6. Aim of Islamic Education Curriculum
The aim of education is the creation of the good and righteous
man who worships Allah in the true sense of the term, builds up
the structure of his earthly life according to the Sharia and
employs it to subserve his faith. (The First World Conference on

Education should aim at the balanced growth of the total
personality of Man through the training of Man’s spirit, intellect,
rational self, feelings and bodily senses…such that faith is infused
into the whole of his personality. (Al- Attas)

7. Purpose of Islamic Curriculum
To include an Islamic perspective in the curriculum,
which reflects the contribution of Islam and Muslims to
civilization.
To ensure that all students gain knowledge and
understanding of the Islamic legacy.
To unify the educational system by removing "the
dualism of sacred and secular from education“.
To prevent Muslims being influenced by "Godless
ideologies".
To emphasize that Islamic teaching is relevant to every
aspect of life and every ‘subject’ of the curriculum.
