Time Capsule Project
Time Capsule Project The motto I like to live up to is; Things happen, and that's life. Knowing this I
never really have a solid idea of my future. Of course I like to imagine my future and what college I
would go to, or what my apartment would look like, or even who I might end up with. But one tiny
thing could change a big aspect of life, and I'm okay with that. You definity control your life and
future even if you aren't aware of your actions affecting it. If I were to look three years into my
future many things would have probably changed. Even the slightest of dying my hair a bright color
to moving, anything. With the important influential people in my life, of friends and family, I see
differences to now. With friends comes the different classes or involved in different clubs. With
family it's different, new people might be welcomed, but the inner family right now will always stay
close. I hope for a strong bond with these people as life changes. Daily life is something constantly
changing. You can't always have the same routine every day, something a little different happens
each day. I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sadness is an emotion similar to a complicated math problem, it can be expressed and more than one
way and might have more than one answer. What makes me sad in my life now is the close minded
people who are so shut up in their own little world to understand anything that involves another
person's hardships. I'm sad for the people who are uneducated about emotions especially sadness,
but instead are told to suck it up and don't cry. I am sad for those who are sad, people who feel alone
and lost within the swirling thoughts that never seem to end, a constant whirlpool. People need to
know they have support and someone to talk to. In the future I hope for more awareness of these
difficulties that are sometimes ignored by the only people who can help

Who doesn't like buried treasure? Most young children attend a birthday party with a pirate theme at
some point during their childhood, and the search for buried treasure is usually the highlight. Time
capsules are an adult–like version of the pirate's treasure chest, and one is able to get a glimpse of
the past through real artifacts, or treasure, that someone thoughtfully prepared for future generations
to uncover. The items that are placed in the capsule are extraordinarily meaningful to the individual
who placed them there, and if one were to complete a capsule for a future community at Fox Lane
Middle School, it would be certain to hold critical technology, vital household items, and important
fads, since these items are thought to be necessities in the daily life of a middle school student today.

The refrigerator is so widely used, as it is estimated that ninety–nine percent of households in the
United States have one. The convenience of being able to store food that would otherwise rot makes
it critical to the health of the nation. Although some middle school students may think a computer is
more important than a refrigerator, it can be argued that a refrigerator is even more important, since
it can store food to keep one alive. Most middle school students predictably walk into their homes
after school and continue directly to the refrigerator to find something to eat. The microwave oven
teams up with the refrigerator perfectly because it allows people to warm up the their food that has
been kept fresh and cold, quickly and easily, and the oven can be safely used by children and young
adults. The microwave oven, similar to the refrigerator, is used in ninety–five percent of households

Freshmen Time Capsule Letter
I'm writing this letter to my future self for Ms. Meyers English class and to be placed into the
freshmen time capsule to open when I'm a senior. To begin with 1. Me now, I am obviously a
freshman in high school, I am in quarter two and am in wrestling season. I just went hunting over
the weekend, I shot my first buck, it's antler came off when it shot it. My home is just built and is
only 6 months old. My dog Dakota is still a little puppy who likes to bite and jump on me. I took a
unit test yesterday I feel I did really well, next it is the unit map test in World Geography. I don't
have an allowance, I just help out my parent when they need me to. I like to play video games in my
spare time. My hobbies are simple, sports, and lots of

Time Capsule Essay
In this essay, I will be writing and sharing the three items that I would have put into a time capsule.
These items will be used to help show future generations what I think are the things that would help
represent the twenty first century. Each item has a different meaning to me and others that use these
items. From the enjoyment of each item to the usefulness of the item.
One of my first items that I would put into the time capsule would be a video montage of the 2018
local car scenes and racing events that had taken place in Melbourne, Florida. Then, I would include
a collection of the different car scenes throughout the entire state of Florida. The reason why I want
to put this video in is because of how far we have come in the car industry, by not making as many
new vehicles, but by bringing old ones back, in a new way and starting new trends! From motor
modifications and race times to just designs that go with new and trending movies, shows, music
and iconic characters! The things that a car enthusiasts will do just to drive their car or trucks to a
meet or event can sometimes be amazing and inspirational to me. This is because it motivates people

device can make our everyday lives easier and better or just more enjoyable by driving, commuting
to work, going on a run, workouts, chores around the house or just for fun! Most can be used for
multiple things like gaming, music and recording. These, I am sure would be looked at like basic

Importance Of 3 Artifacts For A Time Capsule
Thank you for choosing our school to select three artifacts for a time capsule that will be taken to
Mars on the next Space Mission. Each ninth grade student has chosen three artifacts for the time
capsule. The three artifacts that I choose for future generations is a mobile phone, the American
penny, and the New York Times Newspaper. My first artifact that I choose was a mobile phone. I
choose a Mobile Phone because studies show that seventy percent of the world has mobile phones
therefor it was very significant to our time period. A mobile phone connects to a wireless
communications through radio waves. Most mobile phone provide voice communication, short

The Discovery of a Time Capsule
DISCOVERY OF A TIME CAPSULE DISCOVERY OF A TIME CAPSULE PEOPLE AND TIME
Time defines how people fashion, behave and live. On the other hand, there are a few times in
history that are shaped by famous personalities and known as 'their age'. 1960 was a major year in
the political history of America as we know through internet sources. Yet, the time capsule we
recently found shows us much more than that. It tells us things besides the stats and numbers. It tells
us about the thoughts, feelings and emotions of people as well as their culture. It cannot be said for
sure who buried the time capsule and for what purpose. The time capsule was safe enough to keep
the records for historical records. The time capsule we found had some interesting and some strange
items in it. It indicated about the social, political and technological situation of the country. ITEMS
IN TIME CAPSULE Back in history, there were not electric portable devices to keep track of
history. Only a few details could be saved in the form of writing or pictures. The videos were not of
good quality thus the technology was in making. The time capsule saved in 1960 that we found in
2325 contains following five items: 1.A love letter from one of early 3,500 American soldiers sent to
wage war on Vietnam: When the first troops moved to Vietnam, they only thing they knew was that
Vietnam is a communist country and the soldiers were entering war to save America. The war took

Time capsules help store items for people to come and get a piece of the past. In 100 years who
knows what life is going to emulate, everyone knows history repeats itself. By showing the people
of the future what mistakes happened in the past and the outcome that came from it, making crucial
decisions would have a better outcome. When the time capsule goes into the ground, it needs to
contain meaningful objects. Smartphones, magazines, and videos should travel to the future because
they have enormous impacts on today's society. Learning from the past will only perfect the future
and everyone in it.

Why I Want To Take A Time Capsule Essay
Putting objects in to a time capsule is actually a question that caused me to reach out to others and it
was a great conversation starter. I found myself wondering should I lean more towards Bowling
Green only memories or my personal memories. Then I realized in 100 years (depending on new
innovation in health care) I will probably be dead. Therefore, I decided to choose what will be
interesting to look at in 100 years by changes I think could happen in the future. This brings me to
my first object and that would be a small scrapbook of aerial and ground photos. Just in the next five
year Bowling Green has over 4 major construction and demolition projects planned. I would love for
someone to see a difference of the and now to know what the campus used to be like, because in 100
years who even know if the student union will still be the same building. I want pictures of
classrooms and student life to be incorporated to, because even right now laptops are ... Show more

It will probably be in cursive because I know they no longer teach this in schools anymore and I
want to show its importance. The diary would be nothing grand it may even just have what my daily
life would be. A simple memoir of how life can change just going through the motions even. I would
talk about how the atmosphere is, and how life as a student is. The challenge of technological
determinism and how people talk less, but still strive for communication. I want to focus on how
even within just 1–year society can shift. So that whoever may be reading (and if they read it) can
see that time is precious and ever changing. It's fast and constant. Who knows what will be
happening in 100 years. The main thing I want someone to know is that they should know that the
past matters, because it shaped the future. Also just for fun I think I would put a Twinkie in the time
capsule, because well I wonder if it will still be edible, and maybe someone would be

Renaissance Time Capsule
As part of my introduction to humanities class, I was required to probe for a concealed time capsule
from both the Renaissance and the Baroque ages. Thereafter, I was required to identify at least two
examples of art, music, architecture, philosophy, and literature depicted during the periods. By doing
so, I expected to identify how these examples reflected world events and cultural blueprints of their
periods. The Renaissance refers to the cultural transformations witnessed in Europe between the
fourteen–century and the sixteen–century (Cheremeteff, 2000). The transformations originated in
Italy before spreading to the other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another piece of art I would expect to unravel in the Renaissance time capsule is The Creation of
Man. Michelangelo created the art. The painting was done during the early 16th century
(Cheremeteff, 2000). The painting depicts the creation of man by God as portrayed in the book of
Genesis. The two pieces of art reflect about the world events and cultural patterns of their time. As
such, they had a significant impact on the Christians of the time. To date, the two arts are considered
the most imitated religious paintings of all time.
With respect to the age of Baroque, I expect to unravel The Inspiration of Saint Mathew and Christ
in the House of Mary and Martha. Caravaggio produced The Inspiration of Saint Matthew in the
early 17th century (Cheremeteff, 2000). Diego Velázquez produced the second art during the year
1618. The two arts reflect a lot about the religious and cultural settings of the age of Baroque. For
instance, Velázquez's art reflects the classic Baroque Christian fusion of Martha and Mary
Magdalene.
Music
Music refers to human activity characterized by prearranged and perceptible sounds. Although,
humans had practiced music for thousands of years it should be noted that during the two ages it
took a different direction (Friedell, 2008). In my quest to find classical music from the two time
capsules, I would expect to unravel musical sheets

A time capsule represents a culture in a bottle. And so, in order to create a relevant time capsule, this
class must ask the question; "What three facets of a society clearly represent its culture?" Because
archeology specializes in the deciphering of long–dead cultures, a look at archeology's perspective is
most beneficial in answering this question. A review of the archeological literature reveals three
topics consistently dominating the conversation. The technology, belief system, and pastimes
peculiar to a nation define its culture to observers viewing it from a future date. Therefore, a time
capsule to be opened in the year 2115 must include an artifact specific to the area of innovation, a
relic representative of America's dominant religion and the main contender, and something to
present a picture of popular entertainment. The smartphone presents itself as the obvious choice for

As the main religion, a relic of unembellished, mainstream Christianity deserves a spot in any time
capsule. Also, since America in form and function is now primarily secular, secular humanism
should provide part of this item. Audio recordings of a Southern Baptist minister and a vocal atheist,
such as Richard Dawkins, would supply the perfect relic. Because of the difficulty of acquiring a
playback mechanism for vocal mediums found in time capsules, the smartphones should carry them
as files. This raises another problem, however, a charging cable attached to a hand cranked generator
or similar method is necessary to preserve the information should the future lose today's technology.
In conclusion, the smartphones ought to include files which represent the current religious
landscape, and a method for perpetuating the files' life put in

We all know about time capsules, right? They've been portrayed in countless movies, T.V. series,
and books, always with a grand burial and an even grander exhumation. However, time capsules
aren't made just for kicks. The purpose of time capsules is to give the future historians a peek of
what the past was like. An alternative motive behind a time capsule could be to give your
descendants something to remember you by. If asked to make a time capsule, with the latter purpose
in mind, I'd want to use three objects that have unmistakable meanings to me. These three objects
would be a picture of my closest friends and me, the soccer cleat correspondent to my right foot, and
my guitar pick necklace. In the first item, a picture, I would stand alongside Jonathan, Isaac, Lorissa,
Giovanishka, Cristian, and Tainarie, since, as of now, these six people are who I consider my closest
friends. This item would represent the appreciation and love I have towards them. I consider the
picture a significant part of the time capsule since my friends are the people that never let me down.
They pick me up when I'm morose and depressive, and they help me overcome my obstacles. I can

What I Found in a Time Capsule in the Year 2325
It is the year 2325. I am a very prominent archaeologist who has just been summoned to a dig site
because my colleagues have made a unique discovery. They have found a time capsule from the
1960s that was buried long ago. Very carefully, my colleagues and I unearthed this time capsule, and
inside the time capsule we found five items that define the era of the 1960s. The very first item that
we found was a news paper clipping about the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy on
November 22, 1963. John F Kennedy, affectionately known by his family as Jack, and by the nation
as JFK; was the 35th president of the United States beginning in January 1961 up until November
1963 when he was tragically shot down during a motorcade in downtown Dallas Texas Dealey
Plaza. The President was beginning to work on his presidential campaign for the next term, he had
not officially made it known to the public but I have a feeling that many of the people just knew that
he would run again and possibly take the win. This was traumatizing for his wife Jacqueline, not
only because she witnessed his death, but because she very rarely went along with her husband on
campaigns. As the Lincoln Convertible drove by Texas school book depository Lee Harvey Oswald
allegedly fired three shots from the sixth floor, wounded President Kennedy and seriously wounding
the Governor. President JFK was pronounced dead thirty minutes, later at the Dallas Parkland
Hospital. JFK had many ideas in mind to help

Time Capsule History
In 1795 Paul Revere and Samuel Adams placed in the cornerstone of the Massachusetts Statehouse a
time capsule. It was a small box, an inch and a half deep and about half the size of a piece of printer
paper. Two–hundred and twenty years pass– neighborhoods are built, colleges, schools, churches;
the Civil War, and its draft riots, begin and end. Flight is conquered; the automatic rifle is invented–
the typewriter, telegraph, television, and the computer soon follow. Awash with war, the twentieth
century sees the fall of empires, large and small, and the development of the atomic bomb. The
Olympic Games, Watergate, Harry Potter, 9/11. Two and a quarter centuries after Revere and Adams

It must have caught the plumber by surprise to find a ten–pound time capsule from the first years of
the United States. Lodged tightly in stone, it took workers seven hours to remove the box, and
before a special ceremony held for the opening, another four to loosen the screws holding it fast.
Wearing protective gloves, members of the historical society found newspapers, coins, and even a
rectangular silver plate engraved by Revere himself inside the capsule. The contents of the box were
well preserved, and they provided a rare and candid glimpse at our not so distant past. The Samuel
Adams and Paul Revere Time Capsule is to this day the oldest time capsule to have been discovered
in the United States, and since 1795, certainly, the time capsule craze has exploded, and with good
reason.
People have always found the idea of time fascinating. "We all 'want to be here' in one way or
another" William E. Jarvis states in Time Capsules: A Cultural History. "That's why some of us (try
to) freeze ourselves alive to be thawed and revived in the era of our choice. That's why people
construct crypts, 'time bombs,' time capsules, and cornerstone deposits," he goes on to say. To some
degree, all people connect through a fascination with time. What will it be like in the future? What

The Time Capsule Found on the dead Plant. A story of a dead planet. Explaining how the planet was

will explore the reason behind why Margaret wrote the capsule in five sections, who she was talking
to, who she was writing as, the reason for money being personified, and the goal of the motif of
flight.
When you begin every story, anyone knows there will always be three common factors. A
beginning, a middle, and an end. No matter how complex the story. It is up to the author or poet to

The time capsule that I will create must be made out of red quartzite, similar to that of
Tutankhamen's sarcophagus, this material would be great because it can withstand heat and it would

my time capsule would be located inside a cave. This cave would have to be present in the Valley of

since flash flooding is a big problem in the dessert valley. Because there is only one possible
element to the box, the chances of remaining intact and withstanding the test of time would

Important Things To Put In A Time Capsule
People feel uncomfortable when the world changes, but if it is welcomed or not the world will
always keep moving. Such as when the internet was invented people had to adapt to a different form
of interaction and research via technology. That is why time capsules were made to hold tangible
memories of the past before the change happened. For example old newspapers, movies, and letters
can be stored in a time capsule. This makes it so Humans can get their hands on a little bit of history.
The three most important objects to put in a time capsule is a book, a PS4, and a American football.

The time capsule, an idea made into reality by humans, designed to contain artifacts or key items of
the present age to be eventually opened by people living a century later or longer. What is the entire
purpose of the time capsule in the first place? It can deliver a message to the society existing in the
subsequent era or give information on the unique events or conditions of the specific location for
knowledge intentions. The time capsule can also bring fun in the process of learning. Things like
compact discs and fancy gadgets would provide entertainment along with understanding. Some
interesting objects that a time capsule could contain would be cultural clothes, books to provide the
history and information of the place and people, and pictures of everyday life in the designated
location.
Placing cultural clothes for display in the time capsule would provide insight of the past practices
and ways of living to the forthcoming age. This way, the future suburban people could learn about
the past civilization. They could enjoy the feel of how earlier humans dressed and looked when

Gerald Holtom, . When the war started in 1954 no one thought it would go on as long as it had.

Malcolm X on the other hand wanted blacks to have more power than they did, he did not care about
equal rights as much as he wanted the black community to rise up into the powerful positions that
whites currently had at the time. Malcolm's approach to achieving his goals were not quite as
peaceful as MLK Jr. Malcolm X thought, along with others, that were members of the NOI that the
white man were keeping the African Americans, down by not letting them enjoy the same rights as
the whites. Malcolm "encouraged" his followers to rise above the oppression of the white world in
any way they could in order to gain what he felt they deserved. A newspaper from November 1963

near the book depository a shot was fired at the president's motorcade, sadly it struck the president
in the head. His wife was seated next to him, tragically he did not make it, and President Johnson

JFK's assassination. One of the major things that President Kennedy was known for was pushing the

The continuous struggle to break ground on new revolutionary creative practices has led artists
down unsuspecting paths, often subject to great controversy. Bioart has become a recent trend in
contemporary art circles; in collaboration with biologists, anthropologists etc it appropriates organic
mechanisms as a medium for art. This emerging field, provocative and inspiring, exposes technical,
procedural and ethical issues. Art has become an impetus to the nature – culture dichotomy and this
has never been as evident as it is today. Human and Earth systems have collided and fused, as a
result, a separation of the two is near impossible. Eduardo Kac, amongst others such as Stelarc or

102 Year Old Time Capsule Research Paper
On July 1st, 2017 workers in St.Louis were taking down a monument and while doing that they
discovered a 102–year old time capsule. I think it would be hard to figure out what to put in a time
capsule in the year 1915, but it did give a looking glass to the year 2017 about what was used before
all the technology and new gadgets. For me, fashion, FADS, and technology would best describe
what life was like in the 2000's. To best describe what our generation was like fashion, technology,
and FADS should be placed in a time capsule. For example, one of the fashion trends in 2016 mostly
names brands. Like a brand named 'Supreme'. Once famous YouTubers started to wear this clothing
brand, most teenagers have been wanting to get a headband or a shirt. Next, is of course 'Vineyard
Vines', this brand was worn by many because of their signature smiley whale with different prints
and designs.Lastly, is the name brand 'Lokai' mostly girls were obsessed with the fact that the

This is more towards the challenges that kids were obsessed with in the year 2016.The first example
is bottle flipping. Plastic water bottles were quickly banned from most schools, but that didn't stop
the crave Students soon started to use highlighters, crayons, and markers. And of course the
mannequin challenge is a favorite, it wasn't easy to stay still with all the laughter, but it was fun to
try and share with friends on social media. This challenge soon went viral and everybody like
celebrities, athletes, and even pets were getting in on the fun of staying still in a funny casual
position while someone films you. Finally, is the ice bucket challenge, this challenge was for a good
cause for ASL. The point would be to dump ice water over your body and then challenge someone if

HUM 102: Intro to the Humanities II
DATE
Introduction
Throughout time the humanities have evolved and proof of this evolution is seen in each of the
different concepts that humanities cover. There are several time capsules that are rumored to contain
pieces of some of the most influential art, music, architecture, philosophy, and literature in the
Renaissance and Baroque periods. To find these capsules would be to travel back in time and hold in
one's hands the true measure of what the humanities has accomplished during its evolution.
Art The Renaissance was perceived as a rebirth of ancient traditions. It breathed new life into the
artists of its time with the development of new techniques and new artistic ... Show more content on

He was known for the "order" within his work. He incorporated mathematical order into his
buildings and is well–known for the work he accomplished for the Cathedral of Florence. The
Architecture Time Capsule contains the document with the blessing from the cornerstone of this
great church. The Baroque style of architecture focused less on mathematical order and more on
boldness. Colonnades, domes, color effects, volume, and void are all concepts of the Baroque style
of architecture. The Piazza of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome is a great example of Baroque architecture
in its preference for the grandiose. It captures all of the concepts that dominated the Baroque style of
architecture and brings them together to create something that is visually stunning. The time capsule
contains a painting depicting the aerial view of the colonnade and piazza of St. Peter's. The piazza
was so large and spectacular that it could accommodate more than 250,000 people.
Philosophy Philosophy during the Renaissance was also about the rebirth of mankind. Renaissance
philosophy covered the rebirth of classical civilization and learning. Humanism, the effort to recover
and revive Greco–Roman culture, was introduced and the way people thought about and understood
their purpose in life was changed forever. Humanism led people back to the old programs of study
that embraced grammar, rhetoric, history, poetry, and moral philosophy. The Philosophy Time

When the mayor asked me to be in charge of what was going in to the time capsule, I was a little
nervous but really flattered that I would help represent an entire generation. On Thursday, April
15th, we met at the community park with neighbors, town officials, PTA moms, a group of high
school honors students, and two high school teachers. The mayor showed up while I was waiting
with the crowd, talking to my neighbor Beth. All attention turned to the mayor as he cleared his
throat, and he began to speak.
"Good afternoon, everyone. I hope you all are ready to get started with the time capsule! I would
like to introduce who will be in charge of the project and working with you all. This is Ms. Ariana
Drake." The mayor gestured to me, and I stepped forward. The crowds full attention turned towards
me as I smiled and waved.

After a few minutes of silence, someone in the crowd said "Phone?"
A few people nodded, so i shrugged and wrote down the idea. 'Why?" I asked.
Now clear who spoke, a woman in the middle of the crowd started speaking. "Well we invented
them, of course."
Someone else called out " A pamphlet about the recent election? Because Donald Trump is quite the
controversial president." I wrote that down too.
The last idea I wrote down was a Beauty Blender, the makeup sponge that changed the world of

We live in a world where things like, technology, entertainment, and social issues are always
changing. There are a million different items that people may consider valuable. Each item might
have a different meaning. Whether the meaning be significant or not. If given the opportunity to
place three different items inside of a time capsule that would show a citizen of 2517 what life was
like living in 2017, it would be a good idea to would place an iPhone, a movie ticket stub, and birth

Firstly, as an item on the list of good things to be placed in a time capsule there is the iPhone X. The
iPhone X is the most developed cellular device right now. It, as is, has many different features that
are advanced. For example, the phone's camera serves an amazing quality. Apple is one company
that changes their model and form every year. So, with something changing so frequently, just
imagine the development of the iPhone in five hundred years. I can only assume that the technology
will improve. As little as the quality of the camera, will dramatically improve as well. Placing this
item inside of the Time capsule will greatly show a citizen of 2517, what technology was back in
2017. And to the people of 2517, 2017's technology will be laughed at, because theirs will be far ...

Thank you for choosing our school to determine the artifacts for the time capsule to bring with you
on the next Mars space mission. Each ninth grade science student has selected three artifacts for the
time capsule. I have chosen a CD, a book, and a playlist of songs from the 1980's, 1990's, and
2000's.I chose these objects because by the time the future generations find these three things, they
will be irrelevant to our culture. We have selected these objects for the sole purpose of informing the
future of our lives as they would probably become unknown to the mass majority of the future
public. The compact disc is already becoming less known and less used today. It is a circular, silver,
disc with a hole in the center that stores data (mostly music and videos). Not only was the CD a
great form of storing information, it gave people endless hours of entertainment. Whether the
entertainment was movies or music, the CD was still a very important part of people's lives. As you

Time Capsule Items
Imagine an item that can bring the past into the future? Yes, that's right, this year, our grade 8 class
is going to make a time capsule! A time capsule is an item where a historic cache of goods are sealed
in a box to be opened in the future giving great help to future historians and archeologists. We are
going to add three items to our time capsule, a journal entry from each student, a class yearbook,
and an iPhone. These items are what the future will be missing.
Our kick off item that we will add to our time capsule is a journal containing an entry from each
student. First, we will add a journal because it will give one's genuine feeling on what is going on in
the world right now, whether good or bad. The writers will express themselves to their best ability so
the reader can get the true meaning of current events with nothing but the truth. The second reason
why we will add the journal is that it shows what we feel to be important in our world. The key
reason why a journal is needed is so that we can share our opinions and feelings about the world in
which we live. One's thoughts are the most valuable another can get and with this knowledge, the
students in the future can see how the human nature has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

tomorrow would love to know why we went to a sketchy old factory, a mountain with white stuff
and this place named after a British monarch. Finally, the most important reason why a yearbook is
in this box of wonders is that it will contain each student's favourite memories and hopes for the
future, kind of like a mini interview for everyone. Like it or not, the yearbook is going

way back to the 1960's. We are archeologist that love finding things from years and years ago. My
colleagues and I have just been summoned to a dig a site because my colleagues made a unique
discovery: a time capsule from the 1960s that was buried so long ago. Very carefully my colleagues
and I are going to unearth and open this time capsule. Inside the time capsule we found five items
that define the era of the 1960s. The very first item we found is a record by "The Beatles". The
Beatles got their first studio deal in 1962. The Beatles cast involved John Lennon, George Harrison,

In response, Martin Luther King wrote a letter hoping that he and all of the other African Americans

death, as in the speech at the Mason Temple Church in Memphis, Tenn., on April 3, 1968, the night
before he died: "I've been to the mountain top and seen the promised land" (Funk & Wagnalls,2014).
The next item we found was the assassination of JFK newspaper. John Fitzgerald Kennedy also
known as Jack Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States of America. Some of the
remarkable events that happened while John F Kennedy was holding office in the 60's was the space
race, the Cuban missile crisis, and the establishment of the Peace Corps. John F Kennedy had served
in the navy as a secretary before being elected as president and also served as senator. JFK had two
brothers who died in action in the WWII. John F Kennedy when elected as president one of his first
steps was creating the Peace Corps. The Peace Corps and with this program volunteers would help

Hidden Time Capsule Analysis
In this assignment, I am a cultural anthropologist searching for a hidden time capsule from both the
Renaissance Age and the Age of Baroque. In each capsule it is rumored that there are at least two
examples of each of the following items locked inside: Art, Music, Descriptions of drawings or
architecture, Philosophy, and Literature. The period after the Middle Ages is known as the
Renaissance in Europe. This era ushered in a sense of cultural renewal with a focus on classical
learning and values of ancient Greece and Rome. During the time of the Renaissance, politics were
relatively stable and there was a sense of expanding prosperity. Because of this, the development of
new technologies such as printing presses, a new system of astronomy and an influx of newly
discovered lands. Additionally, philosophy, literature, and art were also becoming synonymous with
the Renaissance era. The style of painting, sculpture and decorative arts identified with the
Renaissance emerged in Italy in the late 14th century; it reached its zenith in the late 15th and early
16th centuries, in the work of Italian masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael

the person who I now today. My infant life was not one full of idealistic situations due to my birth
parents who were unfit to take care of me, and I am thankful I call my aunt and uncle my mom and

I have had the metal pin and screws kept in a small, green, and opaque package that was given to me
by the doctor who removed the pin. Firstly, I would want to include that in the time capsule because
it would tell a story of how my life was changed. It would tell the story of how a life was trusted in
the hands of two individuals, and they took that life and disregarded how a baby should be properly
taken care of. I do not know why they said that it was an accident when it clearly was not, but it
makes me sick to think that anybody could lie to their own child about something that still affects
them to this day. Another reason I want to include the pin, is because it would tell people how I
became a stronger person. Having multiple surgeries itself is something unfortunate to live through.
All the physical scars I have remind me of the horrible events that transpired when I was very small,
but at the same time I think of them as battle scars. They show that I had the determination to not
give up on life, and to prevail regardless of all the obstacles that plagued my life. Also, including it
in my time capsule could tell people the lesson that I have learned about others. I learned that not
everybody is fit for parenthood, but when it comes unexpectedly, there is no bracing for the fight to

The Universal Time Lapse Capsule
The Universal Time–Lapse Capsule, or TLC, is a hand–held device shaped like a huge pill with a
dial in the middle for you to decide which time period you would like to travel to. It is still a very
new device that can malfunction at any given time. The Victorian Age is a time period that anyone
from the modern time period would boldly stand out in. People talk, dress, socialize, and entertain
themselves in very different manners. This guide was created to help you survive through this time
era if something were to ever go wrong with your TLC.
Where to fall in Society:
Social classism was a huge deal during the Victorian Age. Everyone only mingled and married
within their class. There are some cases where people married slightly higher or slightly lower, but
those cases were rare. As time traveler that no one has ever heard of, you will best fit in the working
class. You can better claim being poor from another town over than being rich because the rich
people came in rarities, therefore they were all acquainted with each other.
Men:
You will best fall under the working–class category in the Victorian hierarchy, which is very close to
the bottom of the social pyramid. Life will be very hard and seem unbearable, but you are strong
enough to pull through it. However, you may feel disrespected in certain situations, but you must
remember your place. It is imperative that you do not step out of line with the higher classmen.

Time Capsules from Renaissance and Baroque Periods
For almost two years, we have been in search of what we believed were time capsules, hidden away
between the years of 1400, when the Renaissance period started, and 1750 which marks the end of
the Baroque period. We are pleased to announce that our nearly twenty–four year search has ended
in the discovery of two such capsules. Each of these capsules contains information, vital to the
understanding of past cultures and their origins, and necessary to the development of culture today.
In what we 're now referring to as "Cap A", we have discovered two very well known pieces of Art.
One, now referred to as the world's most famous smile, is the Mona Lisa. Leonardo Da Vinci created
this masterpiece in 1503 using a style known as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He also composed and left for us, Missa Prolatium".
There was a second capsule discovered which we'll call Capsule B. In this capsule are reminders for
us of life during the Baroque Period. John Locke, who was born in 1632 and died at the age of 73,
left for us his most famous works. The Essay Concerning Human Understanding tries to answer the
questions where ideas come from and are our senses reliable. Another very famous, more reliable
philosopher, Baruch Spinoza left behind his works in which he discredited the scriptures because he
said they were all influenced by the period in which they were written. He claimed that Jesus
preached a religion of reason that valued love higher that all else. He was later excommunicated.
It seems, one week after his death, Peter Paul Rubens home was inventoried and there were
thousands of works found inside. The Adoration of the Magi, and Sampson and Delilah were found
among the collection of work. Renaissance literature that will forever be etched in our minds was
discovered in this capsule. One of the greatest influences of our time left evidence of his existence.
William Shakespeare deposited two of his most famous works into this capsule. Romeo and Juliet
and Hamlet were these two literary masterpieces. Although Shakespeare never published any of his
work, he did feel it important to leave these two plays in this capsule.

A time capsule is a historic cache that contains goods and information to help future archaeologists,
anthropologists, and historians. Usually, metal containers are used for the capsule so it can preserve
everything inside of it and be available to study many decades later. In world history class, we each
created a time capsule that represents a certain era. Some included the Atlantic Ocean Trade, the
Colombian Exchange, and the Thirty Years War. My time capsule is mainly centered on Renaissance
Literature. For about two weeks in the beginning of the second semester, I had no clue what to
create my time capsule about. I knew that I was very interested in learning more about the
Renaissance era. I did a lot of research about the music, art, and literature during that time. I came
across a lot of information about some things, and only few about others. I felt stuck and hopeless

Two time capsules were found during renovations of the Basilica of San Lorenzo, Florence. One
time capsule dates back to the Renaissance time period. Artifacts in this time capsule included a

The Decameron. The second time capsule had artifacts from the Baroque time period. Artifacts in
this time capsule included a painting of The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp, a stage painting
in an opera house, canvas painting of St. Petersburg, and a play called Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme

Another canvas lay rolled up at the bottom of the time capsule. Once unrolled, a beautiful drawing
on canvas of the Florence Cathedral's dome was revealed. The dome was designed by Filippo
Brunelleschi, drawn in 1420. This dome was the largest ever built in history in this era. Flippo
Brunelleschi used new methods of hoisting stone and masonry technique to construct the dome
(Fiero, 2011). The Florence Cathedral highly reflects the Architectural development of the early
Renaissance period. It also reflects how devoted Rome was to their religion, and how religion
influenced the Romans to build magnificent architecture for a place to worship.
A book lay at the bottom of the renaissance time capsule called The Decameron, by Giovanni
Boccaccio. This book has 100 tales about seven young women and three young men who took
shelter in a secluded villa in Florence, to escape the Black Death plague. This book shows the social
class difference that was taking place during this time period within the culture. The book also goes
into detail of what took place during the pandemic and the horrors people were faced with. This
book is also a product of the printing press made in 1450. This allowed documentation, information,
and books such as The Decameron, to be printed and passed around the world.

Time Capsule Project

  • 1. Time Capsule Project Time Capsule Project The motto I like to live up to is; Things happen, and that's life. Knowing this I never really have a solid idea of my future. Of course I like to imagine my future and what college I would go to, or what my apartment would look like, or even who I might end up with. But one tiny thing could change a big aspect of life, and I'm okay with that. You definity control your life and future even if you aren't aware of your actions affecting it. If I were to look three years into my future many things would have probably changed. Even the slightest of dying my hair a bright color to moving, anything. With the important influential people in my life, of friends and family, I see differences to now. With friends comes the different classes or involved in different clubs. With family it's different, new people might be welcomed, but the inner family right now will always stay close. I hope for a strong bond with these people as life changes. Daily life is something constantly changing. You can't always have the same routine every day, something a little different happens each day. I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sadness is an emotion similar to a complicated math problem, it can be expressed and more than one way and might have more than one answer. What makes me sad in my life now is the close minded people who are so shut up in their own little world to understand anything that involves another person's hardships. I'm sad for the people who are uneducated about emotions especially sadness, but instead are told to suck it up and don't cry. I am sad for those who are sad, people who feel alone and lost within the swirling thoughts that never seem to end, a constant whirlpool. People need to know they have support and someone to talk to. In the future I hope for more awareness of these difficulties that are sometimes ignored by the only people who can help ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Time Capsule Research Paper Who doesn't like buried treasure? Most young children attend a birthday party with a pirate theme at some point during their childhood, and the search for buried treasure is usually the highlight. Time capsules are an adult–like version of the pirate's treasure chest, and one is able to get a glimpse of the past through real artifacts, or treasure, that someone thoughtfully prepared for future generations to uncover. The items that are placed in the capsule are extraordinarily meaningful to the individual who placed them there, and if one were to complete a capsule for a future community at Fox Lane Middle School, it would be certain to hold critical technology, vital household items, and important fads, since these items are thought to be necessities in the daily life of a middle school student today. Every day, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The refrigerator is so widely used, as it is estimated that ninety–nine percent of households in the United States have one. The convenience of being able to store food that would otherwise rot makes it critical to the health of the nation. Although some middle school students may think a computer is more important than a refrigerator, it can be argued that a refrigerator is even more important, since it can store food to keep one alive. Most middle school students predictably walk into their homes after school and continue directly to the refrigerator to find something to eat. The microwave oven teams up with the refrigerator perfectly because it allows people to warm up the their food that has been kept fresh and cold, quickly and easily, and the oven can be safely used by children and young adults. The microwave oven, similar to the refrigerator, is used in ninety–five percent of households in the United ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Freshmen Time Capsule Letter I'm writing this letter to my future self for Ms. Meyers English class and to be placed into the freshmen time capsule to open when I'm a senior. To begin with 1. Me now, I am obviously a freshman in high school, I am in quarter two and am in wrestling season. I just went hunting over the weekend, I shot my first buck, it's antler came off when it shot it. My home is just built and is only 6 months old. My dog Dakota is still a little puppy who likes to bite and jump on me. I took a unit test yesterday I feel I did really well, next it is the unit map test in World Geography. I don't have an allowance, I just help out my parent when they need me to. • 13. Time Capsule Essay In this essay, I will be writing and sharing the three items that I would have put into a time capsule. These items will be used to help show future generations what I think are the things that would help represent the twenty first century. Each item has a different meaning to me and others that use these items. From the enjoyment of each item to the usefulness of the item. One of my first items that I would put into the time capsule would be a video montage of the 2018 local car scenes and racing events that had taken place in Melbourne, Florida. Then, I would include a collection of the different car scenes throughout the entire state of Florida. The reason why I want to put this video in is because of how far we have come in the car industry, by not making as many new vehicles, but by bringing old ones back, in a new way and starting new trends! From motor modifications and race times to just designs that go with new and trending movies, shows, music and iconic characters! The things that a car enthusiasts will do just to drive their car or trucks to a meet or event can sometimes be amazing and inspirational to me. This is because it motivates people ... Most can be used for multiple things like gaming, music and recording. Each ninth grade student has chosen three artifacts for the time capsule. The three artifacts that I choose for future generations is a mobile phone, the American penny, and the New York Times Newspaper. My first artifact that I choose was a mobile phone. I choose a Mobile Phone because studies show that seventy percent of the world has mobile phones therefor it was very significant to our time period. • 21. The Discovery of a Time Capsule DISCOVERY OF A TIME CAPSULE DISCOVERY OF A TIME CAPSULE PEOPLE AND TIME Time defines how people fashion, behave and live. On the other hand, there are a few times in history that are shaped by famous personalities and known as 'their age'. 1960 was a major year in the political history of America as we know through internet sources. Yet, the time capsule we recently found shows us much more than that. It tells us things besides the stats and numbers. It tells us about the thoughts, feelings and emotions of people as well as their culture. It cannot be said for sure who buried the time capsule and for what purpose. The time capsule was safe enough to keep the records for historical records. The time capsule we found had some interesting and some strange items in it. It indicated about the social, political and technological situation of the country. ITEMS IN TIME CAPSULE Back in history, there were not electric portable devices to keep track of history. Only a few details could be saved in the form of writing or pictures. The videos were not of good quality thus the technology was in making. The time capsule saved in 1960 that we found in 2325 contains following five items: 1.A love letter from one of early 3,500 American soldiers sent to wage war on Vietnam: When the first troops moved to Vietnam, they only thing they knew was that Vietnam is a communist country and the soldiers were entering war to save America. In 100 years who knows what life is going to emulate, everyone knows history repeats itself. By showing the people of the future what mistakes happened in the past and the outcome that came from it, making crucial decisions would have a better outcome. When the time capsule goes into the ground, it needs to contain meaningful objects. Smartphones, magazines, and videos should travel to the future because they have enormous impacts on today's society. Learning from the past will only perfect the future and everyone in it. • 29. Why I Want To Take A Time Capsule Essay Putting objects in to a time capsule is actually a question that caused me to reach out to others and it was a great conversation starter. I found myself wondering should I lean more towards Bowling Green only memories or my personal memories. Then I realized in 100 years (depending on new innovation in health care) I will probably be dead. Therefore, I decided to choose what will be interesting to look at in 100 years by changes I think could happen in the future. This brings me to my first object and that would be a small scrapbook of aerial and ground photos. Just in the next five year Bowling Green has over 4 major construction and demolition projects planned. I would love for someone to see a difference of the and now to know what the campus used to be like, because in 100 years who even know if the student union will still be the same building. I want pictures of classrooms and student life to be incorporated to, because even right now laptops are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It will probably be in cursive because I know they no longer teach this in schools anymore and I want to show its importance. The diary would be nothing grand it may even just have what my daily life would be. A simple memoir of how life can change just going through the motions even. I would talk about how the atmosphere is, and how life as a student is. The challenge of technological determinism and how people talk less, but still strive for communication. I want to focus on how even within just 1–year society can shift. So that whoever may be reading (and if they read it) can see that time is precious and ever changing. It's fast and constant. Who knows what will be happening in 100 years. The main thing I want someone to know is that they should know that the past matters, because it shaped the future. Also just for fun I think I would put a Twinkie in the time capsule, because well I wonder if it will still be edible, and maybe someone would be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 33. Renaissance Time Capsule Renaissance Time Capsule Rodney A. Mathis HUM/102 June 2, 2014 Dr. Julie Kares Renaissance Time Capsule As part of my introduction to humanities class, I was required to probe for a concealed time capsule from both the Renaissance and the Baroque ages. Thereafter, I was required to identify at least two examples of art, music, architecture, philosophy, and literature depicted during the periods. By doing so, I expected to identify how these examples reflected world events and cultural blueprints of their periods. The Renaissance refers to the cultural transformations witnessed in Europe between the fourteen–century and the sixteen–century (Cheremeteff, 2000). The transformations originated in Italy before spreading to the other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another piece of art I would expect to unravel in the Renaissance time capsule is The Creation of Man. Michelangelo created the art. The painting was done during the early 16th century (Cheremeteff, 2000). The painting depicts the creation of man by God as portrayed in the book of Genesis. The two pieces of art reflect about the world events and cultural patterns of their time. As such, they had a significant impact on the Christians of the time. To date, the two arts are considered the most imitated religious paintings of all time. With respect to the age of Baroque, I expect to unravel The Inspiration of Saint Mathew and Christ in the House of Mary and Martha. Caravaggio produced The Inspiration of Saint Matthew in the early 17th century (Cheremeteff, 2000). Diego Velázquez produced the second art during the year 1618. The two arts reflect a lot about the religious and cultural settings of the age of Baroque. For instance, Velázquez's art reflects the classic Baroque Christian fusion of Martha and Mary Magdalene. Music Music refers to human activity characterized by prearranged and perceptible sounds. Although, humans had practiced music for thousands of years it should be noted that during the two ages it took a different direction (Friedell, 2008). In my quest to find classical music from the two time capsules, I would expect to unravel musical sheets ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. Time Capsule Research Paper A time capsule represents a culture in a bottle. And so, in order to create a relevant time capsule, this class must ask the question; "What three facets of a society clearly represent its culture?" Because archeology specializes in the deciphering of long–dead cultures, a look at archeology's perspective is most beneficial in answering this question. A review of the archeological literature reveals three topics consistently dominating the conversation. The technology, belief system, and pastimes peculiar to a nation define its culture to observers viewing it from a future date. Therefore, a time capsule to be opened in the year 2115 must include an artifact specific to the area of innovation, a relic representative of America's dominant religion and the main contender, and something to present a picture of popular entertainment. The smartphone presents itself as the obvious choice for an artifact to represent technology. However, it seems the only constant in computer science is that no constants exist. Technology grows at such a rapid rate that merely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As the main religion, a relic of unembellished, mainstream Christianity deserves a spot in any time capsule. Also, since America in form and function is now primarily secular, secular humanism should provide part of this item. Audio recordings of a Southern Baptist minister and a vocal atheist, such as Richard Dawkins, would supply the perfect relic. Because of the difficulty of acquiring a playback mechanism for vocal mediums found in time capsules, the smartphones should carry them as files. This raises another problem, however, a charging cable attached to a hand cranked generator or similar method is necessary to preserve the information should the future lose today's technology. In conclusion, the smartphones ought to include files which represent the current religious landscape, and a method for perpetuating the files' life put in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 41. Time Capsule Research Paper We all know about time capsules, right? They've been portrayed in countless movies, T.V. series, and books, always with a grand burial and an even grander exhumation. However, time capsules aren't made just for kicks. The purpose of time capsules is to give the future historians a peek of what the past was like. An alternative motive behind a time capsule could be to give your descendants something to remember you by. If asked to make a time capsule, with the latter purpose in mind, I'd want to use three objects that have unmistakable meanings to me. These three objects would be a picture of my closest friends and me, the soccer cleat correspondent to my right foot, and my guitar pick necklace. In the first item, a picture, I would stand alongside Jonathan, Isaac, Lorissa, Giovanishka, Cristian, and Tainarie, since, as of now, these six people are who I consider my closest friends. This item would represent the appreciation and love I have towards them. I consider the picture a significant part of the time capsule since my friends are the people that never let me down. They pick me up when I'm morose and depressive, and they help me overcome my obstacles. I can always count on them, and the reciprocal also holds true. They dare me ... Very carefully, my colleagues and I unearthed this time capsule, and inside the time capsule we found five items that define the era of the 1960s. The very first item that we found was a news paper clipping about the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. John F Kennedy, affectionately known by his family as Jack, and by the nation as JFK; was the 35th president of the United States beginning in January 1961 up until November 1963 when he was tragically shot down during a motorcade in downtown Dallas Texas Dealey Plaza. The President was beginning to work on his presidential campaign for the next term, he had not officially made it known to the public but I have a feeling that many of the people just knew that he would run again and possibly take the win. This was traumatizing for his wife Jacqueline, not only because she witnessed his death, but because she very rarely went along with her husband on campaigns. As the Lincoln Convertible drove by Texas school book depository Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly fired three shots from the sixth floor, wounded President Kennedy and seriously wounding the Governor. President JFK was pronounced dead thirty minutes, later at the Dallas Parkland Hospital. JFK had many ideas in mind to help ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It was a small box, an inch and a half deep and about half the size of a piece of printer paper. It must have caught the plumber by surprise to find a ten–pound time capsule from the first years of the United States. Lodged tightly in stone, it took workers seven hours to remove the box, and before a special ceremony held for the opening, another four to loosen the screws holding it fast. Wearing protective gloves, members of the historical society found newspapers, coins, and even a rectangular silver plate engraved by Revere himself inside the capsule. The contents of the box were well preserved, and they provided a rare and candid glimpse at our not so distant past. The Samuel Adams and Paul Revere Time Capsule is to this day the oldest time capsule to have been discovered in the United States, and since 1795, certainly, the time capsule craze has exploded, and with good reason. People have always found the idea of time fascinating. "We all 'want to be here' in one way or another" William E. Jarvis states in Time Capsules: A Cultural History. "That's why some of us (try to) freeze ourselves alive to be thawed and revived in the era of our choice. That's why people construct crypts, 'time bombs,' time capsules, and cornerstone deposits," he goes on to say. To some degree, all people connect through a fascination with time. The poet, Margaret Atwood launches herself into the future, to tell the story a dead planet's life. The attention grabber, the planet the speaker talks about is Earth. In this essay I will explore the reason behind why Margaret wrote the capsule in five sections, who she was talking to, who she was writing as, the reason for money being personified, and the goal of the motif of flight. When you begin every story, anyone knows there will always be three common factors. A beginning, a middle, and an end. No matter how complex the story. • 65. Because of the difficulty of acquiring a playback mechanism for vocal mediums found in time capsules, the smartphones should carry them as files. According to text "He was near exhaustion from stress, and his speeches increasingly alluded to his possible death, as in the speech at the Mason Temple Church in Memphis, Tenn., on April 3, 1968, the night before he died: "I've been to the mountain top and seen the promised land" (Funk & Wagnalls,2014). The next item we found was the assassination of JFK newspaper. John Fitzgerald Kennedy also known as Jack Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States of America. Some of the remarkable events that happened while John F Kennedy was holding office in the 60's was the space race, the Cuban missile crisis, and the establishment of the Peace Corps. John F Kennedy had served in the navy as a secretary before being elected as president and also served as senator. JFK had two brothers who died in action in the WWII. John F Kennedy when elected as president one of his first steps was creating the Peace Corps. • 121. A Time Capsule Research Paper *Gasp* A time capsule, a great way for future generations to learn about the past, contains valuable articles. This device may contain only three items. One hundred years from now, people will discover this hidden chest. The contents of this time capsule might shock the discoverers. Just as people wonder what the future is like, the future generations might wonder what the past was like. A person could place an old cellphone, fire arm, or clothing for example into this container. Firstly, the cellphone would make a fine article in this instance. The future people will see first– hand what technology the past generations used. They could disassemble the phone and realize just how much the technology has changed. Because future people took ... No matter whatever they believe, I apprehend that my grandchildren will remember me for this composition and my three objects. Pictures, like a frozen instance in time or a concept that you'll cherish. I would install my photograph in my time capsule so that they apprehend what I cherish, and instead of implying rage, I should act with honor considering that some individual is sharing my insights. First, I would obtain a family photo so that they know what our attire was and what we behaved like. Second, I would put it in my time capsule. Third, I would bequeath it for my grandkids. A ... • 129. Hidden Time Capsule Analysis In this assignment, I am a cultural anthropologist searching for a hidden time capsule from both the Renaissance Age and the Age of Baroque. In each capsule it is rumored that there are at least two examples of each of the following items locked inside: Art, Music, Descriptions of drawings or architecture, Philosophy, and Literature. The period after the Middle Ages is known as the Renaissance in Europe. This era ushered in a sense of cultural renewal with a focus on classical learning and values of ancient Greece and Rome. During the time of the Renaissance, politics were relatively stable and there was a sense of expanding prosperity. Because of this, the development of new technologies such as printing presses, a new system of astronomy and an influx of newly discovered lands. Additionally, philosophy, literature, and art were also becoming synonymous with the Renaissance era. The style of painting, sculpture and decorative arts identified with the Renaissance emerged in Italy in the late 14th century; it reached its zenith in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, in the work of Italian masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael (History, 2010). Renaissance art had a definitive theme. It was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The sketches were of buildings that were eventually built in and around Rome. The Renaissance revival of Classical Rome was as important in architecture as it was in literature. During the Renaissance, architects trained as humanists helped raise the status of their profession from skilled laborer to artist. They hoped to create structures that would appeal to both emotion and reason The other sketch that I found in the capsule from the Age of Baroque of building were abstract and slightly deformed. The most notable characteristics are the use of movement, such as a curving wall or a fountain with jets of water forever changing shape (Encyclopedia of Art History, ... The Importance Of Preserving Items Of A 500 Year Time Capsule The idea of preserving items in a 500 year time capsule may seem like an amazing idea but it is actually rather difficult to find objects worthy of being put in it. Certain items from my infancy would have to be included because certain events that happened back then have helped to make me the person who I now today. My infant life was not one full of idealistic situations due to my birth parents who were unfit to take care of me, and I am thankful I call my aunt and uncle my mom and dad. They were very abusive and I would want to preserve some of those memories to explain several points. I would also want my future generations, or whoever would uncover the capsule, to know what it was like to live during this time period, and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I have had the metal pin and screws kept in a small, green, and opaque package that was given to me by the doctor who removed the pin. Firstly, I would want to include that in the time capsule because it would tell a story of how my life was changed. It would tell the story of how a life was trusted in the hands of two individuals, and they took that life and disregarded how a baby should be properly taken care of. I do not know why they said that it was an accident when it clearly was not, but it makes me sick to think that anybody could lie to their own child about something that still affects them to this day. Another reason I want to include the pin, is because it would tell people how I became a stronger person. Having multiple surgeries itself is something unfortunate to live through. All the physical scars I have remind me of the horrible events that transpired when I was very small, but at the same time I think of them as battle scars. They show that I had the determination to not give up on life, and to prevail regardless of all the obstacles that plagued my life. Also, including it in my time capsule could tell people the lesson that I have learned about others. I learned that not everybody is fit for parenthood, but when it comes unexpectedly, there is no bracing for the fight to come. Some people simply cannot handle the burdens and responsibilities that come with bearing a child. It does not upset me that they did not get to know what I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 137. The Universal Time Lapse Capsule The Universal Time–Lapse Capsule, or TLC, is a hand–held device shaped like a huge pill with a dial in the middle for you to decide which time period you would like to travel to. It is still a very new device that can malfunction at any given time. The Victorian Age is a time period that anyone from the modern time period would boldly stand out in. People talk, dress, socialize, and entertain themselves in very different manners. This guide was created to help you survive through this time era if something were to ever go wrong with your TLC. Where to fall in Society: Social classism was a huge deal during the Victorian Age. Everyone only mingled and married within their class. There are some cases where people married slightly higher or slightly lower, but those cases were rare. As time traveler that no one has ever heard of, you will best fit in the working class. You can better claim being poor from another town over than being rich because the rich people came in rarities, therefore they were all acquainted with each other. Life will be very hard and seem unbearable, but you are strong enough to pull through it. However, you may feel disrespected in certain situations, but you must remember your place. • 141. Time Capsules from Renaissance and Baroque Periods For almost two years, we have been in search of what we believed were time capsules, hidden away between the years of 1400, when the Renaissance period started, and 1750 which marks the end of the Baroque period. We are pleased to announce that our nearly twenty–four year search has ended in the discovery of two such capsules. Each of these capsules contains information, vital to the understanding of past cultures and their origins, and necessary to the development of culture today. In what we 're now referring to as "Cap A", we have discovered two very well known pieces of Art. One, now referred to as the world's most famous smile, is the Mona Lisa. Leonardo Da Vinci created this masterpiece in 1503 using a style known as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He also composed and left for us, Missa Prolatium". There was a second capsule discovered which we'll call Capsule B. In this capsule are reminders for us of life during the Baroque Period. John Locke, who was born in 1632 and died at the age of 73, left for us his most famous works. The Essay Concerning Human Understanding tries to answer the questions where ideas come from and are our senses reliable. Another very famous, more reliable philosopher, Baruch Spinoza left behind his works in which he discredited the scriptures because he said they were all influenced by the period in which they were written. He claimed that Jesus preached a religion of reason that valued love higher that all else. He was later excommunicated. It seems, one week after his death, Peter Paul Rubens home was inventoried and there were thousands of works found inside. The Adoration of the Magi, and Sampson and Delilah were found among the collection of work. Renaissance literature that will forever be etched in our minds was discovered in this capsule. One of the greatest influences of our time left evidence of his existence. William Shakespeare deposited two of his most famous works into this capsule. Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet were these two literary masterpieces. Although Shakespeare never published any of his work, he did feel it important to leave these two plays in this capsule. • 145. My Time Capsule Research Paper A time capsule is a historic cache that contains goods and information to help future archaeologists, anthropologists, and historians. Usually, metal containers are used for the capsule so it can preserve everything inside of it and be available to study many decades later. In world history class, we each created a time capsule that represents a certain era. Some included the Atlantic Ocean Trade, the Colombian Exchange, and the Thirty Years War. My time capsule is mainly centered on Renaissance Literature. For about two weeks in the beginning of the second semester, I had no clue what to create my time capsule about. I knew that I was very interested in learning more about the Renaissance era. I did a lot of research about the music, art, and literature during that time. I came across a lot of information about some things, and only few about others. I felt stuck and hopeless on my project, so I decided to take a break and try to look for something else in a few days. I re– read many articles and websites about the Renaissance and finally had ideas about what I could possibly do. At last, I decided to create my time capsule about Renaissance literature. To showcase society, a newspaper would probably be the most effective and appropriate sampling of society and culture. The news portion of the newspaper is a representation of our current events. Classified ads and sales flyers would be a valuable indication of our current cost of living. Since our world is changing so rapidly, and we are learning new things every day, also included would be an issue of the magazine, Popular Science. This magazine generally has an admirable overview of what is being researched and of our newest technologies in the field of science. • 153. Time Capsules from the Renaissance and Baroque Time... Two time capsules were found during renovations of the Basilica of San Lorenzo, Florence. One time capsule dates back to the Renaissance time period. Artifacts in this time capsule included a painting of The Birth of Venus, a lute, drawing of the Florence Cathedral's dome, and a book called The Decameron. The second time capsule had artifacts from the Baroque time period. Artifacts in this time capsule included a painting of The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp, a stage painting in an opera house, canvas painting of St. Petersburg, and a play called Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme These artifacts give us a glimpse of world events, and cultural patterns in the Renaissance and Baroque time period. The first artifact that is pulled out of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another canvas lay rolled up at the bottom of the time capsule. Once unrolled, a beautiful drawing on canvas of the Florence Cathedral's dome was revealed. The dome was designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, drawn in 1420. This dome was the largest ever built in history in this era. Flippo Brunelleschi used new methods of hoisting stone and masonry technique to construct the dome (Fiero, 2011). The Florence Cathedral highly reflects the Architectural development of the early Renaissance period. It also reflects how devoted Rome was to their religion, and how religion influenced the Romans to build magnificent architecture for a place to worship. A book lay at the bottom of the renaissance time capsule called The Decameron, by Giovanni Boccaccio. This book has 100 tales about seven young women and three young men who took shelter in a secluded villa in Florence, to escape the Black Death plague. This book shows the social class difference that was taking place during this time period within the culture. The book also goes into detail of what took place during the pandemic and the horrors people were faced with. This book is also a product of the printing press made in 1450. This allowed documentation, information, and books such as The Decameron, to be printed and passed around the world. As the second time capsule is open the artifacts inside are from the ...
