A key title is used to inform
the reader on the topic of
the article/documentary and
briefly summaries this in a
few words. The key title is
often in a larger font than
the other text in the article.
A bigger size letter is often
used at the beginning of the
first paragraph this is known
as a 'Drop Capital'. This a
common convection of
double page spreads.
3. Layout
A column layout is often
used and is a typical
convection of a double
page spread. It allows the
double page spread to
appear professional and
makes it look more neat.
An important feature of a
TV Listings article is to
have to date, time and
channel of the program.
This informs the audience
of the program showing.
4. Even More!
Minor images are often used to allows the DPS to have
more interest for the reader and to present additional
background knowledge. Whereas the main image is
used to establish who the subject is featured in the
article, it also attracts the readers attention quickly.
Quotes or pull quotes are often used to empathise and
main point being made and also can allow the article to
be more interesting and intriguing.
Page numbers are often used and allow the audience to
quickly navigate around the magazine.
