2. I named my magazine “Chillin” because they say and spell words without a G. This shows that the
generation of today are more relaxed and laid back.
I chose this font because it shows an urban feel. You can see this because its in big bold writing
with a city scape at the bottom showing an urban feel. This should appeal to the audience because
its big and bold and should be easy for the audience to read. It also relates to a grime magazine
because grime is a urban underground music.
I chose this font because it shows a graffiti style font. This shows that this is a grime magazine
because grime is urban in which graffiti is urban. Graffiti is urban because pieces of art work are
created in an urban environment which relates back to grime because it is urban. This relates to
both male and female because it shows art work which both men and women like, Also it relates
to teenagers who come from an urban city environment.
This is also another graffiti font which relates to an urban feel of the magazine. It seems more of a
male font because of the quick, sharp lines in which can appeal to people apart from males. It
relates to the magazine because graffiti is urban.
This is a more feminine font. This is because of the curvy, Suttel lines which you see. This is
different to the other fonts we have looked at because it is not graffiti, Its more calligraphy. This
can relate to an urban magazine because it can show different aspects apart from a hard working
day, It can show more than rappers or local news. It can show more feminine features in which the
font will represent women and a different aspect of urban culture.
This is a calligraphy font as well. This shows smooth curves but at the ends of the letters sharp
finishing. This relates to an urban culture because its not a smooth ride and can lead to short,
sharp endings. This can relate to both males and females because its smooth but rough. So you
expect the men to be rough and the women to be smooth.
This is a graffiti style font which can relate to females. This font can represent females because it
shows smooth endings at the end of each letter and it shows smooth curve such as in the L’s. This
relates to the urban style of the magazine because its graffiti in which shows people drawing or
“tagging” bus shelters and walls in there area of there urban environment.
This shows the final graffiti font. This is a more manly font because its big and bold. This shows
that it’s a male kind of magazine because people believe males are still dominant even though we
live in a equal society. This shows an urban feel to the magazine because its graffiti and it shows
that the magazine is loud and proud.

3. I.This is a Bell MT font in which I would like to use as a font for the main body text of my magazine. I would like to use this body of
text because it shows a traditional font in which they use on newspapers.
II.This is Arial Rounded MT bold . I would like to use this font because it is an easy to read font in which any one
could read. Also it looks like a newspaper type of font which I would like to keep in my newspaper.
III.This is Accord SF . This font looks classy and it is also easy to read. This is a reason why I would like to
incorporate this into my magazine.
IV.This is Aldine401 BT. I would like to include this in my magazine because its looks fancy and classy. Even though it’s a urban
magazine I would like at least a small amount of non urban styled objects in the magazine.
V.This is BacktalkSerif BTN. This is a font in which I would like to use for my magazine because its simple, yet effective because its
easy to read and anyone can understand it,
VI.This is Bodoni MT. This is a bold font, It is also easy to read so it’s a good thing to incorporate into my magazine.
VII.This is Andre Light SF . This is a long and simple font which is easy for people to understand. It also
keeps in with the traditional font style from newspapers which I would like to include.
VIII. This is Impact. This would be good for a magazine front cover, such as a cover line or a headline. This is because of the huge
writing which will make the cover line or headline stand out.
IX.This is Myriad Pro. This would be good for either writing a double page spread or as a small supplement in my magazine. This is
because of the easy to read font with also a bit of formality. This makes it easier for the readers.
X.This is Franklin Gothic Demi Cond this would be good for the font on a double page spread. This font shows that it is easy to read
and it also looks like a traditional magazine/newspaper font which I was partially looking for in my magazine.
Gill Sans MT Ext Condensed Bold . This would be good for a headline or for a

cover line. This is because of the thin but bold writing shown, which will help with the
audience reading the magazine and also it will also help at the fact that it shows something
different in a magazine.
