3. Methods Workshop, individual and group work, performance
Materials The texts of the particular Litthuanian legends, puppets and
decorations.
Short description
Pupils of the grades 5 – 10 had the special classes on the
Lithuanian legends. Later each grade chose the legend they
liked the most, prepared the puppets and acted it out.
In such a way the pupils presented the legends about the
origin of the name of Katyciai village, Akmeniskiai hillfort, The
witches of the Rambynas hillfort, Jurate and Kastytis and Egle
– the queen of grass snakes. The pupils got in a personal
touch with the legends and tales becoming on of their
characters.
