In Amy Bloom's short story, "Silver Water", the main character Rose takes her own life as a result to
living with mental illness. Throughout the story the narrator, Rose's sister, shows the difficulties of
living with mental illness not only for Rose's family, but also for Rose. A common obstacle for the
family is getting Rose proper care; this is difficult because the family could not find long term
insurance or doctor. In " Silver Water", Amy Bloom makes a point about how mental illness is
treated; the specific point she makes is that mental illness is not taken as seriously as it should be.
This is shown through how difficult it is for Rose to receive proper treatment. One of the first
examples of mistreatment is that in "Silver Water" Rose is pulled from her halfway home and is
taken off of her medicine so that her family could switch to an insurance that can better support the
long term treatment she needs. This leaves her parents struggling to take care of her at home while
she is nowhere close to stable. "This is going to be difficult– not all bad, but difficult– for the whole

Therefore there is a huge need for active and pre–crash safety enhancement systems. Most of the
accidents, in Fact occur due to human errors because many operators ignore the machinery safety
limits of the system.
During the past years there were a lot of safety systems have been proposed for commercial and
industrial vehicles for collecting information from the vehicle to model the system dynamic
response and prevent the occurring of dangerous working conditions. The secondary device
connected to the main device will be monitored continuously using MEMS sensor to identify the
dangerous working condition of the system, which can occur when the pitch angle becomes very
large that causes jackknifing, which drives the machinery close to its brake/acceleration limit. When
roll angle becomes very large, the system may get side slip. When the pitch angle gets large the
system may get roll up. To detect these occurrence of situations, the detection system has to measure
and track the roll, φT, pitch, θT, and yaw, ψT, angles of the main system with the roll, φB, pitch, θB,
and yaw, ψB, angles of the secondary system to stabilize the load depending on the x–axis values in

Analysis Of Ariane 5 Launch, The Software Failure
During Ariane 5 launch, the software failure occurred when an attempt to convert a 64–bit floating
point number to convert a 64–bit floating point number representing the horizontal velocity to a
signed/fixed 16–bit integer caused the number to overflow (become too big). The floating point
number was too large to be represented in 16–bit (i.e. Ariane 4 software) and this hence caused a
numeric overflow. The maximum value that can be represented in 16–bit is 32768. And the
horizontal velocity which was being measured by sensors was greater than this, and hence the
number overflowed. Moreover, Ariane 5 software did not have an exception handler for numeric
overflow and as a consequence it defaulted overall runtime exception handling for the programming
language used (i.e. 'Ada') and this default behavior in the event of NULL exception handler was to
shut the system down. Since the backup system was running the same software code, exactly the
same thing happened.

the experience and believe it.

I was able to go through this journey and I finally found the inner kid in me, I reconnected with his
playfulness, joy, innocence and fearlessness. I needed to create him as an anchor in my life, and for
this to happen I needed to personify him in my present self. So I kept going back numerous times to
those memories, making it as vivid as it could possibly get. I have this kid today in the back of my

is a story about a woman who thinks she can just float away from her realistic problems. The whole
story is told through the perspective of a troubled woman and the author did this to show that if guilt
and pain eat at a person this is what can happen and in this case it is a miscarriage of a child
belonging to the "woman". The author uses symbolism to emphasize her claims on guilt. The whole
story is portrayed in first person with no names mentioned in the story because it makes it more
relatable to general and heartbroken people in society. The author displays a woman who had a
miscarriage and is torn deeply about her own loss and became completely depressed; she is also
becomes delusional and believes her baby is still alive and is her little secret, and lastly on some
deep inner level she knows that her baby is dead and feels a tremendous amount of guilt for losing
her own child. The author shows that the miscarriage can be a metaphor for any situation in life: if
something is lost, one cannot just give up, and become completely obsessed over memories of the
past, memories were made to shape who one is not dictate the present actions.

We will always need to protect our boarders of this country from attack whether big or small. The
point in the interview was about how do you shore up the boarders without closing them. It was
brought up about the limited resources and using more of a collaborated response with government
resources already working the areas. This would include the US Customs and Border Protection,
Coast Guard that can be operated under the US Navy during war times and Homeland security
during piece times, and the Navy.
These resources are to be allocated by the risk perceived in certain areas that could change based on

VLSI Testing simulations are classified mainly into Exhaustive Simulation and Non Exhaustive

Exhaustive Simulation: This process that involves applying all possible inputs to the circuit under
test (CUT) by simulating them and checking to see if the output responses are identical for every
input. The major drawback with this process is the number of test patterns. [2]
Non–Exhaustive Simulation: This process involves deterministic compact and pseudo random test
sets. This will test the circuit within acceptable time and cost. This reduced test set may be based
upon fault models, particularly the stuck–at model. However, it is often required to estimate how
effective is this non exhaustive test set is in detecting possible faults in the circuit under test (CUT).

Salomon claimed that the amount from the assets sold and bank balance was his, as he also owned
debentures in the company worth 9,000, which made the company liable to pay him back the

would not pay them back. The creditors resisted Salomon's action to claim the rest of the money by
filling a lawsuit against him that the balance of money available is owed to them rather than him as
he is considered the owner of the company and should be accounted for the liquidation and pay
them back from his own money if the balance from the company was not enough.

Right now I am hundreds of feet over the ocean while holding one hundred balloons, but first let me
tell you how I got here. It all started like this; I was going to the balloon store. It was my cousins 16
birthday and there was going to be a big party. I was assigned to get the balloons. So, I did. I walked
into the store, to be greeted by an old man. The man wore old fashion clothes and had hair as white
as paper. I told the man I need some balloons, and he asked, "How many would you like?" "100
should be fine" I replied. "That's a lot of balloons sir, you don't want to float away" The old man
said. In my mind I laughed. He started to fill up the balloons and it was at that moment that I started
to worry. Was it possible to float away I said to myself, no stop that's impossible I convinced myself.
The balloons were done and I payed and managed to get them out the door. Then somehow, I started
to float, higher and higher. And I quickly rose to an alarming height, too high to jump. People got
out of their cars pointing, screaming and murmuring among themselves "that man's floating" How
