning. It was a short walk, only four blocks to my grandparents, but I didn't make it. On the second block the light was about to turn red. I convinced myself I could make it and ran out into the middle of the street, only to get struck by a car. Funny, I don't even remember dying. I don't remember what it felt like, or if I saw God waiting for me. As soon as the car hit me, my eyes closed, only to be snapped open a few seconds later. But I was no longer in the street, I was in my favorite park. I looked down to see my wrinkled t–shirt and jeans had been replaced with a long, flowy white dress. I felt odd, almost hollow. I broke out into a sprint, and ran in the direction of my house, but when I reached the front gate of the park, I was thrown backwards by an invisible force. My mother always knew how to make the best of things, so she and my stepfather decided to refurbish the entire apartment. The best part about it was that we did it with our very own hands. Everything was perfect. The tiles by the door, kitchen, and dining room were white with a splash of peach and gray. The granite stone on the kitchen counter top matched perfectly with the tiles. The carpet and couches were replaced to make the place look brighter and full of life. The wood on the wall touching only the living room was also replaced with glass to make the room look and feel larger than it actually was. • 18. Neverland Research Paper In today's society, there is a persistent belief that children and adults are fundamentally different. Society has placed a gap between both generations that is evident throughout movies and children's literature. In J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan and L.M. This binary opposition is expressed greatly among the characters in both novels. When the guard broke it she had screamed, but now it throbbed, the pain as much a part of her as anything else. She stared at the sky above her, for there was nothing else to look at. Janina had gazed at the dead boy for an hour, but it had hurt more than arm. Corpses littered the field. After the magic left, her soldiers had been slaughtered. With little weapons beyond their own abilities, they had been defenseless. Janina also ignored the large gash across her stomach. She remembered its occurrence vividly, though. It played over and over in her mind, overlapping her peaceful vision of the rising sun. She had been pushing through the throes of warring people, desperate to reach that concrete castle on the hill. Finally, I would recommend this book to anyone who has previously read any Percy Jackson books. This is because they are a little similar but different when it comes to powers and adventures. That is who I would recommend this book too. I rate this book a 10 because of the way it was written. Each page would have more and more details about that part in the book. If they were in a cell, they would describe the cell. Another thing i really liked about this book is how intriguing it was. • 39. Symbolism In The Lost Thing By Shaun Tan Within Shaun Tan's picture books 'The Red Tree' and 'The Lost Thing', surrealism is utilised to deliver the themes of hope and rejection. Visual techniques and extended metaphors aid in the transmission of these themes. Symbolism, colour, positioning, drawing styles, and cultural referencing are techniques used to convey the messages. Tan utilises these techniques to help the reader realise, and interpret, for themselves the overarching messages within in the picture books. Throughout Shaun Tans surrealist picture books 'The Lost Thing' and 'The Red Tree' the overarching theme of hope is explored. Both books implement symbolism and positioning to reveal the extended metaphor of hope. In 'The Red Tree' Tan uses the symbol of a red leaf on every page to represent hope, similarly, 'The Lost Thing' has the symbol of a white, curvy arrow on almost every page to also symbolise hope. Tan uses the red leaf as a metaphor to the reader that hope is always present, even if sometimes the person cannot see it at that moment. This is represented in the 'nobody understands' picture where the little girl is seen in a glass bottle with a diving helmet on, the red leaf is positioned behind her and she cannot see it; Tan also makes the leaf a darker tone so it blends in with the background, further emphasising the notion of hope not always being noticeable. Correspondingly, in 'The Lost Thing' the symbol of the white arrow is found on almost every page, however, the protagonists do not ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
