Introduction to Interaction Design Course 2017 (5 ECTS)
1.
2. Interaction Design
Interaction design means “designing
interactive products to support the way
people communicate and interact in
their everyday and working lives”
(Rogers, Sharp and Preece, 2015)
The students will be facilitated:
0 to exercise a process to design and/or
develop (prototype of ) an interactive
product. The process is rooted to the
field of human-computer interaction.
0 to explore the professional
sectors/disciplines that are directly
associated with interactive digital
product development and skills
required to play different roles in
those disciplines.
0 to choose from different theories,
methods, digital/other tools and
techniques to design and/or develop
an interactive systems.

3. Outline
0 The module is centered around cooperation between relevant
stakeholders (users and designers) and design processes related
to learning and knowledge development, including in
organizational change processes.
0 The module focuses on design tools, methods and processes,
innovation, user, project management and technology
understanding and the development of concrete products in the
form of prototypes (low-fi mock-ups or hi-fi).
0 The module is organized as a continuous alternation between
theory and practice, the provision of courses in design methods
with a focus on innovation and creativity, participation and
project management, as well as science and research methods
associated with interaction design and digital production.
3
4. Goal
The student must achieve through the module :
1. Knowledge:
0 concepts, theories and models of interaction design,
including
0 design theory and design processes in relation to learning,
knowledge sharing, collaboration and knowledge
development,
0 user involvement in relation to learning, knowledge sharing,
collaboration and knowledge development,
0 innovation and creativity in relation to learning, knowledge
sharing, collaboration and knowledge development.
4
5. 2. Skills in
0 to make assessments and informed choices among the
module's scientific theories and methods,
0 ability to plan and design processes related to interaction
design,
0 to prepare for analysis and evaluate needs and identify relevant
issues.
3. Competencies:
0 the scientific level to analyze and evaluate the interaction
design process as a forward-looking study and collaboration
process with a view to maintaining an appropriate progression,
0 make choices about the design and redesign of interaction
design projects

0 Recorded using Moodle/Socrative, every class; will be considered
absent if missed.
0 Submission of three assignments with satisfactory level of
quality.
0 An individual Scrum Fundamentals Certified exam (#IDA 2) is
mandatory: content of session 13/2 (deadline 27/2)
0 The group assignment (#IDA 4) on design/prototype is
mandatory: Content of 6/3 (deadline 17/3)
0 Submit one group assignment from #IDA 1,3,5 (deadline 3/4).
0 See here for details

8. 0 If students assignments within the deadline and
attend the required lessons then they were allowed to
resubmit in case if the result is “not passed”.
0 If a student do not show up for lessons and do not
hand in all assignments, they have to write the 15-

Færdigheder i:
