granederos and la brigada blanca ran into the crowd and indiscriminately began to break up the
peaceful crowd. Although there are no official counts of those who were killed, it is estimated that
hundreds died and countless other were injured, or disappeared completely that night. The massacre
at Tlatelolco signified the inability of the PRI regime to control the opposition. Their techniques of
oppression and coercion were no longer working – the regime faced trouble. Tlatelolco marked the
beginning of a new political era: one of mutual distrust between the people and government.

forms, the social and political implications that the movement had has a deeper impact in Mexican
history. Although the students initiated the movement in response to the acts of disproportionate
violence that the government acted in towards the students, it continued to be fueled by underlying
issues with the government. For one, the students were enraged at the expenditures that Mexico was
making for the Olympic Games; they viewed the Olympic Games as a spectacle for the world, while

My Dreams In My Life
One summer afternoon after indulging on General Tso's Tofu and spring rolls I cracked open the
crisp fortune cookie and received a vague prophecy reading "old dreams never die; they just get
filed away". My friend next to me interpreted my fortune to say that I will give up on my dreams.
My other friend then believed it said that growing up meant acquiring new aspirations. Everyone
around the table seemed to have their own perception of what it meant, although they all perceived it
to be a rather pessimistic and unfortunate fortune. I disagreed. I understood the aphorism to mean
that although we mature, we hold on to our ambitions as they set the foundations for who we are.
While reflecting on my old dreams a specific assignment from preschool came to mind. We were
asked what we wanted to be when we grew up. Common answers from the class included princess,
fireman, teacher and all the typical ambitions of young children. I remember my answer simply was
a helper. When asked to elaborate I simply said my goal was to help people. I don't believe my old
dreams were given up on, I believe they were filed away in the sense I have continued to hold on to
them even as I have grown up. I see myself working towards that goal when I volunteered at a
doctor's office where I had the privilege of personally aiding the patients. Shadowing a family

Moreover, there has been a concerted effort to converge countries' reporting standards. But despite
this effort substantial differences in countries' reporting regulation and practices remain. This paper
explores these differences and the reasons why they exist as well as why they are likely to persist in
the foreseeable future. My analysis and comparison are conducted at a fairly high level to emphasise
that reporting regulation is a part of a country's broader institutional framework. Throughout the
paper, I give special emphasis to enforcement issues because of two related reasons. *The author is

Institutional racism has solidified its position into various aspects of American society. It has
installed itself into employment practices, all levels of education, healthcare, housing, politics and
the criminal justice system. Institutional racism has made some subtle changes to replace the
boldness of slavery and Jim Crow. However, in educational institutions the effects of racism and
discrimination are so delicate they typically go unnoticed by students of color. Individual racism
usually happens on the personal level where the prejudice is expressed either consciously or

I know today that my mom was raised with a racist perspective or perhaps even a white supremacist

Sandra Bland, Mike Brown, and Tamir Rice – these are just some of the names of the unarmed
Black people whose lives were taken by police officers in the last year. The alarming rate at which
young Black men and women are being killed is evidence that their lives are not held with high
regard. Police brutality against young Black men and women has been perpetrated at alarming rates.
Yet, we have not seen much, if any, consequences or responsibility taken by the policemen
committing these crimes. Often times, the families of these young men and women who, because of
their race, have been killed by police officers have not seen any justice, instead the names of their
loved ones go from headlines to outdated hashtags. Not only do young Black men and women face
the chance of being criminalized on the street, but also such targeting begins at a young age in
institutions that are typically regarded as "safe places", such as the classroom. We see evidence of

First, the aggressor in this situation is only 15 years old. At 15 years old, the aggressor felt it both
necessary and acceptable to violently attack another player. Moreover, the 15 year old victim

today. Racism is any negative thought or action toward members of a racial minority or any
manifestation of racial inequality. There are different types of racism: Individual racism,

Definition Of Version Control Solutions
Version Control is an important thing when you're working on projects with several different people
involved. One could argue that it's important even if you're working by yourself since you can
maintain consistent backups of your projects. Throughout the years, Unity3D has had several
different built–in version control solutions. One of the best ones, in my opinion, was the Unity
Asset Server. Unfortunately, the Asset Server is now a legacy product and it sounds like Unity will

Race as a social construct refers to a group that is socially and culturally defined on the basis of
physical criteria. During European colonisation, Europeans came into contact with people from
different areas of the world and after speculating the physical, cultural and social differences
between the groups; these groups were placed in races. By defining racial classifications, racism
ensues. Racism is discriminating, exerting prejudice and or power over a group or individual based
on the belief that an individual's group is superior to another. Shadism is dependant upon the
existence of Racism. Shadism refers to the amount of melanin in a person's skin, which is used to

When a black family moves into a new home in a neighbourhood dominated by white people, and
their home is consequently vandalised or the subject of arson attacks, it is deemed by people to be
intolerable and racist. It is institutional racism when slum landlords and loan sharks pry on the black

In 1971, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum was to present a solo show of Haacke's work, which
was to include the controversial piece, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum Board of Trustees (1974),
but the museum director cancelled the exhibition. This was partially due to Haacke's refusal to omit
the work from the show, but mostly because of the piece's subject matter. This piece consists of two

The Racialization Of Racism In Law Enforcement
There is a long history of racially motivated abuse in the United States, but has it translated in the
form of law enforcement? There are countless reports and allegations of racial profiling, excessive
force, illegal searches and seizures, and entrapment, perpetrated by police officers on a daily basis.
In recent years, much due to the prevalence of smartphones, these situations have been well
documented and after a continuing string of very publicized police shootings of unarmed Black
people, many assert that the entire law enforcement system is inherently racist. Arguably, the murder
of Trayvon Martin in 2012 sparked the recent backlash and protests though it wasn't specifically law
enforcement, but the infamous Stand Your Ground law, that resulted in his murderer, George
Zimmerman, going free and similar laws that are responsible for officers that use excessive force
going unpenalized. In response organizations like Black Lives Matter have emerged and are
challenging the system and demanding policy change. Yet there are still those who claim that the
system itself is not rigged, but rather its people hyper–focusing on isolated incidents and that it is
not the systems fault that certain kinds of people are more prone to crime and violence. I have read
