My work focuses on practicing a connectivist learning philosophy in higher education. I utilize a place based student centered Self Organizing Learning Environment (SOLE) to immerse students in a hands-on community. Our project is the management of a busy Performing Arts Center. As a technology enriched environment, my program empowers students to gain confidence and 21st Century Literacies, including leadership development and informal STEAM skills. I draw from an eclectic background, focused on the use of design and design thinking, to integrate emerging technologies and new media in contemporary theater in an academic setting.
