WOZ Tornado Installation Instructions
Thank you for purchasing the WOZ Tornado from Mezelmods. For product or installation
help, please contact timmezel@gmail.com
Tools needed:
● ¼” nut driver or #2 Phillips Screwdriver
● Magnetic pickup tool (optional, but recommended)
1. With the power OFF, open coin door, remove lockdown bar, close coin door, and
remove playfield glass.
2. You now need to loosen the Munchkin miniplayfield. It only needs to come up a
bit to have room to fish the wire from the Twister down under the playfield. There
are three screws ‘under’ the spinning house. One Phillips head screw that the
player can view in the ‘front’ of the house, and then two ¼” hex head screws
under the house plastic. You can spin the front porch of the house around to
easily access the screws. A magnetic nut driver is recommended. You can see
an example in the following photo:
Or refer to page E-4 of the WOZ Manual for detailed instructions. Again, you do
not need to completely remove the mini-playfield, but can do so if you desire.

3. With the mini-playfield loose, you will now fish the Twister cable underneath the
mini-playfield by running it along the same cable bundle that runs to the Munchkin
hut lock mechanism, as shown here. Its a tight fit, but fairly simple. You can view
the whole through the ramp, just make sure the Twister cable is fairly flush and
does not block the path of the ball.

4. Next, move your playfield into ‘position 3’ as shown on page A-9 of the WOZ
manual. With the playfield all the way out, you can use your other hand to grab
the Twister cable underneath the playfield to ensure a nice fit.
5. Now attach the Twister with the two push rivets provided. Make sure to align the
twister in the correct direction, with the cables from the Twister coming out of the
rear in the provided channel. The heat shrink SHOULD NOT reach underneath the
Twister, but should come close to the edge of the actual base. Match up the holes
on the Twister to the two holes behind the spinning house, and simply push in the
push rivets. Use one of the black zip ties provided to bundle the Twister cable to
the Munchkin Hut cables.

6. You’re now ready to move underneath the playfield. Carefully, raise the playfield
to the ‘position 4’ with the playfield fully vertical, and the apron resting on the
front edge of the backbox.
7. Locate the connector that powers the spinning house motor. It is a four wire,
straight plug (as show in the following photo, with the purple wire exiting the right
side), and unplug it.

8. Install the provided harness between these connections. The fit should be firm
and it only works in one configuration. You can also attach the cable from the
Twister to the harness at this time. The pins may seem ‘loose’ in leading to the
Twister, but as long as they match up, and are firmly connected, they will not exit
the contact housing. You may have to wiggle this connection around a bit to find
a good fit before pushing the contacts together. You can now use the other wire
zip tie to tidy up any hanging wires. Shown below is the installed harness.
9. You can now turn your game on. During the boot-up sequence, the house should
spin and the Twister should light up! You can also run the spinning house device
test in the menus to make certain all connections are in good shape.
10. Replace the playfield, playfield glass and lockdown bar, and you’re done.
