Current Working Practices Of Ajs Maps A Company
Firstly, I will be exploring about the current working practices of AJS Maps a company, which provides and creates the maps mainly for the Tourist
Industry. E.g., Tourist Information Brochure. However, there are other businesses such as Restaurants who want menus for their customers. There are
currently many strengths and weaknesses for the working practices. However, in general there are more weaknesses.
There are offices for the staffs to do the projects. This means that the staffs will have plenty of space to do the tasks in a room. As, well, as the
colleagues can help one another if they are confused with a particular task they are unaware of. However, the disadvantage is that there are no hardware
and software's, which means that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Internet can be explained as a network of computers, designed to receive and send data in the form of e–mails, blogs, webcasts, etc.
Even though, AJS are losing customers there are various ways of attracting and appealing the tourist industries and other businesses. They could create
an online catalogue, which allows the customers to see the layouts and designs of the products. This allows the customer to be more interactive. My
research has shown that 70% companies use this method to appeal to their customers. If these opportunities are available it would fascinate more
customers.
One of the weaknesses is that the staffs don 't have qualified skills to design the web pages. This means that the staffs are more likely to have fewer
skills and are unable to create the web page professionally and would have limited possibilities. Therefore, if the staffs are provided with opportunities
to learn – retraining. This would mean that the staffs would be able to manage the page on a regular basis. Instead of recruiting new staffs with higher
salary. This would save the company revenue as well as make the website interactive and appeal to the customers.
Moreover, to add web traffic they would charge the tourist industry for sharing the link and other businesses. This is another way of making profit. For
example, for the tourist industries it will be an advantage, but to AJS Maps they will receive more customers for providing

Current Issues Of Museums And Galleries Journal
"Current Issues in Museums and Galleries Journal"
The purpose of this journal is to document my journey through the module. I intend as well to show how the texts have influenced my viewpoints, and
contributed to my understanding of museums and visitors attitudes – mainly relating to the locations of our visits.
Furthermore, I wanted to capture my musings and key passages from some of the books on the reading list, and alternate writings I discovered along
the way. A lot of the issues raised in these texts have affected my way of thinking; not only for this module, but also for day–to–day attitudes. The
narrative below comes around between 1,000 and 3,000 word limit.

I believe that older people have the right to promote their social, cultural and emotional capacities. So, this week I discovered a very interesting article
about museum lifelong learning of the aging people. According Hui–Jong Hsieh, the expanding number of elderly population has the outcome of
confronting not only the reshape of social structure, the redistribution of recourses, but also the complex relationships of multi generations with
assorted mindsets,
behavior and values. However, the attraction of elderly audiences requires certain changes from the part of exhibitions halls. Museums should offer
discount or free entrance for over 65s and provide facilities such as wheelchair ramp, elevators, wheelchair for the disabled, enlarged front brochures
and large print information for individuals and visual impairments, the medical kit, study stool or reading glasses for any visitor who need them. It is
really a big subject and many questions come to my mind. How can museums afford so huge expenses? Does it open ways to politics to involve in
museums policies? How dangerous is it about the future of museums?

Why people visit museums?
According Falk race/ ethnicity, age, education, occupation and curiosity are some indications of who visit museums. However, the main characteristic
is "identity" which is the internal and external social forces. Each of us can hold

Big Data And Its Effect On Our Lives
It is that time of year again, to sit back, and reflect on everything that has happened in the past year and to make predictions of what will happen in
the years to come. The new job that is starting to move out of the woodworks is 'Big Data.' These large volumes of data are being used in ways no
one could have imagined years ago. Data analysts are using this newly found information to improve the world around us, from helping companies
make a more efficient profit, research the climate changes, or improve how people live their daily lives. According to Investopedia, Big Data is, "The
growth in volume of structured and unstructured data, the speed at which it is created and collected, and the scope of how many points are covered. Big

Laney uses velocity because data streams are getting faster and more efficient in speed as the days go on. This is due to the fact that the information
they are uncovering is crucial to their business; therefore it has to be dealt with in a timely fashion. The last V is variety. The data that is collected
comes in an assortment of formats: structured, numerical data, email, video, audio, and financial transactions (What is Big Data?). SAS Institution
considers two more features to properly define big data to it's fullest: variability and complexity. Big data has variability due to the fact data flows are
highly inconsistent. They are inconsistent because of trends, seasonal, and event–triggered peaks making data always coming in, in different
quantities. Collecting the data is complex and tricky because it comes from a variety of sources, in many different formats, making it difficult to link,
match, cleanse, and transform data to make connections and correlations (What is Big Data?). The amount of data, and how complex it is, is not what
is important. It is what businesses do with the data matters. When analysts look at the data they take into consideration for key concepts: cost
reductions, time reductions, new product development and optimized offerings, and smart decisions making. By looking closely at these four key
points, businesses can accomplish: determining root causes of failures, generating coupons at the point of a sale where they can

New York 's Jewish Museum
September 16, 2016, Take me (I'm Yours) took place at New York's Jewish Museum, as its first ever exhibition made possible by digital crowdfunding
campaign via Kickstarter. With a total $31,018 pledged, 340 backers helped forty–two international and intergenerational artists create 400,000+
artworks to be given away during this unconventional exhibition, visitors are encouraged to participate, touch, and even take the artworks on view
home with them.
Crowdfunding has become commonplace in the art world, but the Jewish Museum launched its first Kickstarter campaign for a number of reasons, of
course, in order to fabricate the thousands upon thousands of artworks needed to keep the show fully–stocked throughout its run. Also through ... Show

clearly not an object but a process, what is important to conserve here, for the future display of the work, is the participative intent of the work, in
which case, then the very nature of what is documented about exhibitions becomes particularly important. (The People Speak 2012) (Graham, 2013)
"Take Me (I'm Yours)" is an "extremely radical exhibition that really quintessentially questions the very core what a museum is," said Jens Hoffmann,
Director of Special Exhibitions and Public Programs. Jewish Museum keeps the exhibition processes accessible to all aspects of participatory behaviour
by audiences, and draws in the wider potential participatory systems, such as, audience curating, documenting, collecting, and preserving. As Boltanski
told Hoffmann in a newly published conversation about the show, "in thirty years we might see something someone took away from the Jewish
Museum's exhibition emerge at a public auction." (Cascone, 2016)
The choice of Jewish Museum to use a more distributed model rather than a traditional centralized model, reflects on Nina Simon's four categories of

The Effects Of Stress On Captive Zoo Animals
Introduction.
The effects of stress on captive zoo animals has been a major concern among zoologists as well as zookeepers in recent years (Fernandez et al.2009).
In previous studies, one of the major factors inducing stress in captive animals that appears to have been overlooked, are the noise levels created by
the presence of zoo visitors and the effectiveness of the design of indoor zoo exhibits in reducing the noise levels in particular. While research exists
showing that the presence of zoo visitors can be a source of enrichment for captive animals, particularly those who are social by nature, further
investigations have indicated that visitor presence can in fact be a source of stress in non–social species including felids (Hosey 2000). ... Show more

This study will look at the effectiveness of the exhibit design in preventing noise pollution caused by the increased number of visitors to the Milwaukee
County Zoo jaguar exhibit. The exhibit which contains both an indoor portion which is designed to resemble the jaguar's native jungle habitat as
well as an outdoor portion, currently houses three adult jaguars, Pat, Stella, and Francisco. Both Pat, who is 16 years old and formally a "Problem
jaguar" from Belize, and Stella who came to the Milwaukee County Zoo in 2005, live together as a breeding pair (K. Kuhn in conversation). Francisco
is the 2–year–old son of Pat and Stella and lives alone (K. Kuhn in conversation). Over the course of six weeks, I will be collecting data using Wensen
WS1361C decibel meters which are equipped with data loggers. The decibel meters will be used both inside and outside the jaguar exhibit to
determine the effectiveness of the exhibit design. To analyze the zoo visitor effect, as well as the frequency of stress–related behavioral responses
observed, data will be collected during on three different days of the week both through observation of the jaguars as well as later analysis of the data
recorded by the decibel meters. Data will be collected both on days where zoo visitation is predicted to increase, which are designated as "Family Free
Days," where visitors receive free admission as well as "Non–Family Free days" and Thursday afternoons where a decrease in zoo visitation is
predicted for observation time totaling a minimum of 15 hours. The recorded data will then be analyzed to determine if the increased noise pollution
created by an increase in zoo visitors will correlate with an increase in stress–related behavioral responses by the jaguars.

The World Of The Exhibition Is Urban Studies, Artists...
Through an obscure door, an arc–shaped and bright space appears upon. It seems to be hard to catch the points over space. Massive glass constitutes
a wall covering almost half of space, and sunshine penetrates into the gallery. It is pretty windy when I was visiting there, the shadow from clouds
rapidly flowing around the ground strongly results in distraction. There is some colourful debris spread everywhere, looking like the small
plaster–made cans, lining beneath the wall at the corner. (see fig. 2) Huge security fences of construction site built in the gallery, such like a labyrinth,
the canvas covering them with abstract and blurred graffiti. Piles and piles of breeze blocks are put on the ground, they look like the sculptures but
without any text intimating. The sand bags settled as an foundation of panels, the colour–dyed glass bottles inserted as the flags. The title of the
exhibition is Urban Studies, artists Simon and Tom brothers use the quoting words from Walter Benjamin, as a cue to lead visitors to form their
transformative experience. There are three transformations managed to reach, the curatorial habit which is used to regarding as gallery space; the
materials from construction to artistic production; viewing experience from closed space to an open and interactive relationship. The key intention
behind exhibition is connecting outside environment and inside space. To reflect the relationship of artworks and construction site, there is a response

Cultural Relevance, Understanding And Education
Cultural relevance, understanding and education are the key areas that modern museums seem to be addressing seriously. As a public institution a
museum must consider its role in society, the way culture is represented and displayed and most of all, how interpretation affects those not of museum
training backgrounds, for example a visitor or patron. Some would argue that art, is an expression of a culture and its political and economic values
(Hein 2006), while others would suggest that is the artifacts of long lost peoples and cultures that have the most worth to the public (Sabeti 2015).
The mixture of these two mediums seems like an obvious step in achieving reinterpretation, presenting political messages, and displaying the

(Stam 1993). One way this may be interpreted is that a shift towards a more open, interactive style of museum exhibition should be the starting point of
exhibition planning and execution.
The discussions and in some cases successful installations of eco museums for example, represent the ever shifting and changing people and cultures,
instead of the static and non–changed ancient cultural heritage of forgotten civilizations and their material culture. The eco museum provides no
exclusion of peoples or histories. With some limited success in exposing the cultures of ever changing people and customs to a larger audience in
eco–museums, other historical institutions have frankly missed the mark. "The 'new museology' started with the intention of introducing a new
philosophy around how museums function and a changed relationships between museums and their societies and communities" (McCall and Gray
2014).
The framework suggested in the museology based on how a new function of museums can be achieved, really leaves one to ponder just how effective
the application of literature surrounding these ideas can actually be when put into practice. There is no clear checklist of steps to achieve such a
change in the framework and context of a museum as an educational institution, as a cultural reference or as an open public forum, so the missing
re–interpretation can sometimes be taken on by an

that help to set up the equipment such as the Under 8s Super Heroes Bouncy Castle; to keep the children active. Even though the majority of the
activities are provided by them, they didn't include the prices to hire the equipment or staff. Therefore, I used a different website. There is a variety

The Current Global Advancements Of Technology
With the current global advancements in technology, organizations have been left with no choice, other than joining the revolution and providing
digital content for the public. In the same spirit, Housing Works has invested in the online platform, through the creation of the website,
www.housingworks.org. Through the site, it is able to communicate its mission, purpose and vision, and then welcome the public to contact them with
their feedback. The following are the means used by the website to communicate with the public: The most prominent mode of communication on the
website is the use of testimonials. In fact, this element is strategically placed at the topmost section of the website. As such, the website visitors get the
earliest opportunity to read the testimonials about how the organization has been successful in helping people who are infected with (or affected by)
HIV/AIDS. This is a very effective mode of communication, since it not only informs the visitors about the organization, but also encourages them to
keep reading the web content.
Secondly, the website uses headlines to communicate its mission. This is its most effective means of communication. Housing Works' officialmission
statement explains that the organization aims at helping people living with (or affected by) HIV/AIDS, through advocacy, service provision, and
entrepreneurial businesses. It, then, uses the three pillars of its mission as the main headings of the site. Therefore, visitors to the

TERM III – Assignment 2 PR No: 150101619192
Date: 15 Aug'2016 Submitted by: F. B. Vimal Anand Franklin
Q1. Explain service blue printing and how it helps in service design.
Service Blueprinting is a method within the Service Engineering process that enables the user to have a framework for viewing service improvement.
It is a visual tool that helps one see the experience a customer has with the service from a holistic viewpoint. It gives not just the end–to–end view of
the experience, but also exposes the "behind–the–scenes" work that shows how the experience is designed and more importantly how it was delivered.
The process of building a service blue print involves the below steps:
1. The identification of the service process, that is supposed to be blueprinted
2. The identification of the customer segment / customers who are supposed to experience the service
3. Picturing the service from the customer's perspective
4. Picturing the actions of the contact employee (onstage and backstage), and/or technology actions
5. Linking the contact activities to the needed support functions
6. Adding the evidence of service for every customer action step Blueprinting a service helps to display the real moments of the service provision and
provides a better understanding of the process and service success factors. The drill down approach starting from the customer action to kick off the
service delivery process, front

The Great Exhibition Of 1851 By Louis Haghe, Joseph Nash...
Compiled in 1854 by Louis Haghe, Joseph Nash and David Roberts, Dickinson 's Comprehensive Pictures of the Great Exhibition of 1851 reveals large
amounts of information regarding exhibitionary cultures in the nineteenth century. The catalogue was produced for Prince Albert, who was the patron
of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. This source suggests the Great Exhibition followed a similar trend
how museums mainly operated in the nineteenth century. Most images in the catalogue represent the Victorian notion of progress, making visitors
react a certain way to exhibits and also influencing behaviour generally throughout the museum to the same way that Foucault shows with the concept
of the Panopticon. Using the images of Moving Machinery, General View of the Exterior of the Building and The Transept in the Comprehensive
Pictures catalogue, this essay will analyse each of these images to show their revelation of exhibitionary cultures, which means to critically understand
attitudes to the way which museums operate exhibitions. It will also examine how historians responded to the historiographical debate surrounding the
Great Exhibition, and argues that the Great Exhibition was generally successful and that it had a mainstream exhibitionary culture compared with other
museums in the nineteenth century.
The glorification of the country 's engineering achievements is depicted in the Moving Machinery image. The huge structures of the

Main Roles Of Housekeeping
THE ROLE THAT HOUSEKEEPING PLAYS IN THE OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT OF HOTELS.
If we need to review the role that housekeeping plays in the operations and management of hotel. Firstly we have to define what is it Housekeeping in
general. House Keeping is a heart of the hotel management industry. Hotels, motels, and inns around the world can succeed without ballrooms, meeting
rooms, swimming pools, or even restaurants. But the one thing every successful lodging establishment must have, regardless of it's size, location, or
industry segment, is clean rooms. Room sales generally drive 70 percent or more of the revenues generated by lodging establishments. Without a well
managed housekeeping department, there would be no rooms to sell (Martin R. J.,1998) Each department ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Housekeeping department plays essential role for front office and by description of some operations we can understand principle of this work in life.
Guestrooms in lodging properties are sold by the front office. The front office desk must know at every given moment what rooms have been cleaned
and are available for the guests. Housekeeping must provide the front desk with a listing of rooms that are ready for occupancy so guests can be
checked in. In the communication between two departments is poor or breaks down, delays in guest check–in will occur , or people will be checked
into rooms that are thought to be ready but that in fact are occupied or not ready. If this happens often, the hotel's reputation will suffer. Usually work

Literary Analysis : A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings
A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings Analysis The story, "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings", has a lot of deeper meanings and irony
embedded in the plot. However, one idea hung in my mind throughout the whole story. The cold nature of humans and how they treat other people
without knowing a single thing about them. Also the selfish things they will do to benefit from a situation. Most people will make sure they're doing
well before they check on someone in need. They are so focused on themselves that they forget that there are other people who would greatly
appreciate and absolutely need help but are overlooked by selfish, self centered individuals. The cold nature of humans was a deep meaning I got from
the story. People are so quick to judge by a first impression or by physical quality that they don't even realize it's wrong. In the story, when the old
man was found by Pelayo, they didn't know what to do with him so they sought help from the "wise neighbor woman". She suggested that he
should be beaten to death with a club. This is an example of a cold, selfish person because she saw that it was a weak old man that probably didn't
have much to offer and decided it was best to just kill him without knowing a thing about the man for certain. Another instance where you could
clearly see the vile ways of humans is when Pelayo locks the old man in the chicken coop. It is very inhumane especially because they initially
thought he was a fallen angel. Instead of inviting him into the house for a warm and safer environment, they leave him outside like an animal.
People will only keep something if they are benefitting from it themselves. It's the "What's in it for me" type of mindset. The selfish mindset that
most people possess and is seen so widespread throughout business and everyday life. An example would be when Elisenda noticed how much
attention the old man was getting so she started charging an entry fee for visitors to see him. It was a great way to profit from the visitors. However,
the selfish part about it is that the old man was not compensated in any way for the things he was being put through. The visitors would throw stones
and pluck feathers off the old man's wings to see if they could get any

Analysis Of A Trip To The Lowell National Park Visitor Center
On my way to the Boott Cotton Museum in downtown Lowell, we'd driven by Market Street which was located nearby. It had caught my eye with its
charming little shops and cobblestoned streets, and from that moment on, I longed to explore it and its surroundings. A few days later, I decided it
would be the time for me to venture to Market Street. I prepped my backpack for the journey that lay ahead. It would be my first time discovering
Lowell–alone–the prospect of which contributed to my blended excitement and nervousness.

That is exactly what I had set out to do.
I first headed down Shattuck Street. Observing the sights around me, a burst of green appeared in the corner of my eye when my gaze swept over
what appeared to be the balconies of apartments. Looking more closely, I made out the bushy shapes of plants. I remarked that someone living in the
middle of this city had the time and energy to maintain a small garden of sorts. The sight of plants surviving, persevering, in an unnatural place was
surprising. It may seem a bit trivial, but if plants could grow here, then so could I, as well as the multitude of people who had already settled here
(who already had). This reasoning was reassuring to me, at its best.

At the street's end emerged the Visitor Center–another giant mill building–confirmed by the "Market Mills" sign posted above the entrance. Its metallic
lettering was nearly indiscernible in the afternoon sunlight glinting off the gold finish, though my trusty map guided me to the correct location.

Museum Reflection
Throughout this course, I have reaffirmed my desire to engage others in the process of learning. I have always been fascinated by the potential
museums possess to involve visitors in inquiry and even cultivate a love for learning. Accordingly, my goal has always been to bring my passion for
learning to museum visitors. Due to my background in archaeology, I have always given the bulk of my attention to objects within museums, giving
little thought to my own experience let alone the experiences of others. Museums Today: Missions and Function, however, has taught me to emphasize
the museum audience and the experience of visiting rather than the collection itself. The concept of being audience focused rather than collections

It is important to remember that not all learning occurs by reading labels or taking tours. Learning about oneself or connecting to an object through
quiet contemplation is just as valuable for learners and still, fosters a relationship with acquiring knowledge. Allowing a visitor to choose how they
acquire knowledge in a way that best fits their needs is vital to creating a positive outlook regarding the process of learning.
Another way that one can cultivate a love of learning in the museum is through engaging exhibitions. The methodical approach that the Monterey Bay
Aquarium takes in designing its exhibitions exemplifies how to create engaging programming. The aquarium focuses on its mission, the message of the
exhibit, and the type of visitor they want to attract before they begin to plan the exhibit itself. By using this method, the exhibition is guided by its
message rather than by design. Of course, an exhibition in which the meaning is readily apparent is more engaging than one that is aesthetically
pleasing but has an unclear message. Understanding the message gives the visitor the opportunity to continue thinking about the collection long after
they have left the museum. For this reason, there are more avenues for learning as well. This kind planning shifts the focus to the audience and how
they interact with the collection rather than the collection itself, which is

Essay On Sugarlands Visitor Center
Day 1 Sugarlands Visitor Center, Elkmont Campground, Abrams Trail, and Abrams Falls As I arrived in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, I entered the main
entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park proceeding directly to the Sugarlands Visitor Center. First, I watched a twenty–minute
documentary film about the history of the Smoky Mountains, including wildlife and nature that visitors might encounter, plus activities offered in the
park. While browsing the interactive museum, I discovered stunning, authentic wildlife exhibits with native plants. Ranger Sam answered my
questions, advised me on wildlife sightings, and recommended sites to visit within the park. The bookstore offered visitors interesting books, maps,
badges, postcards, and a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Initially, we crossed a grassy meadow, and then navigated onto steep rugged terrain. Traveling at a slow, steady pace, the sound of creaking
saddles and rustling leaves from the crisp breeze was the only thing you could hear for miles. As we ventured across several clear rushing streams,
my horse decided to abruptly stop for a quick drink. The hearty green foliage was beautiful as mountain laurel and flame azalea scattered the old dirt
trail while the sun peeked through the trees casting shadows. The trail weaved up the mountain and the higher we climbed the narrower the trail
became; therefore, looking down was quite a frightening experience. After an hour of riding Joe, our guide, took the group to an overlook area that
had spectacular views of mountains and nearby hills. The dancing wisps of clouds hung over the mountains, and according to Joe, "the Cherokee
referred to the mountains as being 'shaconage' or blue, like smoke" (Oswald 98). As the group proceeded down the mountain, the trail became rocky
and muddy, making our ride quite lively heading back to the stables. Sadly, another awesome adventure has ended, but the memories will last forever.
That evening at the campground, I enjoyed cooking my trout over an open campfire and reminiscing about the last three days. Few experiences have
uplifted my spirit more than the beauty of the mountaintops, valleys, wildlife, and the natural wonders of the Great Smoky

Author Bonnie S Harris I love it when experts like Chris Brogan says there 's no such thing as a 'social media expert ' because I 've always said
there 's no such thing as a 'marketing expert ' either. Or a "public relations expert" for that matter. You might be the most educated, the most
experienced 'expert ' but there 's no way to predict the exact combination of competitive, online, media, and economic environments facing a
particular brand, company or author. So when you go about setting your goals, remember that you are probably the best 'expert ' when it comes to
your company and it 's virtually impossible to compare your own results to others...especially where social media is concerned. What other medium is
changing as rapidly as this one? When I help companies set goals for social media I try to get them to identify three different types of goals: 1)
quantitative, 2) qualitative, and 3) a special set of goals that you might consider the equivalent of winning the social media lottery. Let 's start with
quantitative goals, since those

Provide Reception Services
Provide Reception Services
1 пѓ Understand the purpose of reception services in a business environment:
1.1Explain the purpose of the receptionist role as the first point of contact between the public/client and an organisation:
The receptionist that the customer meets/speaks to first needs to give a good impression of the company, they need to appear very professional, this can
be portrayed in many different ways including personal appearance and how you are seen to act towards customers.
If on the front desk then when anybody comes in they will see you first, you will need to be seen as mature, initiative and show you have respect for
other employees and the customer basis. Regardless of any situation you will need to have a positive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All thoughts should be positive, once you start having negative thoughts you put yourself down which reflects on how you act towards others. Accept
the fact that everyone does have flaws and that is just part of being human, once you accept this you will realise that it's not all as bad as it seems.
Instead of focusing on everything that you are unable to do, focus on everything that you excel in, if you're struggling with a task then ask for help and
don't let that put you down. Don't bully yourself, don't second guess yourself, if you expect too much of yourself then you'll be disappointed when you
don't achieve this.
You also cannot blame yourself for everything that goes wrong, not everything is going to be your fault, in some cases when you are 100% wrong
apologising is a good quality, but you shouldn't feel the need to apologise for everyone else's mistakes.
All of these aspects add to a positive image, which is very important in any company, you need to do all these things for both yourself and also the
business; the happier you are the happier the customers are going to be.
2пѓ Understand the procedure to be followed when providing reception services:
2.1Describe the structure and lines of communication in an organisation:
Structure and communication both depend on the size of the business, the larger the business the more ways of communication and the wider structure.
Flat structures are the most common for smaller businesses, this just allows key staff

The Exhibition Experience Using Falk And Dierking 's...
People gather halfway through the Andy Warhol exhibition, at The Portland Art Museum, in front of a looping short film of Warhol eating a burger
ending with "I'm Andy Warhol and I just finished eating a burger" (, n.d.). The exhibition, provided by the Jordan Schnitzer family, is the largest
collection of Warhol's work to ever be on display (PortlandArt Museum, n.d.). I will be evaluating the Warhol exhibition experience using Falk and
Dierking's Interactive Experience Model (IEM). IEM entails factors form both outside and inside the institution, contributing to the museum experience
in three different contexts, the sociocultural (social), physical, and personal. Unknowingly the visitor uses these contexts to interact with the exhibition
and museum, before, during and after the visit takes place. Museum staff can use these contexts to evaluate the visitor experience determining the
success of the exhibition and revealing areas for improvement.
Researching a museum before the visit is an important factor in the visitor gaining useful knowledge on the exhibition and experience ahead. Upon
visiting the website I was able find large amounts of information pertaining to the Warhol exhibition that would be beneficial for my visit. The website
provided concise information on the museum location, parking information in the area, cost of admission, and should expected and gained from the
exhibition. The large exhibition has been built to display a timeline of Warhol's

City Of Fountains : Creativity And Inspiration
City of Fountains
Creativity and Inspiration Many people living in Kansas City do not appreciate one of the things their home is known for, fountains. A member of our
group originally thought of the nickname "City of Fountains", so we took that idea and expanded it. Our exhibit would not only educate our
community about a subject they never would have thought of, but would implement a curiosity about the history of this city for young minds to learn
as well. We also thought that the exhibit should look aesthetically pleasing due to the fact that it would be outside and seen by hundreds of people
each day. Therefore, fountains would be a perfect fit since they are already used for decoration. Visitors would be able to interact and create fountains
of their own design, maybe even inspiring future engineers in the field. In the end, we concluded this would be the most educational and exciting
exhibit.
One of our many goals we hope to achieve with this presentation is to show the STEM ideas. These are science, technology, engineering, and
mathematics.
Science: Visitors will explore the science behind fountains, including descriptions of water pressure and how things of the liking work. Visitors will
also be able to control and experiment with water pressure.
Technology: There will be an attraction placed in the center where visitors will be welcome to use the tablets provided to use an app made specifically
for the exhibit to design fountains, learn facts, and take quizzes

The service concept of Cadbury World is the form, function and overall purpose of the design and the benefits it will provide to meet the needs and
expectations of the customers. By means of form, the overall shape of the service concept is the contemporary leisure experience to permanent
exhibition devoted entirely to chocolate but also to have educational value and be guided by the spirit of the old tours. By means of function, the service
concept operates in a way of servicing social responsibility and the desire to be a good neighbour. By means of purpose, the service concept is

In addition, the self–service display at the shop is compromised with dependability (the pilferage by children directly affect the stock availability) due
to a lack of automated security systems.
Other factors
The location of Cadbury World is far away from town. The coaches often arrive late and miss their agreed times because of the difficulty of estimating
the duration of road journeys. This has compromised with speed and dependability as the delay adds to the queues of visitors at the exhibition entrance
at busy periods
2)
The process flow chart showing how customers are processed through the operation is shown as following:
The process flow chart suggests that the process design of Cadbury World is product–based layout. It is because the equipments are arranged in a
logical sequence and the customers pass from one operation to another in a logical sequence. Hence, the operation is very repeatable and predictable.
3)
The hourly capacities for each operation in 2) above are calculated as following:
The entrance:
15–20 visitors x (60 minutes / 2–1/2 minutes)
= 360–480 visitors per hour
The Marie Cadbury room:
Original design:
(70 visitors x 1/3) x [60 minutes / (5 minutes + 1–2 minutes + 4 minutes)]
= 131–144 visitors per hour
Peak times
70 visitors x [60 minutes / (5 minutes + 1–2 minutes + 4 minutes)]
= 382–420 visitors per hour

The Statement Plan For The Downtown Visitor Attraction Center
"If you build it, they will come:" Downtown visitor attraction center making progress In 2008, the City of Galesburg announced a project they hoped
would bring 100,000 new visitors to Galesburg each year. The visitor attraction area, as they call it, was a downtown expansion project that would
bring a new boutique hotel and restaurant, the national railroad hall of fame, and several new business ventures to a site near the current Galesburg
Children's Discovery Depot. Just last year, the city announced an updated plan for the attraction area. Collectively, this new proposal offered a more
defined plan for the area. Already in place for the visitor attraction area is the Galesburg Children's Discover Depot, the Packing House restaurant,...

Galesburg was initially designated as the site of the national railroad hall of fame in 2006. However, the Engineers of Freedom Center, which is the
educational museum of the hall of fame, is still not built. Over the years, the railroad hall of fame committee has expanded their staff and fundraising
projects in hopes to finally get it built. Phase one of construction will cost about twenty million dollars to complete. Mayor Pritchard estimates that they
are between fifty to seventy–five percent of the way to that number and believes they will begin construction in about two years. "The fundraising
process has been slow. We have gone through economic downturns, we have gone through different things that have delayed it," said Pritchard. The
national railroad hall of fame and visitor attraction area as a whole could make a huge impact on the Galesburg economy. Pritchard says, "The city
alone will get 180,000 dollars a year off the boutique hotel and restaurant project and tax fees. There will also be money going to the school district,
Carl Sandburg College, the county, and so forth. So for us, it is wise to invest to help make it happen." Jessica Linder, the executive director of the
Galesburg Chamber of Commerce, says that all railroad–type attractions are a very large draw for tourists. According to Pritchard, The Engineers of
Freedom Center will draw in an estimated 100,000 new visitors each year for the city. Linder says

A Study On Annan Academy 's Geography Class
Carlisle is the only city in Cumbria, automatically making it the administrative centre of the county. Other than administration, Carlisle has several
other areas in which its activities are focused, such as tourism, shopping, and education. These areas are known as settlement functions. Functions tend
to change and develop as a city grows over the years. Carlisle is a successful city, but whether or not this is due to its changing functions is debatable.
Annan Academy's Geography class went to Carlisle in September 2015 to obtain primary research data of the city's geographical issues.
Method 1
In order to figure out some of the current main functions of Carlisle, the first research method used for this report was two RICEPOTS surveys of
different areas in Carlisle – the CBD (the square near the Tourist Information Centre) and the area from West Tower Street to Corporation Road.
These areas were chosen to display a contrast in the land usage of two areas of Carlisle which are close together. The RICEPOTS surveys were
completed by walking around the areas and annotating a map with the purpose of each building in the area. Once both maps were annotated, the
information was put into a table before being compiled into a comparative bar graph (see: Graph 1).
The results show that West Tower Street to Corporation Road is largely residential, with 35 terraced houses, and that the square near the Tourist
Information Centre is largely commercial with 47 specialist shops

Impact Of The Wh Brand Of The Visitors ' Choice
The influence of the WH brand of the visitors' choice is considered a consequence of the brand awareness, because the customers depict a set of
associations in their mind about the brand affects his judgment or the purchasing decision process (Keller, 1993; Aaker, 1991). Due to that fact,
measuring the accreditation of the WH brand with the visitors' decision is relatively investigating together with the brand awareness (King, 2011;
Phosikham, 2010; Yen and Morison, 2008; Marcotte and Bouredeau, 2006; Hergesell, 2006). To begin with, the adverse result of the potential
influence of the WH brand with the visitors' decision arisen based on very few practical studies. Following that, Marcotte and Bouredeau (2006)
discovered a low level of influence only 30.0 percent of forty semi–structured interviews with visitors resulted in a strong influence on their decision.
Hergesell does not support a positive impact, 90.0 percent of seventy–two visitors did not influence by the WH brand (King, 2011). In the same
domain, Reinius and Fredman (2007) discovered 5 percent of their respondents were only influenced. Moreover, Poria, et al. (2013) admits that the
influence of the WH brand is insignificant on the visitors. On the contrary, very limited insightful studies have assured the effectiveness of the WH
brand with visitors' decision, King (2011) finds that 52.9 percent of 1793 respondents were influenced. Moreover, Phosikham (2010) supports the king's
findings, discovers that

To carry out health and safety procedures in a reception area we need to make sure that no fire exits are blocked and all members of staff need to
know where the fire exits are and know the procedure in case there is a fire. The procedure if the fire alarm goes off is firstly check the panel to see
where the fire is, check the room to confirm, ring 333 to confirm which room the fire is in, evacuate the building and then close the doors. If the fire
is discovered but there is no alarm sounding we should shout, then break the alarm glass, try to put the fire out and then try to contain the fire in the
room by closing the doors. The receptionist's role within these procedures is to calmly evacuate all the patients and report the fire, the patients should
be our first priority. It is also our responsibility to report any hazards such as lights not working, any faulty equipment, and dangerous wires running
across floors or anything at all that someone could trip over to estates.
There can be many types of problems with aggressive visitors. Because of security we have to be careful as to who we are letting on the wards,
therefore we might not allow a certain visitor to have access to the wards which could lead to them becoming abusive towards the receptionist. The
visitors are much more likely to get aggressive if they have relatives who are staying in the hospital, and they could be very emotional about this

Web Analytics, The Measure Of Visitor Behavior On A...
Different people define it differently, few like it simple and straight like – Web analytics is the measure of visitor behavior on a Website. Web Analytics
Association defines it as "Web Analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of Internet data for the purposes of understanding and

However, I like to define it as "The study of visitor, visitors navigation and traffic patterns to estimate the success of a web–site. It focuses on the
indepth comparison of available visitor data, referral data and site navigation patterns. It also tells us the amount of traffic we receive over any specific

peaceful environment, and after several hours, I had my quota of five trout over seven inches, a successful day for any angler. Then, I headed to the

Persuasive School Violence
Imagine this, a parent just sent his/her kid to school. The parent is worried if they will meet someone new in their class. The parent is casually
watching the news and hears that there was a shooting at her child's school. The adult begins to worry and rushes to the school. The parent was notified
that her child was safe and secure; but soon to find out, the child's friend that she had just made, was shot by the gunman. Throughout the years, school
violence has become a controversial topic in the press. Parents do not want to keep worrying when they send his/her child to school. The parent
should be at ease when they send their son or daughter to a safe environment. School violence needs to be stopped in its place as soon as possible!
The first reason school violence should be stopped, is for the school to become a safer environment for the child. Some schools are already giving
background checks to incoming visitors that enter the school building. All schools need to get this program as soon as they can. This program sees if the
visitor is a registered sex offender, a felony, and and major crimes on their record. The visitor would be denied entry and not allowed into the building.
This safety precaution would make the United States schools an extremely better environment for the future students of the upcoming generation.
Another way to make schools safer is to educate everyone. Teachers need to start educating their students about the problem that is going around

Current Working Practices Of Ajs Maps A Company

  • 1. Current Working Practices Of Ajs Maps A Company Firstly, I will be exploring about the current working practices of AJS Maps a company, which provides and creates the maps mainly for the Tourist Industry. E.g., Tourist Information Brochure. However, there are other businesses such as Restaurants who want menus for their customers. There are currently many strengths and weaknesses for the working practices. However, in general there are more weaknesses. There are offices for the staffs to do the projects. This means that the staffs will have plenty of space to do the tasks in a room. As, well, as the colleagues can help one another if they are confused with a particular task they are unaware of. However, the disadvantage is that there are no hardware and software's, which means that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Internet can be explained as a network of computers, designed to receive and send data in the form of e–mails, blogs, webcasts, etc. Even though, AJS are losing customers there are various ways of attracting and appealing the tourist industries and other businesses. They could create an online catalogue, which allows the customers to see the layouts and designs of the products. This allows the customer to be more interactive. My research has shown that 70% companies use this method to appeal to their customers. If these opportunities are available it would fascinate more customers. One of the weaknesses is that the staffs don 't have qualified skills to design the web pages. This means that the staffs are more likely to have fewer skills and are unable to create the web page professionally and would have limited possibilities. Therefore, if the staffs are provided with opportunities to learn – retraining. This would mean that the staffs would be able to manage the page on a regular basis. Instead of recruiting new staffs with higher salary. This would save the company revenue as well as make the website interactive and appeal to the customers. Moreover, to add web traffic they would charge the tourist industry for sharing the link and other businesses. This is another way of making profit. For example, for the tourist industries it will be an advantage, but to AJS Maps they will receive more customers for providing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Current Issues Of Museums And Galleries Journal "Current Issues in Museums and Galleries Journal" The purpose of this journal is to document my journey through the module. I intend as well to show how the texts have influenced my viewpoints, and contributed to my understanding of museums and visitors attitudes – mainly relating to the locations of our visits. Furthermore, I wanted to capture my musings and key passages from some of the books on the reading list, and alternate writings I discovered along the way. A lot of the issues raised in these texts have affected my way of thinking; not only for this module, but also for day–to–day attitudes. The narrative below comes around between 1,000 and 3,000 word limit. Week 1– 29 September Eugene Dillenburg defines the exhibit as a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I believe that older people have the right to promote their social, cultural and emotional capacities. So, this week I discovered a very interesting article about museum lifelong learning of the aging people. According Hui–Jong Hsieh, the expanding number of elderly population has the outcome of confronting not only the reshape of social structure, the redistribution of recourses, but also the complex relationships of multi generations with assorted mindsets, behavior and values. However, the attraction of elderly audiences requires certain changes from the part of exhibitions halls. Museums should offer discount or free entrance for over 65s and provide facilities such as wheelchair ramp, elevators, wheelchair for the disabled, enlarged front brochures and large print information for individuals and visual impairments, the medical kit, study stool or reading glasses for any visitor who need them. It is really a big subject and many questions come to my mind. How can museums afford so huge expenses? Does it open ways to politics to involve in museums policies? How dangerous is it about the future of museums? Week 2– 13 October Why people visit museums? According Falk race/ ethnicity, age, education, occupation and curiosity are some indications of who visit museums. However, the main characteristic is "identity" which is the internal and external social forces. Each of us can hold

The opening ceremony held at the stage. Also, live music and performance at the stage will indulge the crowd from day till night. When finished the performance on the stage, the participants could evacuate quickly because the exit is very close with the stage. The location of stage is beneficial for the crowd control. Well Stage Design Besides, the venue has done very well in stage design. LED backdrops and eye attracting decoration were on the stage it seems that the stage has been delicately designed. Participants could see the stage clearly as a big screen is setting at the central of the stage. The stage color is aligning with the event theme color which is purple. • 5. Big Data And Its Effect On Our Lives It is that time of year again, to sit back, and reflect on everything that has happened in the past year and to make predictions of what will happen in the years to come. The new job that is starting to move out of the woodworks is 'Big Data.' These large volumes of data are being used in ways no one could have imagined years ago. Data analysts are using this newly found information to improve the world around us, from helping companies make a more efficient profit, research the climate changes, or improve how people live their daily lives. According to Investopedia, Big Data is, "The growth in volume of structured and unstructured data, the speed at which it is created and collected, and the scope of how many points are covered. This is due to the fact that the information they are uncovering is crucial to their business; therefore it has to be dealt with in a timely fashion. The last V is variety. The data that is collected comes in an assortment of formats: structured, numerical data, email, video, audio, and financial transactions (What is Big Data?). SAS Institution considers two more features to properly define big data to it's fullest: variability and complexity. Big data has variability due to the fact data flows are highly inconsistent. They are inconsistent because of trends, seasonal, and event–triggered peaks making data always coming in, in different quantities. Collecting the data is complex and tricky because it comes from a variety of sources, in many different formats, making it difficult to link, match, cleanse, and transform data to make connections and correlations (What is Big Data?). The amount of data, and how complex it is, is not what is important. It is what businesses do with the data matters. When analysts look at the data they take into consideration for key concepts: cost reductions, time reductions, new product development and optimized offerings, and smart decisions making. By looking closely at these four key points, businesses can accomplish: determining root causes of failures, generating coupons at the point of a sale where they can ... With a total $31,018 pledged, 340 backers helped forty–two international and intergenerational artists create 400,000+ artworks to be given away during this unconventional exhibition, visitors are encouraged to participate, touch, and even take the artworks on view home with them. • 7. The Effects Of Stress On Captive Zoo Animals Introduction. The effects of stress on captive zoo animals has been a major concern among zoologists as well as zookeepers in recent years (Fernandez et al.2009). In previous studies, one of the major factors inducing stress in captive animals that appears to have been overlooked, are the noise levels created by the presence of zoo visitors and the effectiveness of the design of indoor zoo exhibits in reducing the noise levels in particular. While research exists showing that the presence of zoo visitors can be a source of enrichment for captive animals, particularly those who are social by nature, further investigations have indicated that visitor presence can in fact be a source of stress in non–social species including felids (Hosey 2000). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This study will look at the effectiveness of the exhibit design in preventing noise pollution caused by the increased number of visitors to the Milwaukee County Zoo jaguar exhibit. The exhibit which contains both an indoor portion which is designed to resemble the jaguar's native jungle habitat as well as an outdoor portion, currently houses three adult jaguars, Pat, Stella, and Francisco. Both Pat, who is 16 years old and formally a "Problem jaguar" from Belize, and Stella who came to the Milwaukee County Zoo in 2005, live together as a breeding pair (K. Kuhn in conversation). Francisco is the 2–year–old son of Pat and Stella and lives alone (K. Kuhn in conversation). Over the course of six weeks, I will be collecting data using Wensen WS1361C decibel meters which are equipped with data loggers. The decibel meters will be used both inside and outside the jaguar exhibit to determine the effectiveness of the exhibit design. To analyze the zoo visitor effect, as well as the frequency of stress–related behavioral responses observed, data will be collected during on three different days of the week both through observation of the jaguars as well as later analysis of the data recorded by the decibel meters. Data will be collected both on days where zoo visitation is predicted to increase, which are designated as "Family Free Days," where visitors receive free admission as well as "Non–Family Free days" and Thursday afternoons where a decrease in zoo visitation is predicted for observation time totaling a minimum of 15 hours. The recorded data will then be analyzed to determine if the increased noise pollution created by an increase in zoo visitors will correlate with an increase in stress–related behavioral responses by the jaguars. ... • 9. Cultural Relevance, Understanding And Education Cultural relevance, understanding and education are the key areas that modern museums seem to be addressing seriously. As a public institution a museum must consider its role in society, the way culture is represented and displayed and most of all, how interpretation affects those not of museum training backgrounds, for example a visitor or patron. Some would argue that art, is an expression of a culture and its political and economic values (Hein 2006), while others would suggest that is the artifacts of long lost peoples and cultures that have the most worth to the public (Sabeti 2015). The mixture of these two mediums seems like an obvious step in achieving reinterpretation, presenting political messages, and displaying the importance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Stam 1993). One way this may be interpreted is that a shift towards a more open, interactive style of museum exhibition should be the starting point of exhibition planning and execution. The discussions and in some cases successful installations of eco museums for example, represent the ever shifting and changing people and cultures, instead of the static and non–changed ancient cultural heritage of forgotten civilizations and their material culture. The eco museum provides no exclusion of peoples or histories. With some limited success in exposing the cultures of ever changing people and customs to a larger audience in eco–museums, other historical institutions have frankly missed the mark. "The 'new museology' started with the intention of introducing a new philosophy around how museums function and a changed relationships between museums and their societies and communities" (McCall and Gray 2014). The framework suggested in the museology based on how a new function of museums can be achieved, really leaves one to ponder just how effective the application of literature surrounding these ideas can actually be when put into practice. There is no clear checklist of steps to achieve such a change in the framework and context of a museum as an educational institution, as a cultural reference or as an open public forum, so the missing re–interpretation can sometimes be taken on by an ... Explain service blue printing and how it helps in service design. Service Blueprinting is a method within the Service Engineering process that enables the user to have a framework for viewing service improvement. It is a visual tool that helps one see the experience a customer has with the service from a holistic viewpoint. It gives not just the end–to–end view of the experience, but also exposes the "behind–the–scenes" work that shows how the experience is designed and more importantly how it was delivered. The process of building a service blue print involves the below steps: 1. The identification of the service process, that is supposed to be blueprinted 2. The identification of the customer segment / customers who are supposed to experience the service 3. Picturing the service from the customer's perspective 4. Picturing the actions of the contact employee (onstage and backstage), and/or technology actions 5. Linking the contact activities to the needed support functions 6. Adding the evidence of service for every customer action step Blueprinting a service helps to display the real moments of the service provision and provides a better understanding of the process and service success factors. Compiled in 1854 by Louis Haghe, Joseph Nash and David Roberts, Dickinson 's Comprehensive Pictures of the Great Exhibition of 1851 reveals large amounts of information regarding exhibitionary cultures in the nineteenth century. The catalogue was produced for Prince Albert, who was the patron of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. This source suggests the Great Exhibition followed a similar trend how museums mainly operated in the nineteenth century. Most images in the catalogue represent the Victorian notion of progress, making visitors react a certain way to exhibits and also influencing behaviour generally throughout the museum to the same way that Foucault shows with the concept of the Panopticon. Using the images of Moving Machinery, General View of the Exterior of the Building and The Transept in the Comprehensive Pictures catalogue, this essay will analyse each of these images to show their revelation of exhibitionary cultures, which means to critically understand attitudes to the way which museums operate exhibitions. It will also examine how historians responded to the historiographical debate surrounding the Great Exhibition, and argues that the Great Exhibition was generally successful and that it had a mainstream exhibitionary culture compared with other museums in the nineteenth century. • 18. Literary Analysis : A Very Old Man With Enormous Wings A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings Analysis The story, "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings", has a lot of deeper meanings and irony embedded in the plot. However, one idea hung in my mind throughout the whole story. The cold nature of humans and how they treat other people without knowing a single thing about them. Also the selfish things they will do to benefit from a situation. Most people will make sure they're doing well before they check on someone in need. They are so focused on themselves that they forget that there are other people who would greatly appreciate and absolutely need help but are overlooked by selfish, self centered individuals. The cold nature of humans was a deep meaning I got from the story. People are so quick to judge by a first impression or by physical quality that they don't even realize it's wrong. In the story, when the old man was found by Pelayo, they didn't know what to do with him so they sought help from the "wise neighbor woman". She suggested that he should be beaten to death with a club. This is an example of a cold, selfish person because she saw that it was a weak old man that probably didn't have much to offer and decided it was best to just kill him without knowing a thing about the man for certain. Another instance where you could clearly see the vile ways of humans is when Pelayo locks the old man in the chicken coop. It is very inhumane especially because they initially thought he was a fallen angel. Instead of inviting him into the house for a warm and safer environment, they leave him outside like an animal. People will only keep something if they are benefitting from it themselves. It's the "What's in it for me" type of mindset. The selfish mindset that most people possess and is seen so widespread throughout business and everyday life. An example would be when Elisenda noticed how much attention the old man was getting so she started charging an entry fee for visitors to see him. It was a great way to profit from the visitors. However, the selfish part about it is that the old man was not compensated in any way for the things he was being put through. The visitors would throw stones and pluck feathers off the old man's wings to see if they could get any ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Another way that one can cultivate a love of learning in the museum is through engaging exhibitions. The methodical approach that the Monterey Bay Aquarium takes in designing its exhibitions exemplifies how to create engaging programming. The aquarium focuses on its mission, the message of the exhibit, and the type of visitor they want to attract before they begin to plan the exhibit itself. By using this method, the exhibition is guided by its message rather than by design. • 29. City Of Fountains : Creativity And Inspiration City of Fountains Creativity and Inspiration Many people living in Kansas City do not appreciate one of the things their home is known for, fountains. A member of our group originally thought of the nickname "City of Fountains", so we took that idea and expanded it. Our exhibit would not only educate our community about a subject they never would have thought of, but would implement a curiosity about the history of this city for young minds to learn as well. We also thought that the exhibit should look aesthetically pleasing due to the fact that it would be outside and seen by hundreds of people each day. Therefore, fountains would be a perfect fit since they are already used for decoration. Visitors would be able to interact and create fountains of their own design, maybe even inspiring future engineers in the field. In the end, we concluded this would be the most educational and exciting exhibit. One of our many goals we hope to achieve with this presentation is to show the STEM ideas. These are science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Science: Visitors will explore the science behind fountains, including descriptions of water pressure and how things of the liking work. Visitors will also be able to control and experiment with water pressure. Technology: There will be an attraction placed in the center where visitors will be welcome to use the tablets provided to use an app made specifically for the exhibit to design fountains, learn facts, and take quizzes ... In addition, the self–service display at the shop is compromised with dependability (the pilferage by children directly affect the stock availability) due to a lack of automated security systems. Other factors The location of Cadbury World is far away from town. The coaches often arrive late and miss their agreed times because of the difficulty of estimating the duration of road journeys. This has compromised with speed and dependability as the delay adds to the queues of visitors at the exhibition entrance at busy periods 2) The process flow chart showing how customers are processed through the operation is shown as following: The process flow chart suggests that the process design of Cadbury World is product–based layout. The Statement Plan For The Downtown Visitor Attraction Center "If you build it, they will come:" Downtown visitor attraction center making progress In 2008, the City of Galesburg announced a project they hoped would bring 100,000 new visitors to Galesburg each year. The visitor attraction area, as they call it, was a downtown expansion project that would bring a new boutique hotel and restaurant, the national railroad hall of fame, and several new business ventures to a site near the current Galesburg Children's Discovery Depot. Just last year, the city announced an updated plan for the attraction area. Collectively, this new proposal offered a more defined plan for the area. Galesburg was initially designated as the site of the national railroad hall of fame in 2006. However, the Engineers of Freedom Center, which is the educational museum of the hall of fame, is still not built. Over the years, the railroad hall of fame committee has expanded their staff and fundraising projects in hopes to finally get it built. Phase one of construction will cost about twenty million dollars to complete. Mayor Pritchard estimates that they are between fifty to seventy–five percent of the way to that number and believes they will begin construction in about two years. "The fundraising process has been slow. We have gone through economic downturns, we have gone through different things that have delayed it," said Pritchard. The national railroad hall of fame and visitor attraction area as a whole could make a huge impact on the Galesburg economy. Pritchard says, "The city alone will get 180,000 dollars a year off the boutique hotel and restaurant project and tax fees. There will also be money going to the school district, Carl Sandburg College, the county, and so forth. So for us, it is wise to invest to help make it happen." Jessica Linder, the executive director of the Galesburg Chamber of Commerce, says that all railroad–type attractions are a very large draw for tourists. According to Pritchard, The Engineers of Freedom Center will draw in an estimated 100,000 new visitors each year for the city. Linder says ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. A Study On Annan Academy 's Geography Class Carlisle is the only city in Cumbria, automatically making it the administrative centre of the county. Other than administration, Carlisle has several other areas in which its activities are focused, such as tourism, shopping, and education. These areas are known as settlement functions. Functions tend to change and develop as a city grows over the years. Carlisle is a successful city, but whether or not this is due to its changing functions is debatable. Annan Academy's Geography class went to Carlisle in September 2015 to obtain primary research data of the city's geographical issues. Method 1 In order to figure out some of the current main functions of Carlisle, the first research method used for this report was two RICEPOTS surveys of different areas in Carlisle – the CBD (the square near the Tourist Information Centre) and the area from West Tower Street to Corporation Road. These areas were chosen to display a contrast in the land usage of two areas of Carlisle which are close together. The RICEPOTS surveys were completed by walking around the areas and annotating a map with the purpose of each building in the area. Once both maps were annotated, the information was put into a table before being compiled into a comparative bar graph (see: Graph 1). The results show that West Tower Street to Corporation Road is largely residential, with 35 terraced houses, and that the square near the Tourist Information Centre is largely commercial with 47 specialist shops ... • 34. Impact Of The Wh Brand Of The Visitors ' Choice The influence of the WH brand of the visitors' choice is considered a consequence of the brand awareness, because the customers depict a set of associations in their mind about the brand affects his judgment or the purchasing decision process (Keller, 1993; Aaker, 1991). Due to that fact, measuring the accreditation of the WH brand with the visitors' decision is relatively investigating together with the brand awareness (King, 2011; Phosikham, 2010; Yen and Morison, 2008; Marcotte and Bouredeau, 2006; Hergesell, 2006). To begin with, the adverse result of the potential influence of the WH brand with the visitors' decision arisen based on very few practical studies. Following that, Marcotte and Bouredeau (2006) discovered a low level of influence only 30.0 percent of forty semi–structured interviews with visitors resulted in a strong influence on their decision. Hergesell does not support a positive impact, 90.0 percent of seventy–two visitors did not influence by the WH brand (King, 2011). In the same domain, Reinius and Fredman (2007) discovered 5 percent of their respondents were only influenced. Moreover, Poria, et al. (2013) admits that the influence of the WH brand is insignificant on the visitors. On the contrary, very limited insightful studies have assured the effectiveness of the WH brand with visitors' decision, King (2011) finds that 52.9 percent of 1793 respondents were influenced. Moreover, Phosikham (2010) supports the king's findings, discovers that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
