When ? Friday 9th march.
Who ? Motutapu team, 81
students and 18 adults.
4. Time
Time ? We will leave at
9.00 am and arrive at
9.40 we will leave at 2.00
and will be back by 2.50

18 adults entry to the zoo costs $369
18x22= $369
81 kids entry to the zoo costs $891

6. Transport
We will be taking two Murphy buses
There is 55 seats per bus
We will have 3 kids to a seat and 2 adults to a
seat.
Information from Miss Murphy
We divided 165 seats by 3 but we were only taking
two buses. Thats our total.
9. How long?
We will spend 30 minutes at the
discovery and learning center at 9.50
We will spend 20 minutes at the
penguin and elephant exhibits
We will have a 20 minute morning tea
and a 1 hour on lunch at the times of
10.40 and 12.30
10. Meerkats
Meerkats are part of the mongoose family.
A group of meerkats is called a clan
A clan usually has 20 meerkats
A meerkat on average usually lives from 12 to
14 years
The meerkats scientific name is "suricate"
The meerkat eats reptiles, bugs and small birds.
12. Otters
Asian Small-Clawed Otter is a mammal
the scientific name is Aonyx Cinerea
The otters live in freshwater streams,
rivers and creeks.
they live for 12 to 14 years in the wild
and up to 20 years in captivity
