Gumbo is a dish that is made differently depending on the cultural background of the person making it.
The name "gumbo," comes from the Bantu word "nkombo," which stands for okra. Gumbo is originally
from Africa and was defined as a soup dish (Owens 1). Ingredients such as, chopped onions, shrimp,
andouille sausage, chicken, salt, garlic, celery, parsley, bell peppers, okra, and roux are what make up a
gumbo. Roux is a thickener for gumbo and there are many different ways to make it. This thickener is
made with flour and butter, oil or fat. Gumbo creates cultural diffusion near the south. The way that
people prepare gumbo or how popular it is depends on how far they are from South Louisiana. Gumbo
has many cultural influences such as: Western European, African, Caribbean, and Native America
(Gumbo Festivals 2). Gumbo can be made many different ways because of these cultures. The
traditional gumbo recipe includes chicken and sausage but there are also many different seafood recipes
that include shrimp, oysters, or crabs. A family that hunts usually includes other meats such as duck or
squirrel. People usually serve gumbo with a side of potato salad which ties back to a German influence.
Some Jews actually take gumbo and turn it into their own with their culture. They make what is known
as, "Matzo Ball Gumbo." Matzo Ball Gumbo is a chicken gumbo with smoked turkey bone that flavors

Also the facts we provide would be useful for all those who are interested in this country or who are
going to visit it in order to prevent different problems caused by ignorance of inherent peculiarities of
the USA. In our scientific work we have examined some books, journals, internet sites providing
profound analyses of American history, culture, population, and some newspaper and magazine articles
devoted to the culture of the country. Using the historic, comparative, and statistical methods of
investigation in our scientific work we studied the mentioned above materials, cited data about the US
population by selected ancestry groups, we could define the main countries which had affected the
formation of American nation and its language. To distil the complex and rapidly changing nature of
America and American life into a balanced survey is a difficult task, but we tried to do our best. We
hope that the slides we show in our presentation make our research more interesting, vivid and add to
the palette of our scientific work many colorful tones. The given theme has been investigated by us for
two years. Thus from abstract work it has developed into scientific research to what the volume of the
material we provide testifies. CHAPTER I. IN SEARCH OF AMERICA "America is so vast that

6. Essay on Fall of Asclepius
Fall of Asclepius By Harm 1 and Icrick Prologue Where should I begin? The apocalypse happened so
fast. In less than a month, monsters infested every part of this world. People panicked, people died.
They clawed at each other just to get out of all the infested areas around the world. There was problem
about fleeing from infested areas. Everywhere was infested. There was no where anyone could go
without encountering the walking plague. You know that phrase "War is Hell"? Well... it's dead wrong.
War at least has some organization to it. What was faced in the last days... by last days I mean the last
days of civilization not life; itself. What was faced was hell. Everyone went ape shit insane. Everyone
was killing and raping each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact there will never was, nor will there ever be, a time that would surpass the horror humanity faced
during the outbreak. We were put through a trial. Some passed and some failed. The worst traits of
humanity were exposed during the outbreak. But at the same time, the best traits shone so brightly that
the darkness of humanity dissipated. It was the survivors that fought to get our lives back who had
these traits. Many credit me with bringing together so many people, with different ideals, to fight back
or bringing out the best in people because I inspired them. That was not true. It was thanks to true
humanity. The humanity I always knew existed. It's just that it was always suppressed by the darkness
of humanity. If you said to me a year before the outbreak that this would happen, I would send you to a
mental asylum. I guess the joke is on me, so to speak. I wasn't, what some would say, a confident
person. I would just follow others and just do my job. The outbreak changed all that. It changed
everyone, especially me. Some people got stronger due to the outbreak. Some became weaker. Being
leader of the survivors? This idea would be absurd to me before the outbreak. I never wanted to be a
leader. I just wanted to get by life like any other person. I didn't believe that I would make a good
leader. But I was wrong. What was that quote by Umbert...? Umberto Eco! It was, "The real hero is
always a hero by mistake; he dreams of being an honest

7. Raising Cane 's A Restaurant
Raising Cane 's Restaurant
The food industry in Louisiana has been growing over the years and the Raising Cane 's Restaurant has
been on the forefront in offering some of the best delicacies I have tasted in my life. Throughout my
life, I have had the pleasure of experiencing different restaurants and I can admit the experience has not
been disappointing at Raising Cane 's Restaurant. For anyone looking to experience a different taste of
chicken, look no further than Raising Cane. Raising Cane mostly serves chicken fingers. In fact, the
restaurant's name is Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. As its name suggests, it offers a variety of meals,
but chicken meals are their main foods. Todd Graves, who is the C.E.O of the restaurant and Craig
Silvey who was Todd's partner and currently the vice president of information technology and finance
established the restaurant in August 1996. The restaurant has its headquarters in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana, which was the location of the first restaurant. Today, Raising Cane is found in over 250
locations in the U.S and other countries including Kuwait as of September in 2015.
I set out to visit the restaurant for lunch last Friday and the first thing I noticed was its theme color,
which is red. The restaurant's logo is made of a mixture of white, yellow and black colors on a red and
a small yellow background. Its location is equally catchy because it is located at the intersection of
University Drive and Rural Road, which is next to Arizona

8. Speech On Crawfish
Ragin' Cajun Rice Stuffed Bell Peppers with Crawfish
Spring in the South means it's crawfish eatin' time! There's crawfish pie, fried crawfish, crawfish
étouffée and, of course, crawfish boils (or crawfish parties as our New Orleans friends call it). You'll
hardly find a town across Arkansas, Louisiana or Mississippi that doesn't have a rendition of a crawfish
boil going on somewhere even if it's somebody's backyard.
"We have Crawfish" signs start popping up like jonquils in early spring and restaurants can hardly open
their doors before selling out when crawfish are featured on the menu.
Growing up, we called them crawdads or mudbugs. They provided hours and hours of cheap
entertainment. First, there was the catching 'em which was a good ... Show more content on
