As being a proud representative of the AAA Safety Patrol program I was taught the value of
patience. For instance, when someone needed help I would listen and provide my insight. In few
instances when a school bus would arrive after the students were let out of school I would patiently
wait with the students in order to ensure their safety and assist the younger students who were
unaware of where their bus was and direct them where to go. I apply the value of patience in my
everyday life because I often volunteer in first grade or kindergarten classrooms and in order to

choices in the classroom and while I was patrolling because I was not only representing myself but

Border Patrol staffing; construction of new infrastructure and fencing; use of advanced technology

partnerships and information sharing, we are creating a safer, more secure, and more efficient border
environment" (Border security overview, 2013, DHS). However, some outside analysts have called
into question the DHS claim that it has made substantive improvements to limiting access to the
