PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 
At Home Healthcare, Tyler Texas October 2005 to July 2014 
Database Developer, Analyst, Administrator 
 Created an HRIS database in which I pulled common data from three separate database 
platforms and created the tables for all other points of data. This enabled a single-entry point 
for all HR data not required in each of the other platforms. 
o Created dozens of SSRS reports with many using complex procedures to both meet state 
reporting requirements and audits as well as internal tracking and reporting 
 Create multiple SSIS packages to provide data for a number of third-party programs. Two of 
these were for HealthcareSource’s Performance Manager and Equifax’s TALX. 
 Created an SSIS package to import, monthly, the data from federal and state sources in relation 
to individuals and companies that were excluded from receiving any wages where the funds 
came from any type of Medicare or Medicaid revenue source. This also involved custom 
reports that utilized procedures to compare the source data with the internal company data. 
 Developed a database to contain and manage client complaints in accordance with state 
regulations. This is where all of the documenting and handling of any complaints filed by a 
client resided. SSRS Reports were created to track and comply with state audit/survey 
requirements.
 SSIS packages were created to exchange data with a telephony-service provider. The company, 
Sandata, provided Santrax to agencies working with any of the State of Texas programs which 
provided attendant-oriented services to home-bound patients. 
o The packages required procedures to both extract the data to send to Santrax as well as 
triggers to enter the completed time – once the SSIS package had uploaded the data 
into the related tables 
 Integrated dozens of custom reports, using Crystal Reports, into Cerner’s HomeWorks 
application. This required many complex procedures and views, along with internal Sybase 
tables to hold some of the most arduous data results. These saved management hundreds of 
hours each month, along with saving accounting/billing three days when closing each month. 
 Wrote numerous procedures to provide management and end-users with SSRS reports for the 
division utilizing Datalogic’s Vesta application. Only a handful of the application’s internal 
reports were used. 
 Assured billing was current with patient insurance changes by using SSIS. Patient insurance 
coverage changed so often, that some services were being provided without the correct 
insurance coverage. This was due to the time it took for the billing department to become 
aware and enter the changes. By utilizing semi-automation, they were kept up-to-date to 
reduce the age of the A/R or even non-billable hours. 
 Created an internal HRIS by combining common data from three different application databases 
 Created reports to handle the Quality Improvement of the management of the OASIS 
 Created forecasted Revenue for the Adult Care division. This enabled them to see what 
episodes needed extra attention to make it a win-win episode for both the patient and the 
company.

 Showed how by bringing the telephony in-house we could see a savings of $2,100k over three 
(3) years. This was using an AS/400 based application for the telephony 
 Explained the efficiency of having the EVV internal would give them the ability to tie directly to 
the scheduling and payroll database files 
 Introduced a solution for centralizing payroll that would result in an annual savings of $58,000 
plus the savings we would get from seeing a reduction-in-force of up to 17 staff

 Recommended rewriting the Medicare application on the AS/400 instead of buying a Windows - 
based product. This resulted in a savings of over $150,000 plus direct interfacing with our 
financial and personnel application 
 Saved the company 1,008 man-hours per year by changing a six-person 50 man-hour payroll 
process task to an 8 hour single-individual process 
 Created a semi-automated process to reduce the potential monthly losses from non-billable 
hours an employee works for a client. This resulted in an annual savings of up to $18,000 in 
payroll costs 
 Improved the payroll-to-billing process to where the billing is sent one day after payroll is 
processed instead of five days 
 Negotiated, purchased and directed the installation of all hardware and software making sure 
to keep a standardized design throughout the company
