This document outlines guiding principles and policies for responsible research conduct and authorship. It discusses that researchers must conduct themselves ethically with integrity, observe fairness, demonstrate honesty, manage conflicts of interest, and respect human and animal research participants. Regarding authorship, it states that to be listed as an author one must make substantial contributions to conceiving, designing, analyzing or interpreting data, or writing the work. All listed authors must agree to the final submitted version. Contributions like acquiring funding or collecting data alone do not justify authorship. The work is adapted from Macquarie University's code for responsible research conduct.
