Candy Bar Scene Essay
Write what you love
You have probably noticed that you don't tend to let yourself be distracted from things that you
enjoy and are really excited about.
When writer Rachel Aaron was experimenting to find out what conditions made her most
productive, she realized that she wrote most on the days on which she worked on the scenes she'd
been dying to write. Fantasy and science fiction writer Holly Lisle calls them "candy–bar scenes."
CREATE CANDY–BAR SCENES
Candy–bar scenes have nothing to do with eating a Snickers or a Hershey's Bar. These are your
favorite scenes that you're just itching to write since you first had the idea for the book. For a
romance writer, it might be the first kiss scene; for a mystery writer, it might be a surprising plot
twist; for a sci–fi writer it might be a scene with a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Remember: if you are bored with a scene or section of your book, your readers will be too. Find
something exciting in every scene you're about to write. If you're not excited about an upcoming
scene, ask yourself why. Is it merely a filler scene that needs to be cut? Do you need to rework the
scene to make it more interesting?
DON'T WRITE FOR THE MARKET
There are trends in publishing just as there are in fashion. For example, after the success of The
Hunger Games, dystopian fiction became a trend; Twilight made paranormal romances with
vampires popular, and after Fifty Shades of Grey topped the bestseller charts, sales of erotic
romances skyrocketed.
It might be tempting to some writers to chase these trends and write a book in a genre or about a
topic that is "hot" right now. There are several problems with that:
First, the market changes constantly. It's hard to predict what genre will become the next publishing
trend and how long that trend is going to last. By the time you have written your book, the market
might be saturated and agents and readers are tired of

The Supermarket : Prime Real Estate
We have all been to a supermarket or store at some point in our lives. Have we found ourselves
placing items in the cart that we did not come to buy, and why is that? Is there a reason the products
we need are located in the back of the store? Marion Nestle wrote an article entitled, "The
Supermarket: Prime Real Estate." She teaches in the department of nutrition and food studies at
New York University. Nestle writes a column regarding food for the San Francisco Chronicle.
Shortly after reading the title, one can determine Nestle opposes supermarkets. "Prime Real Estate,"
indicates that large supermarkets are feeding grounds for them against unsuspecting customers.
Supermarkets can determine what somebody will buy, based on where the store places certain
products. The general argument made by Nestle in her work, "The Supermarket: Prime Real Estate,
is that supermarkets are taking advantage of our unconscious mind and we are purchasing products
on impulse.
Extensive research concludes that the average customer will stray away from their shopping list and
will purchase something on impulse. 70% of buyers bring lists into the store, roughly 10% of
shoppers stick to their list. Managers have succeeded when a shopper buys what is on the end shelf
or on sale. It is by design that milk, meats, and bread is located towards the back of the store.
Managers and owners cause customers to walk past as many products as possible before they pick
up the products they went in

The Candy Chest, The reason for this name because it represents this store showing that we are just
a simple but unique candy store. The hours for our store would be Monday – Thursday 11am – 8pm,
Friday – Saturday 10am – 9pm. The reasons that we have chosen these times is that we need to stay

during the day because there are many things that happen after dinner time in downtown Salisbury
such as, Gallery Gallop, Music at the Mural, Buskers Bash, Holiday Night Out. This shop will make

Just A Dream Narrative
Prologue: Just a Dream
The cool crisp air, the leaves changing different colors, the moist wet grounds of the mud and the
dry crunchy leaves, the warm sunlight through the tall trees of the forest, being outdoors for hours
and running for a long time without getting tired. That is a few of my favorite things about being a
wolf and also is my favorite season because Halloween, pumpkin spice or minty drinks with treats
also get to be myself for a while. I always have this dream where I just run and run, just to get out of
the house to get some air to clear my mind from lots of things that is running through my mind. The
cool crisp air makes me breath heavy though my nose and muzzle, its kind the of the cold that is like
a frozen ice cube in the freezer. The moon shines down through the tall trees of the forest that makes
my fur glow silver color like a glow in the dark shiny sticker. The light breeze tickles and blows
though my white fur that makes me shiver in delight. The warm like sticky mud and grass squashes
underneath my paws while running though my favorite part of the woods that is on my daily running
patrol route. I couldn't sleep, so I was dying to go for a run also to clear my mind from a lot of
things that isn't normal for a teenager girl like myself, which shouldn't be stuck into two different
world and have to pretend to be two different people at once. For me it's easy to sneak out of the

Another idea of a product I have chosen to develop my product as opposed to other products
because other markets are not as big as the chocolate industry for example chewing gum and
doughnuts have smaller industries with fewer competitors and therefore they will have fewer
potential customers compared to customers of chocolate products.
For my product I have decided to consult and work within Cadburys. Cadburys is a worldwide
famous chocolate brand which is a factory based in Birmingham. This business is well established
and therefore would be a good business to launch my product within as my business will already
have potential and existing customers of Cadburys, this will help to expand and grow the business
which will lead to an increased amount of profits earnt from my product. Also by choosing to work
along with Cadburys, I believe this suits my product because they are on the same market as my
new product, this also means we will have the same target market and will be a good company to
work with. By working for Cadburys this will also be a benefit for them because It will give them
diversification and reach out to new potential customers. I have decided to work with Cadburys
because they are a large business who have been around for many years. Cadburys are a large

M & M: The Chocolate Layer Of Cream
The most iconic candy bar today is the Snickers bar, after recently having passed M&M. Introduced
in 1930 by Mars, it quickly became one of the most popular candies on the market. The layer of
creamy nougat, the layer of peanuts embedded in caramel, and the smooth milk chocolate coating
harmonize to create a mouthwatering dessert. Each part of this chocolate bar is essential to the
flavor and overall experience of the dessert. The first thing that a consumer sees when choosing a
candy bar is the wrapper. The typeface of the letters that make up the word "SNICKERS" is large,
bold, all capitalized, and fills up almost the entire front of the wrapper. The background of the
wrapper is brown, foreshadowing the silky chocolate that the customer will see upon unwrapping
the chocolate bar. If this font were not as powerful, smaller, or lowercase the wrapper would not
stand out from the rest of the chocolate bars. The red, white, and blue color of the word
"SNICKERS" on the front of the wrapper also reminds a customer of their country, as the bar was
first manufactured in the USA and UK, instilling a sense of pride when they ... Show more content

The four main parts of the bar are the chocolate coating, the nougat, the peanuts, and the caramel.
Let us first focus on the chocolate coating portion of the candy bar, for it is the first ingredient that a
person experiences. The chocolate used in the standard Snickers bar is a sweet milk chocolate. If a
dark chocolate or white chocolate were used, it would be too bitter or too sweet, taking away from
the overall experience. The bitterness of the dark chocolate would clash with the other ingredients,
while white chocolate would overpower the entire bar. The amount go chocolate used is perfect;
using too much chocolate would overwhelm the bar, making it too sweet, and too little would cause
the caramel and nougat inside to attack the mouth of the consumer too

The Fat Girl Analysis
In every culture, there are certain societal standards that people are expected to live up to. Some
have find it easy to accept and fit in, while other struggle to find themselves within society's ideals.
Society places a great emphasis on the way women should look to be considered beautiful and many
women fail to live up to those standards. In the short story "The Fat Girl" by Andre Dubus, the
reader sees how the main character Louise, a fat girl, struggles to fit in with pressure society places
on her that to be considered beautiful, one must be thin. Louise, for the majority of her life,
outwardly appears as if she's trying to conform to society's standards of dieting and trying to be thin,
but when completely alone, she hides her guilty pleasure of binge eating candy bars. The pressure is
placed upon her from her childhood and follows her throughout her life, until her marriage falls
apart after she gains weight. Andre Dubus shows us, through the events that occur in Louise's life,
that only after accepting ourselves they way we are, despite societal pressures of conforming to a
certain standard, can we begin the road to becoming happy. She wants to be accepted for who she is,
not for what she looks like. It isn't until her marriage dissolves that she acknowledges that she needs
to accept herself and be comfortable in her own skin before she can become happy. From a young
age, Louise is made aware of the pressure society places on women to be thin. When she is nine
years old, her mother starts pointing out how Louise needs to start watching what she's eating, and
places her on a diet. Her mother tells her, "In five years you'll be in high school and if you're fat the
boys won't like you; they won't ask you out" (Dubus 125). Her mother tells her that if by the time
she enters high school she isn't thin, she won't have any chance of being in a relationship or being
looked at as beautiful. Louise, and many other girls who are in a similar situation, are trained at a
young age to believe that beauty is equated with being thin. This makes Louise start out life thinking
that she'll never be good enough; she'll never be accepted by others until she becomes the ideal
skinny girl. As a nine year old, she

Great Candies Research Paper
Breathtaking Experience: Qualities of Great Candies
The average american consumes about twenty–two pounds of candy each year. That is a lot of
candy. For people to consume so much, there really must be something special in them. The unique
quality of every candy is what makes the candy delicious. Similar qualities can be found in all great
candies. First, candies with nuts make them seem a whole lot more desirable. Crunch has a brilliant
nutty and crunchy taste. The nuts add some flavor to the boring chocolate taste. The nuts also
provide the actual "crunch." Another candy with nuts is Snickers. Snickers have peanuts to make its
chocolate bar more flavourful. It becomes a great combination with the added caramel. Lastly,
Payday covers its whole surface with nuts. It is most likely the nuttiest treat out there. Payday mixes
its nuts and caramel in every bite you take. Nuts provide candy with a more stunning taste. ... Show

Skittles are known for their colorful bite size treats. The assorted colors make the candy more
exciting to look at and eat. The colors hint on what flavor you are about to consume. M&Ms are
another treat that have color. Most chocolates are the same boring brown, but M&Ms are a rare
chocolate candy that has color. They allow the consumer to experience chocolate in a rainbow
delight. Although the colors do not indicate a special flavor, they do create a more enjoyable
experience. Finally, Sour Patch Kids. These are a unique sour and sweet treat with assorted colors.
They also provide different flavors associated with different colors. Thanks to the assorted colors,
Sour Patch Kids can also be a fun color learning tool for small kids. The quality of having color

The Story Of Halloween : Personal Narrative : My Story
Have you ever thought that your Halloween could turn into such a disaster that you would never
want to eat a piece of candy again? Well, it definitely can, so think about my story when the months
pass and it becomes October again. Please, read on and enjoy... RING!!! RING!!! I was ecstatic
about my friend trick or treating with me for the first time. I wobbled down the stairs; then stumbled
to the door and ran out at full speed. But it turned out to be the pizza guy, so I trudged back inside.
"Mom," I called, "The pizza's here!" "Coming!" my mom yelled back, "Just one second, ok?" "Yeah,
sure!" I shouted back. Because I knew she wouldn't come down in time, I took the pizza from the
man, I handed him the twenty dollars that I had socked away in my pocket for no reason."Thanks
for the pizza!" I stated to the guy, "Have a wonderful Halloween night!" "Thanks," he called back,
"You, too." As he drove off, I saw another car drive up. My friend Emily was here. She called out
from the car, "Hey, Katherine." "Hi, Emily, come on in." She came out of her (huge) car with a bag
(probably makeup supplies) and her phone. We started to put on the makeup. We put some white
eyeshadow all over our faces to make us look pale. Then, we added black eyeshadow all around our
eyes, around our noses and on the contours of our faces. After that came the best part: the giant
wound in the middle of our neck. We layered latex and tissue on our skin and waited until

Incentive Plans
Organizations provide incentive plans to employees as motivation to reach the objectives and goals
of the company. Incentives are given to personnel to encourage them to do his or her best. Incentive
plans in any business might include bonuses or raises, stock option plans, or other forms of
incentives. This is in exchange for the employees who work harder, better, or faster in accordance
with the organizations goals and objectives (Businesstown.com, 2001). The majority of incentives
are performance–based policies in which workers receive additional cash or benefits centered on a
worker's performance.
Raises and Bonuses

The CSR would receive a candy bar of his or her choice or PTO for taking the most calls in a day.
Each day the total calls are reported and the CSR with the most receives the incentive. Some CSR's
will have competitions with each other. This is a way the employees motivate themselves. When all
goals are met the team or teams receive a lunch party in which the company provides the funds for
the event; this is a paid event for all employees. Some employees make his or her team goals a
priority because the team goal incentive is always higher than individual goals.
Conclusion
Incentive plans are beneficial to an organization because it provides high productive results through
teamwork; teamwork is an effective tool in an organization. For that reason, it is important to build
an effective team and motivate them. The supervisor has the responsibility to motivate the
employees; however, when incentives are given it will motivate the employee to do his or her best
and in return the company will gain the maximum productivity of the employees
(Businesstown.com, 2001). In the department I work for monetary incentives motivate the
employees but nonmonetary incentives as simple as a candy bar or PTO work too.

Halloween Informative Speech
Gather the crosses and grab the salt!ㅡHalloween is approaching! It is almost that time of year again
where it is socially acceptable to wear a hotdog costume in various public settings. As a matter of
fact, as of last year, "Halloween retail spending is projected to be $8.4 billion [in America]"
("Halloween Spending Statistics, Facts and Trends"). One could purchase an insane amount of
hotdog costumes with such money. As exemplified, we often use Halloween as a humorous outlet
for our weird tendencies; it is also a time of year to act dark and spooky, which is also enticing. I
believe Halloween is the best holiday because people dress in creative costumes, receive a variety of
treats, but, amidst all this hoopla, fail to recognize the diverse origins of the holiday.
Now, what is Halloween most popular for? The wacky costumes of course! You can dress up as
virtually anything. This is one of the few holidays where people are given room to become
inventive. You could acquire a costume so exact, you look exactly like Queen Elizabeth herself. Or
one could simply put on a tee shirt, talk in a robotic voice, and claim they are themselves robotic
clone. The amount of effort someone put into a costume does not take away from how clever it is
and that is amazing, too. It is not only amusing to wear the costumes, but it is fun to see what people
come up with for themselves every year.
Once you and your friends have your costumes on, you are ready to knock on strangers doors and
basically demand candy or other sorts from them. It is that uncomplicated. Each house is a mystery
as to which treats they will give to you. Some may give you Dum–Dums, others hand out full–size
candy bars, and very few bake Halloween–themed pastries. Sure, you have to walk around town,
from door to door, saying the same thing, and your feet may begin to hurt. However, I, as a
dedicated individual, will not allow my feet's agenda to interrupt me from gathering as many treats
on this one evening. Yes, my feet may be blistered from walking around in my medieval clogs, but
at least I can ice them while enjoying the twenty–three Twix bars I gained on my outing.
While people are celebrating this holiday, many are unaware that they are participating in

Mirror Reflection
Who is the boy I see in the mirror? He is over–weighted, unsuccessful, paranoid, and insecure. It
was a grotesque reflection of myself and a visualization of a loser. So I was frequently scared to
confront my true–self in the mirror and ignored my fundamental problem. When I devoured three
plates of lasagna and every sip of the cream soup that would add another pound of fat and flesh to
my stomach, "you should control your eating habits," "stopped" were two of the many concerned
advice that I commonly heard in a daily basis. But all of them did not understand what I was going
through. People always said that the scoops of ice cream and a stack of waffles were the problem for
me, but it was more than what meets the eye for my situation.
The stacking piles of homework and the mean test scores that always ignored the effort I put in gave
me so much frustration and stress. To overcome all this, I always found myself reflected in the
mirror holding a melting chocolate bar in my one hand and my pencil on the other, sitting next to a
pile of snacks. However, as the weight gauge points to a new higher number everyday, I got more
stress from the humiliating number and the thoughts of others judging my appearance that led me to
opening another candy bar. It was a vicious cycle.
"I look horrible," "My grades are terrible." These were some of the words that always flew around
my mind when passing by other people in school. However, I always covered all these depression
with a smile

Candy Bars Vs Flower Fundraiser
Have you ever thought about starting a different kind fundraiser at our school? Well, I have, and I
think a flower fundraiser would be a great option. Who doesn't like flowers? Selling flowers could
help us raise money for the school in many aspects. You could even sell the flowers individually or
by the dozen. Purchasing flowers, in large quantities, would cost less. A flower fundraiser would be
more beneficial than candy bars because you wouldn't have to buy as many flowers as bars, and you
will get more profit from the flowers. A flower fundraiser will require fewer items to be sold and
make more money for each item sold. For the school to make a $1000 profit for a flower fundraiser,
you would need to purchase 883 flowers.

Descriptive Essay On Candy
Being a young boy, I wasn't the brightest light bulb in the ceiling. I was the kind of kid that could
get good grades, but when told to put an ice bag in the freezer, I accidently put it in the fridge. A
person that would go to a parade, and take the good pieces of candy that they threw. It was not one
of the smartest things I've done in my life. At this parade, I would steal candy, go to the nearby park,
and play tennis. At the parade, things were starting off very slow. It was very boring for me as a kid,
so I had to try to entertain myself. One of the first things I tried doing at this parade was try to spider
climb up the wall of a building. The roughness of the bricks I would try to grab would cut my small,
fragile fingers and then the blood would start pouring out. I knew that if I was in the ocean, a shark
would smell it from miles away and gobble me up as if I was a turtle. The boredom was eating me to
death, but then I noticed that they were throwing candy at the crowd. I ran up to get some, so excited
to put the delicious pieces of sugar into my mouth. After getting an absurd amount of candy, I saw
my favorite type; a Hershey's chocolate bar. As I was running to get it, I saw a little kid was about to
grab the delicious tantalizing chocolate bar(probably about 6 or 7 years old), I snatched it from his
mitts. I then realised my step–dad, Brian, watched me do that, scolded me then told me to go back
over there and give it to the 6 year old. After that incident I

Personal Narrative: The Get Away
The Get Away
I was eight years old and on the run from the cops. I saw a cop car and my chubby cheeks suddenly
paled. I turned and ran, my hair snapping in the wind. I did not realize that my situation could get
worse. How did it come to this one may ask? Well, let me start at the beginning.
I was in Walmart grocery shopping with my mother. We needed milk, cereal, shampoo, and a few
other things. The shopping trip took a while so my mother said I could get a candy bar to eat in the
car. Excited, I ran to pick one. There were so many choices: Reese's cups, Hershey bars, Milky
Ways. I finally decided on a Snickers bar. My mother paid for the groceries and together we started
to head to the door. It was not until I felt a heavy hand on my shoulder and heard a deep voice say,
"excuse me ma'am," that I realized my mother forgot to pay for my candy bar. Everyone's eyes

Ban On Immigration Research Paper
A Modest Proposal to Trump Concerning the Ban on Immigration The most recent news coming
from Washington is the immigration bill that Donald Trump has just signed into effect. This places a
ban on immigration for anyone that is a citizen or naturalized in Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan,
Syria and Yemen. The problem is that Trump is banning a whole people based upon their country of
origin when truly only a very small majority of the people from there are coming for malicious
reasons. Although Trump's administration has tried to understate the importance of this act by
addressing it as a, " 'temporary pause' ", citizens of these seven countries have had their lives in

reason why this ban is simply idiotic. This will increase tensions and push these countries to develop

you built your sandcastle does not mean you have to go and destroy theirs just to prove that yours is

I nominate that we lift the ban and instead make contact with the citizens of those countries to help

Gransel And Hetel: A Short Story
Once upon a time, not that long ago, there was a poor family that lived in New York City. The
family included a mother, father, and their twins, Gransel and Hetel. The family was so poor that
they couldn't afford to feed all four of them. The mother then talked with the father and told him she
believes it is a good idea to abandon the children in an alley in Chinatown. The father doesn't want
to leave his children, but goes with it anyways. The mother and father tell Gransel and Hetel that
they are going into the city to ask for money. When the family finds a nice place to sit in an alley,
the mother looks at the kids and says, "Okay children. Your father and I are going to go down the

was a rat or something running around and they tried to fall back asleep. All of the sudden,
something swooped down on Gransel and Hetel and grabbed them. The next thing they know, they
are tied up in the very back of the alley. After about an hour of trying to get free, Gransel and Hetel
saw a black figure walking toward them from a different part of the alley. The black figure came
close to the twins and said, "Hello there." It then turned on a small lamp beside the them. The thing
that looked down on them was a beautiful young women. She wore a beautiful green dress, had

I would like to think of myself as a healthy eater. I try not to eat much meat during the week and I

I am sure my kids will think I am strange, when I go buy myself big bag of skittles. Other people
may want a better description, but the best way has to be to actually go out and try them first hand.
I am sure we have all seen or heard about taffy. What I would think would come to mind to most
people when I would say something regarding taffy might be something concerning saltwater taffy. I
love saltwater taffy. It seems that it is not in great supply around here. The only place I know of is
somewhere like the cracker barrel. Needless to say I never go to cracker barrel, and it is a little more
than I feel comfortable spending on candy. So I find myself resorting to a childhood favorite, laffy
taffy. It is sold everywhere, and it is very inexpensive. I really started to like it when I played
baseball as a kid. After the game I would always try to pump mom or dad for a few cents to stock
up. It never made it home. I would somehow eat my entire entire stockpile. Whoever came up with
the idea of putting jokes inside the wrapper is a very rich man. I could not help but to try to unwrap

Short Summary Of Us And Them By David Sedaris
In the story "Us and Them" by David Sedaris, the narrator doesn't live a life like a normal child. The
narrator's family moves very frequently. Currently they're living in a rented home, and will be
moving shortly. So they don't bother making too many neighborhood friends because then they're
going to have to say goodbye in a few weeks. They did make one friend in their neighborhood, but
the narrator's mom believes one friend is good enough. She heard that someone in the neighborhood,
named the tomkeys, don't believe in tv! "The only place that seemed truly different was owned by a
man named Mr. Tomkey, who did not believe in television. This was told to us by our mother's
friend, who dropped by one afternoon with a basketful of okra."

Tomkey did not own a television, and you began hearing that while this was all very well and good,
it was unfair of him to inflict his beliefs upon others, specifically his innocent wife and children. The
narrator and the narrator's mom thought the tomkeys were a bit out of the ordinary. Yes the tomkeys
not having a tv in their home is a bit different from everyone, but you don't need a tv to have a
normal life. They didn't own a tv, they didn't believe in tv. What else could there be? The narrator
was a bit curious so he decided to look through the tomkeys windows during the day, or at night. He
preferred to peek through the tomkeys windows at night time because there was a lower chance that
he would get caught. The narrator thinks not having a tv is weird, peering through people's windows
is even weirder. Spying on people isn't something anyone would do Actually no one would every
spy on people through their windows. That's not something normal people do. I wanted to know
what this something was, and so I began peering through the Tomkeys' windows. During the day I'd
stand across the street from their house, acting as though I were waiting for someone, and at night,
when the view was better and I had less chance of being discovered, I would creep into their yard

Essay On Snickers
How Snickers Are Made According to Wikipedia, the earliest candy bar was made in 1847 in the
United Kingdom by a man called Joseph Fry (Candy bar). In the world there are more than 70 types
of candy bars (Wikipedia). M&M's is in the 1st place, and snickers comes in the 3rd place
(Popcandy | top 50 candy bars). Snickers are a gooey, chewy candy bar fill in for naught peanuts and
caramel wrapped in chocolate (Discovery Channel | How It's Made). Since 1930 snickers company
makes people feeling happy. In fact, people are spending two billion dollars on snickers.
Furthermore, in the United States 99 tonnes of peanuts go into making snickers everyday, because
that gives the candy bars a variety of texture and stronger peanuts impact (How It's Made |
Snickers). The way to make a snickers bar is simple and it is done in seven steps.
The first two steps are show how to create a snicker. These steps are called collecting, and mixing
the ingredients. At the begging, the factory starts gathering the basic needs to make a bar, such as
fresh peanuts, and egg whites. The workers start their day by receiving the fresh crops to make a

bars for baking and freezing, and lastly is wrapping it to deliver the bars to the stores for selling
them. The first step is the longest step, because choosing good and fresh ingredients take a lot of
time and work. The second step is easier than the first step, because most of the work depends on the
machines. The only thing the workers have to do is watching the huge instruments work. The third
move is the most exciting, because watching the chocolate waterfalls makes people looking forward
for it to finish. Snickers are ready now to go through a person's mouth with the delicious taste to fill

The Glass Castle Analysis
In the memoir "The Glass Castle," by Jeannette Walls, the author describes the childhood she was
apart of with her uninvolved parents was somewhat disparate from what other children would
experience in their childhood involving their parents. As a matter of fact Jeannette recorded in her
memoir, "A few days later, when I had been at the hospital for about six weeks, Dad appeared alone
in the doorway of my room. He told me we were going to check out, Rex–Walls style. "Are you sure
this is okay?" I asked. "You just trust your old man," Dad said. He unhooked my right arm from the
sling over my head. As he held me close, I breathed in his familiar smell of Vitalis, whiskey, and
cigarette smoke. It reminded me of home" (Walls 14). Therefore Rex Walls is uninvolved in his
children's lives because of one example when Jeannette has been injured in the hospital for six
weeks and her father comes to the room for the first time when she is supposed to stay in the
hospital to rest and keep under supervision by the doctors. Most parents would stay at the hospital
with their children but instead, Rex takes her out of the hospital. Jeannette is still hurt and is trying
to heal, yet he comes in with the smell of alcohol on his breath and leaves without paying the
doctors for the safekeeping of Jeannette. Jeannette's father tells her to trust him when he hasn't been
there for her for what probably seemed like forever to Jeannette, when she needed him the most.
Another example that Jeannette logged about her experiences was, "Are you chewing something?"
he asked. "My teeth hurt," Mom said, but she was getting all shifty–eyed, glancing around the room
and avoiding our stars. "It's my bad gums. I'm working my jaw to increase the circulation." Brian
yanked the covers back. Lying on the mattress next to Mom was one of those huge family–sized
Hershey chocolate bars, the shiny silver wrapper pulled back and torn away. She'd already eaten half
of it. Mom started crying. "I can't help it," she sobbed. "I'm a sugar addict, just like your father is an
alcoholic" (Walls 174). Furthermore it shows that Mary–Jane Walls is also uninvolved in her
children's lives because she had not cared and had not assisted them with getting food so they

Ad Analysis : Snickers Commercial
Ad Analysis: Snickers Commercial The average person will watch approximately 2 million
commercials throughout their lifetime. In this technologically driven environment, it's the most
effective method of appealing to an intended audience. However, there is a lot more to an
advertisement than meets the eye. There are numerous methods being used in order to appeal to the
audience. Corporations and businesses focus on rhetorical appeal when it comes to creating a
successful advertisement.
This art of persuasion is famously known around the Super Bowl breaks. Companies annually invest
massively into the production of commercials that air during the Super Bowl breaks. The shocking
quality of the production has reached the point where now, a portion of the viewers are simply
watching the football game just for the cunning commercials.
In the 2010 Super Bowl, Snickers coined the phrases, "you aren't you when you're hungry" and
"Snickers satisfies". These statements alone depict rhetoric through pathos and logos. It's humorous
to think that you are a completely different person when you're hungry. It's an exaggerated
expression. Since everyone has experienced hunger before, we can logically relate. In an alliterated
response, snickers states they supply satisfaction for said hunger.
Snickers also goes on to play a commercial in which illustrates an intense game of football at the
park. Next, the audience learns that Betty White is one of the wide receivers. When the ball is

So 1 hour went by and I was trying my best to stay quiet. It had been 1 hour but to me it felt like an
eternity. But i tried my best to stay focused on my mom but my eye was drawn to a sparkly sign that
read "Candy Factory."
The sign caught my eye in a heartbeat, so I wandered off to the candy store. My parents say they
didn't notice. For about 5 minutes, that is till my mom realized i wasn't behind her. The candy store i
was at was only about 4 stores down,so when my mom was yelling my name trying to find me I
could hear her but i was too mesmerized with all the candy. My mom was calling my name and the
employee of the shop heard and she kindly went over to me and said
"Sweetie do have an guardian with you?" and I completely ignored her. She then said "Is that your
mom calling you?" and once again I ignored her. That is when I did something completely shocking.
This part is the part that makes this story interesting. I saw an candy that seemed good so I took the

Robert Nozick's Essay 'Coercion'
In this essay i will argue that what is bad about Coercion is that it motivates the Coercer to act badly.
I will divide this essay into two sections, the first section (§ 1) being an explanatory section on
coercion, and the second (§2) an investigation into what is bad about coercion.
In (§1) I will give a brief historical account of coercion, and outline why it is seen as a issue worth
conceptualising. I will then present an account of coercion closely drawn from Robert Nozick that
holds the issuing of a conditional threat (CT) essential to coercion.
§2 will be concerned with answering "what is bad about coercion?". I will understand this question's
aim to be identifying what aspect of coercion provides its wrongfulness.
In order to do this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In §2a) I will consider two views on what is bad about wrongful coercion. The first being that it
restricts autonomy, and the second that it is wrong as a result of the fear it induces. After presenting
each view i will debate what i believe to be an unresolvable issue that arises from attributing the
wrongfulness of coercion to either fear or autonomy. In §2b) I will then go onto argue that what
makes coercion bad is the increased likelihood of the Coercer carrying out the wrongful action he
has threatened the Coercee with.
§2a i)Raz stated that to reduce the autonomy the desirable options that were available to an agent
must be reduced. In an instance of coercion the Coercer makes a CT in order to reduce the
desirability of a particular choice in order to get him to choose a different action. For example if
someone was to stand inside a shop and say "If you buy a chocolate bar, i am going to shoot you".
They would be reducing the autonomy of people visiting the shop by reducing the desirability of
buying a chocolate bar. With this conception of autonomy it is clear that in an instance of coercion
autonomy is

Hershey's Chocolate
Hershey's, Marketing One Generation Ahead

MKT350 – Consumer Behavior

Abstract
Hershey's Chocolate is one of the most recognizable brands in the U.S. Hershey built this
recognition by building brand loyalty. They began to build this loyalty in the early 1990's by
targeting their marketing to adults. The reasons for this are many, but two are that adults eat about
55% of all candy consumed and that mothers shape their children's early taste in candy. Hershey
revised their marketing strategy in several ways. Hershey also has an amusement park in the
hometown of the Company, Hershey, Pennsylvania.

They are M & M looking candy that comes in a zip top bag. This market segment allows the
more mobile fast paced adults carry a small re–sealable bag in their car or in a desk drawer, instead
of leaving a half–eaten candy bar in the same place. The process of choosing the "bag" of candy
over a candy bar falls into the low involvement, high knowledge problem solving process (Peter
& Olson, 2012, p. 177). The consumer has a high knowledge of the product, a candy bar, and
presumably has a favorable view of the candy. It requires low involvement because the buyer knows
they like the candy, but prefer to have the bag of candy because of the convenience and other
attributes previously mentioned. I prefer the original size of candy bar.
My Last Candy Purchase
The most recent candy purchase I made was at the local grocery store. I have a favorable disposition

cognition). I stood in the adult beverage section for several minutes trying to decide what "flavor" I
was in the mood for that weekend. I made a selection (overt behavior) and continued

Milton Hershey's Accomplishments
Milton Hershey once said, "If I ever become rich, I am going to use my money to build schools to
give every boy and girl an opportunity to get an education" (Quotes Said by Milton Hershey). These
words reflected how Milton Hershey felt about education because he was uneducated and forced to
drop out. Hershey knew from that point on that he wanted to help others get educated. The Hershey
Company helped him achieve these goals. Milton Hershey always has a passion for candy making,
and he fulfilled his dream by becoming one of the most successful chocolate entrepreneurs. He used
his wealth to create a school for orphaned boys and helped anyone in need.
Milton Hershey was born on September 13, 1857 in Derry Township, Pennsylvania to Henry

The brown used so prominently evokes ground, the earth, and of course chocolate. The yellow has a
tint of brown in it to give it a more golden hue, reminiscent of the riches needed to purchase it so
long ago. The ruby red of the cherries and the hints of sapphire blue serve to classify chocolate as a
jewel of food, and treat to be savored and valued. The smooth, rich brown of the candy wrapper is
representative of the finished product and visually triggers the mind to recall the feeling of smooth

The natural patterned background reminds us that cacao is what chocolate is made from, and it

Creative Story : A Short Story
It was a dark halloween night. 7 year old Sophie and 13 year old Tommy were just heading home
from trick–or–treat. Their town was a good place to go trick–or–treating. The neighbors always knew

was something he had never seen before. He saw his father watching television and he could smell
fresh collard greens, mashed potatoes, and a big juicy steak. All he could think about was eating but
he kept looking over at that house figure. Immediately, he took Sophie in and told his mom he was
going to the Little Quick Market around the corner to get salt and pepper. Of course she said okay.
Tommy slowly walked over toward the house.
The wind was like ghosts singing. The leaves were crumbling like somebody was eating potato
chips. Tommy started to walk a little faster. Then, a little faster. He started to hear screams, really
loud screams. He turned around and ran and ran and ran until he got home. When he barged in his
house his mom had a really confused look on her face. Although it was a confused look it was more
of a "I caught ya" look. She asked why Tom didn't have the salt and pepper in my hand. He made up
some lie and said the road was crossed off. That was the most stupidest excuse ever because for
One, mom had already been in town to get dinner stuff just 1 hour ago. For Two, since Tommy was
walking he could still get to the market. And for Three, his mom had saw him walk over to that
house and then run back. "How about I answer that question", said mom. She went on and on about
how Tom was in so much trouble for going over there. She was booming, and hollering, and
shouting, and yelling. She sent Little Tom to the store again with seven dollars to get some salt and

Neon Candy Bar Experiment
After reading the passage above on the neon candy bar which are causing children to become hyper.
All three hypothesis sound valid but the candy bar company conducted an experiment of their own
which was, giving the group of children a candy bar with less amount of sugar in it, the children still
were higher. This leads me to think that either the ink or food coloring is to blame for the
hyperactivity from consuming the neon candy bar. I don't think the ink could impact on this as much
as believed by developer C for we would have to find out what was the packaging exactly made of.
My hypothesis is that the children would be less hyperactivity after consuming a different color
candy bar with the same amount of sugar. After reading both hypotheses

Candy Bar Scene Essay

  • 1. Candy Bar Scene Essay Write what you love You have probably noticed that you don't tend to let yourself be distracted from things that you enjoy and are really excited about. When writer Rachel Aaron was experimenting to find out what conditions made her most productive, she realized that she wrote most on the days on which she worked on the scenes she'd been dying to write. Fantasy and science fiction writer Holly Lisle calls them "candy–bar scenes." CREATE CANDY–BAR SCENES Candy–bar scenes have nothing to do with eating a Snickers or a Hershey's Bar. These are your favorite scenes that you're just itching to write since you first had the idea for the book. For a romance writer, it might be the first kiss scene; for a mystery writer, it might be a surprising plot twist; for a sci–fi writer it might be a scene with a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Remember: if you are bored with a scene or section of your book, your readers will be too. Find something exciting in every scene you're about to write. If you're not excited about an upcoming scene, ask yourself why. Is it merely a filler scene that needs to be cut? Do you need to rework the scene to make it more interesting? DON'T WRITE FOR THE MARKET There are trends in publishing just as there are in fashion. For example, after the success of The Hunger Games, dystopian fiction became a trend; Twilight made paranormal romances with vampires popular, and after Fifty Shades of Grey topped the bestseller charts, sales of erotic romances skyrocketed. It might be tempting to some writers to chase these trends and write a book in a genre or about a topic that is "hot" right now. There are several problems with that: First, the market changes constantly. It's hard to predict what genre will become the next publishing trend and how long that trend is going to last. By the time you have written your book, the market might be saturated and agents and readers are tired of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. The Supermarket : Prime Real Estate We have all been to a supermarket or store at some point in our lives. Have we found ourselves placing items in the cart that we did not come to buy, and why is that? Is there a reason the products we need are located in the back of the store? Marion Nestle wrote an article entitled, "The Supermarket: Prime Real Estate." She teaches in the department of nutrition and food studies at New York University. Nestle writes a column regarding food for the San Francisco Chronicle. Shortly after reading the title, one can determine Nestle opposes supermarkets. "Prime Real Estate," indicates that large supermarkets are feeding grounds for them against unsuspecting customers. Supermarkets can determine what somebody will buy, based on where the store places certain products. The general argument made by Nestle in her work, "The Supermarket: Prime Real Estate, is that supermarkets are taking advantage of our unconscious mind and we are purchasing products on impulse. Extensive research concludes that the average customer will stray away from their shopping list and will purchase something on impulse. 70% of buyers bring lists into the store, roughly 10% of shoppers stick to their list. Managers have succeeded when a shopper buys what is on the end shelf or on sale. It is by design that milk, meats, and bread is located towards the back of the store. Managers and owners cause customers to walk past as many products as possible before they pick up the products they went in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The hours for our store would be Monday – Thursday 11am – 8pm, Friday – Saturday 10am – 9pm. The reasons that we have chosen these times is that we need to stay open all day for the people that are out and about during the day but, we also try to stay open later during the day because there are many things that happen after dinner time in downtown Salisbury such as, Gallery Gallop, Music at the Mural, Buskers Bash, Holiday Night Out. This shop will make and sell candies such as Warbites, PB&J Cups and Chocobutters. The location of our candy shop would be in a small rural area like downtown salisbury. The exact ... Just A Dream Narrative Prologue: Just a Dream The cool crisp air, the leaves changing different colors, the moist wet grounds of the mud and the dry crunchy leaves, the warm sunlight through the tall trees of the forest, being outdoors for hours and running for a long time without getting tired. That is a few of my favorite things about being a wolf and also is my favorite season because Halloween, pumpkin spice or minty drinks with treats also get to be myself for a while. I always have this dream where I just run and run, just to get out of the house to get some air to clear my mind from lots of things that is running through my mind. The cool crisp air makes me breath heavy though my nose and muzzle, its kind the of the cold that is like a frozen ice cube in the freezer. The moon shines down through the tall trees of the forest that makes my fur glow silver color like a glow in the dark shiny sticker. The light breeze tickles and blows though my white fur that makes me shiver in delight. The warm like sticky mud and grass squashes underneath my paws while running though my favorite part of the woods that is on my daily running patrol route. I couldn't sleep, so I was dying to go for a run also to clear my mind from a lot of things that isn't normal for a teenager girl like myself, which shouldn't be stuck into two different world and have to pretend to be two different people at once. Another idea of a product I have chosen to develop my product as opposed to other products because other markets are not as big as the chocolate industry for example chewing gum and doughnuts have smaller industries with fewer competitors and therefore they will have fewer potential customers compared to customers of chocolate products. For my product I have decided to consult and work within Cadburys. Cadburys is a worldwide famous chocolate brand which is a factory based in Birmingham. This business is well established and therefore would be a good business to launch my product within as my business will already have potential and existing customers of Cadburys, this will help to expand and grow the business which will lead to an increased amount of profits earnt from my product. Also by choosing to work along with Cadburys, I believe this suits my product because they are on the same market as my new product, this also means we will have the same target market and will be a good company to work with. By working for Cadburys this will also be a benefit for them because It will give them diversification and reach out to new potential customers. • 13. M & M: The Chocolate Layer Of Cream The most iconic candy bar today is the Snickers bar, after recently having passed M&M. Introduced in 1930 by Mars, it quickly became one of the most popular candies on the market. The layer of creamy nougat, the layer of peanuts embedded in caramel, and the smooth milk chocolate coating harmonize to create a mouthwatering dessert. Each part of this chocolate bar is essential to the flavor and overall experience of the dessert. The first thing that a consumer sees when choosing a candy bar is the wrapper. The typeface of the letters that make up the word "SNICKERS" is large, bold, all capitalized, and fills up almost the entire front of the wrapper. The background of the wrapper is brown, foreshadowing the silky chocolate that the customer will see upon unwrapping the chocolate bar. If this font were not as powerful, smaller, or lowercase the wrapper would not stand out from the rest of the chocolate bars. The red, white, and blue color of the word "SNICKERS" on the front of the wrapper also reminds a customer of their country, as the bar was first manufactured in the USA and UK, instilling a sense of pride when they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The four main parts of the bar are the chocolate coating, the nougat, the peanuts, and the caramel. Let us first focus on the chocolate coating portion of the candy bar, for it is the first ingredient that a person experiences. The chocolate used in the standard Snickers bar is a sweet milk chocolate. If a dark chocolate or white chocolate were used, it would be too bitter or too sweet, taking away from the overall experience. The bitterness of the dark chocolate would clash with the other ingredients, while white chocolate would overpower the entire bar. The amount go chocolate used is perfect; using too much chocolate would overwhelm the bar, making it too sweet, and too little would cause the caramel and nougat inside to attack the mouth of the consumer too ... • 15. The Fat Girl Analysis In every culture, there are certain societal standards that people are expected to live up to. Some have find it easy to accept and fit in, while other struggle to find themselves within society's ideals. Society places a great emphasis on the way women should look to be considered beautiful and many women fail to live up to those standards. In the short story "The Fat Girl" by Andre Dubus, the reader sees how the main character Louise, a fat girl, struggles to fit in with pressure society places on her that to be considered beautiful, one must be thin. Louise, for the majority of her life, outwardly appears as if she's trying to conform to society's standards of dieting and trying to be thin, but when completely alone, she hides her guilty pleasure of binge eating candy bars. The pressure is placed upon her from her childhood and follows her throughout her life, until her marriage falls apart after she gains weight. Andre Dubus shows us, through the events that occur in Louise's life, that only after accepting ourselves they way we are, despite societal pressures of conforming to a certain standard, can we begin the road to becoming happy. She wants to be accepted for who she is, not for what she looks like. It isn't until her marriage dissolves that she acknowledges that she needs to accept herself and be comfortable in her own skin before she can become happy. From a young age, Louise is made aware of the pressure society places on women to be thin. When she is nine years old, her mother starts pointing out how Louise needs to start watching what she's eating, and places her on a diet. Her mother tells her, "In five years you'll be in high school and if you're fat the boys won't like you; they won't ask you out" (Dubus 125). Her mother tells her that if by the time she enters high school she isn't thin, she won't have any chance of being in a relationship or being looked at as beautiful. Louise, and many other girls who are in a similar situation, are trained at a young age to believe that beauty is equated with being thin. This makes Louise start out life thinking that she'll never be good enough; she'll never be accepted by others until she becomes the ideal skinny girl. As a nine year old, she ... • 19. The Story Of Halloween : Personal Narrative : My Story Have you ever thought that your Halloween could turn into such a disaster that you would never want to eat a piece of candy again? Well, it definitely can, so think about my story when the months pass and it becomes October again. Please, read on and enjoy... RING!!! RING!!! I was ecstatic about my friend trick or treating with me for the first time. I wobbled down the stairs; then stumbled to the door and ran out at full speed. But it turned out to be the pizza guy, so I trudged back inside. "Mom," I called, "The pizza's here!" "Coming!" my mom yelled back, "Just one second, ok?" "Yeah, sure!" I shouted back. Because I knew she wouldn't come down in time, I took the pizza from the man, I handed him the twenty dollars that I had socked away in my pocket for no reason."Thanks for the pizza!" I stated to the guy, "Have a wonderful Halloween night!" "Thanks," he called back, "You, too." As he drove off, I saw another car drive up. My friend Emily was here. She called out from the car, "Hey, Katherine." "Hi, Emily, come on in." She came out of her (huge) car with a bag (probably makeup supplies) and her phone. We started to put on the makeup. We put some white eyeshadow all over our faces to make us look pale. Then, we added black eyeshadow all around our eyes, around our noses and on the contours of our faces. After that came the best part: the giant wound in the middle of our neck. We layered latex and tissue on our skin and waited until ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. Halloween Informative Speech Gather the crosses and grab the salt!ㅡHalloween is approaching! It is almost that time of year again where it is socially acceptable to wear a hotdog costume in various public settings. As a matter of fact, as of last year, "Halloween retail spending is projected to be $8.4 billion [in America]" ("Halloween Spending Statistics, Facts and Trends"). One could purchase an insane amount of hotdog costumes with such money. As exemplified, we often use Halloween as a humorous outlet for our weird tendencies; it is also a time of year to act dark and spooky, which is also enticing. I believe Halloween is the best holiday because people dress in creative costumes, receive a variety of treats, but, amidst all this hoopla, fail to recognize the diverse origins of the holiday. Now, what is Halloween most popular for? The wacky costumes of course! You can dress up as virtually anything. This is one of the few holidays where people are given room to become inventive. You could acquire a costume so exact, you look exactly like Queen Elizabeth herself. Or one could simply put on a tee shirt, talk in a robotic voice, and claim they are themselves robotic clone. The amount of effort someone put into a costume does not take away from how clever it is and that is amazing, too. It is not only amusing to wear the costumes, but it is fun to see what people come up with for themselves every year. Once you and your friends have your costumes on, you are ready to knock on strangers doors and basically demand candy or other sorts from them. It is that uncomplicated. Each house is a mystery as to which treats they will give to you. Some may give you Dum–Dums, others hand out full–size candy bars, and very few bake Halloween–themed pastries. Sure, you have to walk around town, from door to door, saying the same thing, and your feet may begin to hurt. However, I, as a dedicated individual, will not allow my feet's agenda to interrupt me from gathering as many treats on this one evening. Yes, my feet may be blistered from walking around in my medieval clogs, but at least I can ice them while enjoying the twenty–three Twix bars I gained on my outing. So I was frequently scared to confront my true–self in the mirror and ignored my fundamental problem. When I devoured three plates of lasagna and every sip of the cream soup that would add another pound of fat and flesh to my stomach, "you should control your eating habits," "stopped" were two of the many concerned advice that I commonly heard in a daily basis. But all of them did not understand what I was going through. People always said that the scoops of ice cream and a stack of waffles were the problem for me, but it was more than what meets the eye for my situation. The stacking piles of homework and the mean test scores that always ignored the effort I put in gave me so much frustration and stress. To overcome all this, I always found myself reflected in the mirror holding a melting chocolate bar in my one hand and my pencil on the other, sitting next to a pile of snacks. However, as the weight gauge points to a new higher number everyday, I got more stress from the humiliating number and the thoughts of others judging my appearance that led me to opening another candy bar. It was a vicious cycle. "I look horrible," "My grades are terrible." These were some of the words that always flew around my mind when passing by other people in school. At this parade, I would steal candy, go to the nearby park, and play tennis. At the parade, things were starting off very slow. It was very boring for me as a kid, so I had to try to entertain myself. One of the first things I tried doing at this parade was try to spider climb up the wall of a building. The roughness of the bricks I would try to grab would cut my small, fragile fingers and then the blood would start pouring out. I knew that if I was in the ocean, a shark would smell it from miles away and gobble me up as if I was a turtle. The boredom was eating me to death, but then I noticed that they were throwing candy at the crowd. I ran up to get some, so excited to put the delicious pieces of sugar into my mouth. After getting an absurd amount of candy, I saw my favorite type; a Hershey's chocolate bar. As I was running to get it, I saw a little kid was about to grab the delicious tantalizing chocolate bar(probably about 6 or 7 years old), I snatched it from his mitts. I was in Walmart grocery shopping with my mother. We needed milk, cereal, shampoo, and a few other things. The shopping trip took a while so my mother said I could get a candy bar to eat in the car. Excited, I ran to pick one. There were so many choices: Reese's cups, Hershey bars, Milky Ways. I finally decided on a Snickers bar. The problem is that Trump is banning a whole people based upon their country of origin when truly only a very small majority of the people from there are coming for malicious reasons. Although Trump's administration has tried to understate the importance of this act by addressing it as a, " 'temporary pause' ", citizens of these seven countries have had their lives in America come to a screeching halt (Kennedy, Merit. • 53. The Glass Castle Analysis In the memoir "The Glass Castle," by Jeannette Walls, the author describes the childhood she was apart of with her uninvolved parents was somewhat disparate from what other children would experience in their childhood involving their parents. As a matter of fact Jeannette recorded in her memoir, "A few days later, when I had been at the hospital for about six weeks, Dad appeared alone in the doorway of my room. He told me we were going to check out, Rex–Walls style. "Are you sure this is okay?" I asked. "You just trust your old man," Dad said. He unhooked my right arm from the sling over my head. As he held me close, I breathed in his familiar smell of Vitalis, whiskey, and cigarette smoke. It reminded me of home" (Walls 14). Therefore Rex Walls is uninvolved in his children's lives because of one example when Jeannette has been injured in the hospital for six weeks and her father comes to the room for the first time when she is supposed to stay in the hospital to rest and keep under supervision by the doctors. Most parents would stay at the hospital with their children but instead, Rex takes her out of the hospital. Jeannette is still hurt and is trying to heal, yet he comes in with the smell of alcohol on his breath and leaves without paying the doctors for the safekeeping of Jeannette. Jeannette's father tells her to trust him when he hasn't been there for her for what probably seemed like forever to Jeannette, when she needed him the most. Another example that Jeannette logged about her experiences was, "Are you chewing something?" he asked. "My teeth hurt," Mom said, but she was getting all shifty–eyed, glancing around the room and avoiding our stars. "It's my bad gums. I'm working my jaw to increase the circulation." Brian yanked the covers back. Lying on the mattress next to Mom was one of those huge family–sized Hershey chocolate bars, the shiny silver wrapper pulled back and torn away. She'd already eaten half of it. Mom started crying. "I can't help it," she sobbed. "I'm a sugar addict, just like your father is an alcoholic" (Walls 174). It's humorous to think that you are a completely different person when you're hungry. It's an exaggerated expression. Since everyone has experienced hunger before, we can logically relate. In an alliterated response, snickers states they supply satisfaction for said hunger. Snickers also goes on to play a commercial in which illustrates an intense game of football at the park. Next, the audience learns that Betty White is one of the wide receivers. When the ball is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 57. Candy Shop Story : The Story Of The Candy Shop Story Today I am going to tell you what me and my family call the "Candy Shop Story." So, this story takes place at a mall on April 8th,2011. It was my birthday and my all time favorite place to go as a kid was the Colorado Mills mall. For my birthday my parents took me we spent basically all day there, just shopping around just for me. Now that does sound like I am a complete brat, but it was my birthday so of course the day was for me. I remember that I was so satisfied with hermit crabs that i was begging my mom to let me get one, specifically the one with the minnie mouse logo painted on its shell. However my mom wouldn't let me get one probably because i had already killed two goldfish before then. I do want to point out that growing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So 1 hour went by and I was trying my best to stay quiet. It had been 1 hour but to me it felt like an eternity. But i tried my best to stay focused on my mom but my eye was drawn to a sparkly sign that read "Candy Factory." The sign caught my eye in a heartbeat, so I wandered off to the candy store. My parents say they didn't notice. For about 5 minutes, that is till my mom realized i wasn't behind her. The candy store i was at was only about 4 stores down,so when my mom was yelling my name trying to find me I could hear her but i was too mesmerized with all the candy. My mom was calling my name and the employee of the shop heard and she kindly went over to me and said "Sweetie do have an guardian with you?" and I completely ignored her. She then said "Is that your mom calling you?" and once again I ignored her. That is when I did something completely shocking. This part is the part that makes this story interesting. I saw an candy that seemed good so I took the candy bar off the shelf and opened it and just ate it. Then i ate about 2 more different candy bars. To top it all off, I saw what i had been waiting for all day...THE DIPPIN DOTS MACHINE!! Me being me I walked up to the machine and grabbed a large cup filled it to the top and grabbed 2 more candy bars and walked right out of the store where i saw my mom standing talking to the security guard of the mall. I walked right up to them like nothing ever happened and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 59. Robert Nozick's Essay 'Coercion' In this essay i will argue that what is bad about Coercion is that it motivates the Coercer to act badly. I will divide this essay into two sections, the first section (§ 1) being an explanatory section on coercion, and the second (§2) an investigation into what is bad about coercion. In (§1) I will give a brief historical account of coercion, and outline why it is seen as a issue worth conceptualising. I will then present an account of coercion closely drawn from Robert Nozick that holds the issuing of a conditional threat (CT) essential to coercion. §2 will be concerned with answering "what is bad about coercion?". I will understand this question's aim to be identifying what aspect of coercion provides its wrongfulness. In order to do this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In §2a) I will consider two views on what is bad about wrongful coercion. The first being that it restricts autonomy, and the second that it is wrong as a result of the fear it induces. After presenting each view i will debate what i believe to be an unresolvable issue that arises from attributing the wrongfulness of coercion to either fear or autonomy. In §2b) I will then go onto argue that what makes coercion bad is the increased likelihood of the Coercer carrying out the wrongful action he has threatened the Coercee with. §2a i)Raz stated that to reduce the autonomy the desirable options that were available to an agent must be reduced. In an instance of coercion the Coercer makes a CT in order to reduce the desirability of a particular choice in order to get him to choose a different action. For example if someone was to stand inside a shop and say "If you buy a chocolate bar, i am going to shoot you". They would be reducing the autonomy of people visiting the shop by reducing the desirability of buying a chocolate bar. With this conception of autonomy it is clear that in an instance of coercion autonomy is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Hershey's Chocolate Hershey's, Marketing One Generation Ahead Joe MKT350 – Consumer Behavior Siena Heights University December 2, 2012 Abstract Hershey's Chocolate is one of the most recognizable brands in the U.S. Hershey built this recognition by building brand loyalty. They began to build this loyalty in the early 1990's by targeting their marketing to adults. The reasons for this are many, but two are that adults eat about 55% of all candy consumed and that mothers shape their children's early taste in candy. Hershey revised their marketing strategy in several ways. Hershey also has an amusement park in the hometown of the Company, Hershey, Pennsylvania. This market segment allows the more mobile fast paced adults carry a small re–sealable bag in their car or in a desk drawer, instead of leaving a half–eaten candy bar in the same place. The process of choosing the "bag" of candy over a candy bar falls into the low involvement, high knowledge problem solving process (Peter & Olson, 2012, p. 177). The consumer has a high knowledge of the product, a candy bar, and presumably has a favorable view of the candy. It requires low involvement because the buyer knows they like the candy, but prefer to have the bag of candy because of the convenience and other attributes previously mentioned. I prefer the original size of candy bar. My Last Candy Purchase The most recent candy purchase I made was at the local grocery store. I have a favorable disposition toward this store (cognition). I went in for a short specific shopping trip. I walked in and was greeted by the scent of the fresh produce that is very near the door. I like the way the store is laid out (environment). I know where the things I want are located. I had a short list in my head of things to pick up, so I began my assault on the aisles without taking a cart (thinking and deciding actions of cognition). I stood in the adult beverage section for several minutes trying to decide what "flavor" I was in the mood for that weekend. I made a selection (overt behavior) and continued ... Disney Springs At Jock Lindsey Yesterday evening we went over to Disney Springs for dinner at Jock Lindsey 's, but first we wanted to swing by the new Ganachery Chocolate Shoppe that had just opened a couple days before. We love good chocolate, so we had high hopes for this newest addition to the list of high–end foodie shops at Walt Disney World. The Ganachery did not disappoint! For most people, unless you know of some little artisan confectionery, the best chocolates you can get your hands on are Godiva. There is an excitement and ritual to opening that gleaming golden box and breathing in that smell. Amplify the smell, the taste, the creaminess by 10 fold; THEN you have the Ganachery chocolates! You can find the shop kitty–corner from Jock Lindsey 's, just past the turn off for Raglan Road. When we arrived there was only another couple in line ahead of us and we were allowed inside after only a minute or two. They were limiting the number of people who could shop at one time because the footprint of the floor is incredibly tiny. If I recall they only wanted 7 or 8 customers to be inside at one time. I didn 't feel that the short wait was too much to ask, even though some people stomped off after only being in line 30 seconds or so. They were offering free sea salt caramel samples while we waited so who was I to complain!? When I first walked in the first thing that I noticed was the lighting... it 's terrible for taking photos, lol, so let me apologize right now for the terrible quality of some of ... The brown used so prominently evokes ground, the earth, and of course chocolate. The yellow has a tint of brown in it to give it a more golden hue, reminiscent of the riches needed to purchase it so long ago. The ruby red of the cherries and the hints of sapphire blue serve to classify chocolate as a jewel of food, and treat to be savored and valued. The smooth, rich brown of the candy wrapper is representative of the finished product and visually triggers the mind to recall the feeling of smooth silkiness of rich chocolate on the palate. The natural patterned background reminds us that cacao is what chocolate is made from, and it grows on trees. It has the appearance of bark and ties in with cherries and nuts, also products of trees. The logo in the web site name, ChocolateBar.com and in the company name, Endangered Species Chocolate, includes leaves, which complete the visual imagery of trees and nature. The choice of a simple font for the advertisement keeps with the simple message of natural and organic. No fancy scripts or trendy lettering, but rather, clean simple lines. The one exception to that is the word "chocolate" in the company's name. That font is a flourished script–like design that circles back again to the context of fancy and exclusive. They found out that the 10–16 age range was a tribal and friendship orientated age group, which knew global issues, trusted the ideas behind comic relief and understood the concept of 'fairness,' but were unfamiliar with Fair Trading. They chose chocolate based on brand appeal and taste. Therefore, by exploiting links with comic relief and Fair Trade the target audience would see Dubble as a popular and trusted product which aimed to increase fairness in the world. From my market research, I wanted to find out how popular the product was, and whether any improvements could be introduced. I needed to ascertain key forms of entertainment used by 10–16 year olds so that the selling and advertising of Dubble could be more focussed. I needed to find out the proportion of average pocket money spent on chocolates, so that Dubble could be priced accordingly, and to see if people had heard about fair trading and if not, as to how to best convey the Fair Trade message. Most teenagers shopped at Safeway's, visited the cinema often, used a varied range of media and were fairly familiar with the new product. Most spent about a £1/week on chocolate. My findings also demonstrated that Dubble is best advertised on T.V, as this was the main form of media used which, influenced teenagers when it came to buying products. Their town was a good place to go trick–or–treating. The neighbors always knew what candy the kids wanted. They remarkably knew what the Robinson family liked. (Sophie and Tommy) Just as they were heading in the door, Tommy saw something strange across the street. It was something he had never seen before. He saw his father watching television and he could smell fresh collard greens, mashed potatoes, and a big juicy steak. All he could think about was eating but he kept looking over at that house figure. Immediately, he took Sophie in and told his mom he was going to the Little Quick Market around the corner to get salt and pepper. Of course she said okay. Tommy slowly walked over toward the house. The wind was like ghosts singing. The leaves were crumbling like somebody was eating potato chips. Tommy started to walk a little faster. Then, a little faster. He started to hear screams, really loud screams. He turned around and ran and ran and ran until he got home. When he barged in his house his mom had a really confused look on her face. Although it was a confused look it was more of a "I caught ya" look. She asked why Tom didn't have the salt and pepper in my hand. He made up some lie and said the road was crossed off. That was the most stupidest excuse ever because for One, mom had already been in town to get dinner stuff just 1 hour ago. For Two, since Tommy was walking he could still get to the market. And for Three, his mom had saw him walk over to that house and then run back. "How about I answer that question", said mom. She went on and on about how Tom was in so much trouble for going over there. She was booming, and hollering, and shouting, and yelling. She sent Little Tom to the store again with seven dollars to get some salt and pepper. This time he got the salt and pepper but when he came back Tommy took a back road. Then finally he snuck into the house. The bushes were untrimmed. The house wasn't decorated. The doormat said "Go Away, I Don't Like You." All three hypothesis sound valid but the candy bar company conducted an experiment of their own which was, giving the group of children a candy bar with less amount of sugar in it, the children still were higher. This leads me to think that either the ink or food coloring is to blame for the hyperactivity from consuming the neon candy bar. I don't think the ink could impact on this as much as believed by developer C for we would have to find out what was the packaging exactly made of.
