2. In todays lesson we went through
examples of previous digipak’s that
have been created by the years before
us. From this I have noticed things that I
should and shouldn’t do when it comes
to creating my own digipak.
3. DO’S
The first this I noticed that I should
make sure I do is carry out enough
research on digipaks from the
genre of my song so that I know
what I should and shouldn’t include.
4. • Layout – use a simple layout.
• Font – use maximum two fonts, make sure the artist’s
name is bigger than the title and both are easily read.
• Colours – use maximum three colours.
• Image – make sure that any image used isn’t pixelated
and isn’t stretched. Also make sure the artist is feathered
correctly so they don’t seem ‘stuck on’ to the digipak.
• Important information - make sure the bar code, cd
number, record label information/logos, copyright
information, website and artist website are included on
the digipak.
Make sure the finished product looks professional.
DO’S
5. DONT’S
• Layout – use a complicated layout that
makes it hard to read information – for
example having the artist over text.
• Font – use more than two fonts or a font
that doesn’t relate to your genre of
music.
• Image – use images that doesn’t relate
to the genre of the music or images that
are pixelated.
• Special effects – keep it limited and
make sure it relates to the genre !
