2. Opening storyline
●
Dave wakes up from a nightmare that he just had.
●
He panics and begins to try to calm down.
●
As he is calming down his phone rings.
●
He gets up to answer to find out the phone call is from an
unknown number.
●
As he draws his blinds to wake up, in the distance he sees a
man in black
●
He answers a dead phone call from an unknown number.
●
He then notices it could be him, a man he has seen in a
dream.
3. ●
As he is getting ever increasing fear of the worst, he decides to
run.
●
He doesn't want to be trapped in his house with a man he has
been having visions about in his sleep.
●
He runs down the stairs and slips on his shoes.
●
Then he runs out the door.
●
We follow the running with Dave
●
Every time Dave is out of shot, James is in it.
●
Dave keeps running to the top of a building because he has had
these visions for too long.
●
Dave looks over the edge and takes a deep breath in.
4. Storyline
●
Dave has lots of visions of a man in black
●
To start it is only in his dreams
●
But now he is beginning to see them whilst awake
●
He is too scared to share this with anyone so keeps it to himself
●
The more black he sees the more paranoid he gets
●
He thinks he sees him more often than he does
●
Dave reaches breaking point when he reaches the top of the car park
●
He feels the need to jump, as he does so a psychiatrist comes to the top
with his mum to explain it all to him.
●
He ignores them and decides to jump
5. Location
●
The location of this production will be a standard middle
class house. This is because we need the house to be
very neutral colours so that when the audience watch the
film they will denotate the colours of the wall to have
some meaning to the way of which they see the
character.
●
Once the filming in the house has been finished we will
move into Swindon where the rest of the filming will
accrue this consists of the roof top and alleys.
6. Actors
●
The age or Dave, the protagonist in this production will be 16. He
will be 16 years old because our audience is teenagers and i
believe that teenagers will be able to relate to a character more of
their age.
●
The antagonist will be aged at around 16 also. This is because the
antagonist needs to be shown at the same level at the start of the
film. Through out the film the denotations and connotations of the
antagonist will change. The mise en scene is what will represent
the status of the characters.
●
Both of the characters age being around 16 will mean that the
audience will be able to keep a neutral perspective of the two
characters through out the film.
Dave
(Protagonist)
James
(Antagonist)
7. Costume
●
Dave:
●
White shirt, black trousers, white and black trainers. Casual and
normal attire. This is so that the white will be seen as a neutral
colour so he is not worried about, but there is an elemental of him
that could be dangerous. Showing to the audience that he could
have done wrong but they do not know.
●
James:
●
All in black, hooded jacket up, black trousers along side some
black shoes. This is so that the audience are able to see that they
need to worry about him as he is wearing a hooded jackets, which
on a stereotype could be seen as negativeupon society. This
shows to the audience that he is bad as he is in black as well as
the fact that he is in a hoodie.
8. Who would publish/distribute this?
●
We think that the company metrodome would
distribute our thriller. This is because they are a
small company who are prepared to take risks
with smaller films. However we feel that Universal
Studios would not do this because they are a
bigger company only willing to release the bigger
productions.
