1. Thoughts about applying technology
to education.
The Internet is one of the greatest achievements of the mankind, the unimaginable amount of
content and the convergence of uncountable services had positioned it as the most complete
resource of information ever created by the human imagination. From the early vestiges of our
civilization to content that is being written right now for people all around the world.
As a web software developer I have been in charge of building platforms for educational
purposes: a community for helping boys and girls to share stories between Spain and Equatorial
Guinea and a repository for the preservation of written documents and images for the future
generations. Both projects were built on top of the most representatives programming tools for
the World Wide Web.
Now, for the first time in my life I have the opportunity to see things from a different viewpoint,
now I am not only a programmer, I am in training for being a teacher in the near future, the
things done has a lot of significance from my new perspective and I can see the potential on
many other technology tools available on the WWW to make the educational process much
better.
Seems that this study subject has promising days to come as I still work for web on several kinds
of projects but none entirely related to education. I have a lot of usable knowledge to apply and I
am eager to deal with challenging assignments to put me on test. Let's see what is next.
