2. March 12, 2020 everything went fine, the weather and the
community. Everyone went on with their daily tasks.
The next day, everyone was tied up to where they are, people were
not allowed to go out as they wish; everyone started wearing mask in
public places. Non-essential establishments were closed; people went
on panic buying having known little to what’s ahead of them. Social-
distancing was enforced.
Most people started working at home since all means of
transportation were halted. Schools and universities had to suspend
all classes.
Moreover, most people who used to work in an office have to request
for a company service but the majority have to stop working.
Since then, millions of people began losing their jobs. Millions who
work abroad have to be sent home to their own countries.
3. As a result; average wage earners had to wait for the cash assistance from the
government which in turn have to avail huge amount of loans to help it's citizens.
As for the school and colleges; the most awaited graduation ceremonies were done
online.
Saying goodbye face to face is not an option during this school year; needless to say
celebration is not a popular thing to do nowadays.
CoVid19 positive cases continued to rise each day; at first, people seemed to be
curious as to how many people were added each day on the list; since during the
early days of the virus' entrance in the Philippines, there's just 1 person who was
declared positive in the Visayas area, then it became 2, 3 and now and counting
seemed to be a tiring task.
4. Furthermore; doctors, nurses, politicians,
celebrities and ordinary people were not spared
from catching the virus. Most countries rich or
poor, far or near have this virus to battle.
Researchers, scientists, pharmaceutical
companies continued to race with time to
discover the vaccine. Well, what if discovering
the vaccine might just be just accidental like
discovering Penicillin. We can never tell as this
virus is not an ordinary one.
5. As more and more people gets infected and succumbs to death,
coming up with the vaccine that will fight this virus seems to be
the only way for us to get back on our normal way of life.
As to this date, positive cases are still counting, the most coveted
vaccine is still not on hand; a lot of vaccines are on their testing
phase, giving hope to mankind.
6. There are some questions like what if no vaccine gets
discovered? Are we bound to change the way we live? Will the
new normal be the permanent normal way of life?
This is not first Pandemic that the world had experience though,
they say there will be more to come in the future; as to when
and in what form will it be? We never know.
They say having a strong immune system is the most precious
shield that we can rely on.
Staying positive in mind and spirit but not with any virus is what
we need for sure.
