2. How the research helped me in
my final product
I now know how the audience would
expect the design, and the kind of style I
should design it in.

3. How the CD cover fits into the
conventions of the genre
My CD cover matches the acoustic nature
of my artist music, the natural location
and, various smooth focuses to keep
with the trend. Large leading was also
used similar to other acoustic artists
which could be a representation of the
relaxed style of music

4. How my CD cover appeals to
the target audience
The scene can be very eye-catching when
on the shelf, also the style complements
the artist so the audience can receive
signifiers what to hear. It is primarily
designed for mass genre viewing.

5. The editing process
I used Adobe Photoshop CS5 for the cover
design, the artist is isolated from the rest
of the scene and coloured (lightly) the
background is black and white, multiple
levels of Gaussian blur have been used
to represent DoF (Depth of Field).

6. What went well
The cutting around my artist was a
highlight of a good process that
occurred, it was accurate and precise
and did its job very well.
Another feature that went well was the
actual photography, I managed to attain
many good shots that would work well
for my CD cover.

7. Even better if
It would have been better if I planned it
better so I already knew what I wanted
to for the shots, and also plan what I
was going to do when it came to the
editing stage.

8. What I have learnt from this and
how it will help me in my next
project
I know that I need to plan the structure
more while keeping a consistent use of
house colours.
